MilHoc Whisky Français from mycreative on Vimeo.
Milhóc Whisky is located in the middle of France's famous Armagnac-producing region! Their first-born single-grain whiskey, Le Premier-Né and a second limited edition bottle called Premier Flamme. Were created from their unique Bas terroir. Using Estate-grown cereal grain mash fermented in traditional ridged Column Stills and Finished in Bourbon barrels. Armed with their deep knowledge of Armagnac traditions and processes, Milhóc took a step into the unknown! Blending their experience with the unexpected to create this first Innovation! My Creative visited the region in South West France to collect and record inspiration to start the brand and packaging. The traditional processes and skills were plain to see amongst acer upon acer of graphically beautifully but strategically aligned vineyards. Chateau Laubade was already globally renowned for fantastic wine and brandy production, but not whisky. What stuck out was a few golden corn fields, later to be used to produce their spirit. In the middle of this cultivated landscape, patterned with Ridges and Furrows. This became an important story to tell through the branding. Aligning Milhóc to be unique and different in the market and surrounding area. A sort of black sheep, Innovationing with its tradition. - The Whisky Bottle: A bespoke mould modification with Wordmark and Monograph placement to the front and back faces. The iconic Ridge and Furrows run down both sides of the bottle to give a unique profile and nice grip when handling. But more importantly, when pouring! ;D This design is also represented in the Column Stills, linking up produce to production. - Print Specification: 2 foils have been letterpressed onto craft-style paper (Woodstock Betulla by Fedrigoni). In addition, a reverse print was applied to the back label to reflect the illustrated lines around the whisky bottle. Interacting with the Ridge and Furrows running down both sides - The Gift Box: 2 foils have been letterpressed onto thicker craft paper. The pattern of the fields runs around the full box, lining up with the height on the bottle label. - Monograph: When exploring the location in South West France. We recorded many unique details that inspired many elements of Milohoc Whisky. Nome more than the Monograph made up of the brand's letters in design layouts found in local stonemasons and gable ends of traditional buildings.

Illustrated postcards Isle Of Mull Soap Co. is run by local couple Stu & Sophie, and has been producing handmade cosmetics in Tobermory since 2008. The shop sits right in the middle of Tobermory's famous colourful Main Street. Its location was the major inspiration when they approached us for a rebrand. The old packaging used colourful bright patterns, but had no link to the location or sense of place.
- We wanted each product to hold a sense of its origin. Tobermory, where the brand is based, became a massive influence on the packaging rebrand, with the coloured houses and vibrant atmosphere. Illustrating over 100 locations and details found around the beautiful Isle of Mull. Abstracting the shapes and simplifying the colours into bold packaging statements. Each illustration is also part of a range of postcards for visitors to send or to be placed in order boxes and gift bags.
- This illustration system was continued for all the packaging designs like candles, diffuser & wax melts, lip balms and bath salts.

And this was a major factor when they approached us for a Rebrand. The current packaging was bright and colourful but had no link to the location or source of their inspiration. With over 100 fragrances, we decided to create individual illustrations that would depict details & landscapes of the island of Mull that had inspired the products.

Amimation Deisgn for Crochetree. Who sell high quality yarns, crochet supplies and patterns to enable customers to create Amigurumi through their doll patterns or personal projects. A business they have built up from a supportive online community. Where the brand and followers can engage in a caring and supportive way. Helping customer begin their journey or give advice on more technical problems. The products & creations people produce give great joy to the maker and help empower individuals to feel proud of what they have accomplished. Crochetree are very much part of this community and promote calmness & well-being through the power of crochet as a form of therapy.
My Creative really wanted to capture the sense of calm and enjoyment felt by each customer when they get into their crochet creation. With illustrator Fruzsina Fölföldi we depicted individuals "happy places". Stretched out on the sofa or commuting on the bus crocheting in bliss. With a combination of colours and a bespoke 'looped" typeface we were able to create a fun and characterful brand identity.

Electronic Glasgow QR code Poster from mycreative on Vimeo.
As night clubs remain closed over the Covid19 pandemic and old venue posters still hanging (dated March 2020) Now faded & peeling. Still depressingly advertising long ago canceled events. We looked to bring Glasgow back to life in some small part with a fresh gig using posters with no date promoting a party that could not be canceled, showcasing the best electronic live streams and recordings curated by Glasgow Electronic. The concept of the A1 poster and promotions were to quickly allow any passers by to take a photo of the oversized QR code, taking them direct to the livestream of the moment or a library of archived musical talent to pick from. The content will remain up until clubs begin to open and we can take stock. Electronic Glasgow A growing collective formed in 2018 to promote and celebrate the city's electronic music culture. With a wide range of world famous clubs and live venues, a strong history for breaking underground DJs and bands, as well as a long list of influential record labels. Glasgow has become a destination for a new type of international tourist. C19 was not going to stop them doing what they love. The identity was both simple and hard hitting. Representing an electronic On/Off setting or the digital pulse of the city in a pure form. It had to be clear from distance on a stage, still sharp when squeezed onto the footer of a flyer or eye catching as a social media profile.

We took great inspiration from the vibrant colours and the beautifully odd shapes of this variety of chilli. We wanted to help the client in their mission of celebrating the Scotch Bonnet. So a series of bold watercolour illustrations were created to communicate the taste explosion that you get with these jams. This became a signature peace of the packaging and throughout the brands identity. Deliverables include: Research + brand identity, logo design, copy, slogan, labels, packaging, illustration, print, promotional media, and shipping box

The kits are designed to allow travellers the enjoyment of a home cooked meal, on the road, without buying the full cupboard of supplies normally needed. Small quantities of each ingredient are intended to serve one or two people, won't take up too much space in your bag, and will fly by airport security.

Moja Spice Pattern Experiments from mycreative on Vimeo.
The creation or these unique patterns was also fun and playful. Sometimes we used the actual ingredient to express its contents. Pouring abstract lines of olive oil, playing with powdered paprika or making ink prints from whole spices like Black pepper or Cumin kernels and ink stamping cross sections of ginger or garlic to create different effects. Not everything made the cut, but a unique black and white mono illustration was assigned to each of the 8 spice in the savoury kit (Cumin, Coriander, Garlic Powder, Ginger, Cinnamon, Paprika, Black Pepper and Salt) This design style keeps the door open to add many new herbs and spices as well as other oils, marinades and sweeteners.

Highland Cinema from mycreative on Vimeo.
Highland Cinema was set to open its doors in May 2020. But in September after a wee bump in the road called "Covid"! A exciting addition to the Fort William's high street is now finally open. This modern, purpose-built filmhouse is styled on a traditional croft with iconic red iron roof.
This became the main inspiration for the logo, as we wanted to quickly turn the cinema into a strong local landmark that everyone would identify with. My Creative also brought this concept to life with a bit of motion, using film perforations to animate the corrugated iron roof. Adding to this with a series of animated point of sales icons that could be used throughout the cinemas promotions on and offline.
Deliverables included: Branding strategy, logo mark, Identity system, illustration, custom typeface, menu design, awning & canopy, print collateral, exterior signage, merchandise & packaging design.
