I know this blog is currently on Hiatus, but I just discovered your blog and wanted to express my gratitude! I am so happy to see a We Bare Bears imagines blog! I really appreciate you writers for making this blog, thank you!

Wow, this was unexpected and really, seriously appreciated. I’m serious, thank you anon, for sending this, it means a lot to me and my co-admin/friend. Knowing that there are people who are interested in this blog feels so good you don’t even know. We’ll come back to this blog in the future, don’t worry. When that will be is uncertain, but believe me, we love answering asks, even if there are some from months ago that have yet to be answered, but we haven’t forgotten about them. (There’s a certain “Weirdmageddon” ask that comes to mind...)But again, thank you, so much for this. It means a lot to us to see messages like this one.

Hello there! Mod trash-bag here! As you all know, this blog has been inactive for a long period of time now, and yes, we do feel guilty about the lack of posting. We haven’t given you a proper reason why, and I apologize. To keep it short, Nebulous and I have been busy with other matters outside of Tumblr. Life has been a hassle, and we sadly do not have the time to post imagines and such. So for the time being, this blog will be on •hiatus• We will return, so do not fret. Either in the late fall, or sometime sooner. There may be the occasional post during the Hiatus, but that would be it. I apologize if we have disappointed you, but we will come back!

Do I was listening to Hamilton and thought of a scenario, how will the bears react when they discover that one of their brothers also has a crush on their crush? (The song was satisfied by Hamilton just in case if you need a bit of help understanding the scene) As a side note, your blog is absolutely the cutest and I wish you the best💕

disclaimer: these bears are sort of mean to one another but if you saw how they get greedy and such in certain episodes, i think this could apply to them. take video date for example. correct me if im wrong though.

Grizz:

“Wait…you…You like them too?”

He’s not exactly sure of how to react to his situation. As selfish as it may be, he wants them to back off, since well…The eldest get the first pickings..

“Bahaha! I’m sorry lil’ bro, but I think I deserve them more. I am the oldest brother, ‘member?” Watching them flinch at his rather harsh words, guilt flashes in his eyes, but he doesn’t take back what he says. He meant what he said, and nothing would change it.

He gets more competitive, up to the point where it’s almost cruel. Ruining the moments between Ice Bear/Panda and the crush, he smiles a rapacious smile, and it grows eve more seeing his brother glare at him. He’s not going down easily, who do you think he is? He is a grizzly bear after all. Setting up harmless traps to make his brother a fool of himself, and even feeding small lies to his crush about his brother. They’re not cruel or mean-spirited, just goofy, weird lies. Such as Panda still wets the bed, or Ice Bear likes boogers in his salads. Even being competitive and a jealous bear, he makes sure he doesn’t hurt his brother’s feelings. He might though, but not enough to see them shed tears, or beat Grizz up. 

However, if it’s Panda who likes the same person, he’ll go slightly easier. He’ll back off if Panda is fed up with him, but only slightly. But, if Panda gets competitive as well, Grizz feels proud for his smaller brother, glad he can stand up for himself…but that doesn’t mean he’d say it. He’s a prideful bear. 

“What are you doing, little brother? Don’t you know I do everything for you? I think you should let me have them. After all, I’m just saving you from future heartbreak. I’d hate to see you get hurt.”

But hoo boy, if it’s Ice Bear who likes them as well? Prepare for a battle to the death. Grizz’s schemes and traps become more malevolent, but not enough to hurt Ice Bear too bad. Being the eldest sibling, he knows Ice Bear’s limitations, especially his ticks, and man oh man does he use it to his advantage. Knowing Ice Bear doesn’t go down without a fight makes this whole crush thing a whole lot more fun. 

“What’s wrong, bro? I hope you’re not giving up now. Even if I was a blue bear, that wouldn’t stop me from seeing them. Awww, don’t look so blue, I’m just helping you. …Blue bro, put the axe down. ….On purpose? I would never! It was merely an accident!”

Panda:

“…I didn’t know you liked them. It’s a small world after all, isn’t it?”

He sort of torn, really. 

He wants to tell them to back off from their crush, but he can’t find the courage words to do it. He never liked to be a mean or an arrogant brother, but with the way his stomach is tied in knots, he sort of wants to. He really likes this person, perhaps a little too much, and he definitely doesn’t want his brothers to snatch them away from his grasp. They’re better at him at most things, and he doesn’t want them to take this person as well. He doesn’t want them to unknowingly rub their relationship in his face. It just wouldn’t be fair.  

So…He fights back, but in his way. He doesn’t fight them, he doesn’t spread lies, instead, he uses his Baby Factor against his brothers. After all, he is one of their top priorities, he just needs to let them know who’s more important. Even if it means twisting the truth. It’s not lying if no one knows the truth, he’d say.

If it’s Grizz he’s up against, he’ll pout and perhaps fake a cry to guilt his older brother. From giving him the cold shoulder, or straight up tell him he doesn’t like what he’s doing, he’ll do everything in his power to let Grizz lower his competitive barrier, to see how broken Panda is. Smiling while he cries, or feeling no apathy when he tells Grizz how sad he is seeing him get closer with the love of his life, his brothers don’t know who they’re babying.

Forcefully cracking his voice when he admits himself to Grizz, he watches Grizz baby him, and he snickers. He’s a step closer, and he wants to be a step closer to his crush’s heart, even if it means tainting with Grizz and his loyalty.

“Grizz, you’re good at everything you do, especially winning their heart. Me…? I’m good at nothing I do, but getting them to like me is what I can do. I know I cant stop you…But I want you to know how fighting over them is hurting me. I…I love you Grizz, and you can get anyone you want, but I can’t. I can’t, I can’t, I can’t, I-I just can’t.” Crying, he feels Grizz’s arms wrap around him, along with words of reassurance and guilt, and he can’t help but smile to himself, but he needs to make sure he gets the message. 

“I just want to let you know…Taking them away from me? You’re taking away my one and only, and I hope you can live with the guilt, Grizz, because trust me, I know someone like you will break down with regret. You’re so gullible and easy to manipulate, and frankly it made this task much more easier.” Watching his older brother widen his eyes, and ask why he would say such a thing, he smirks. “Why would I say this? Because if you tell them…They won’t ever believe you. After all, I’m just a little small baby who needs to be watched over. Why would someone as cute as me say something like that? That’s right, I wouldn’t. I love you too much to hurt you.”

However, if it’s Ice Bear, it’s certainly harder. Ice Bear is much more intelligent, observant, and knows what’s bullshit and what isn’t. He doesn’t believe someone blindly just because they’re family, unlike someone else…Anyway, he knows he’s sort of a weakness in Ice Bear, and if he gets hurt, emotionally or physically, he knows Ice Bear is out for blood. But…would Ice Bear go after his own blood? Would he sacrifice his own feelings for his older brother? You’d be surprised.

Panda knows how stealthy Ice Bear can be, and he uses this feature to his advantage. Fake crying to himself when Ice Bear is in the room, he lets Ice Bear console him, and tell him what Ice Bear is doing to him. Telling him how he feels, and how much he looks up to his younger brother, he watches Ice Bear. He watches the conflicting look in the polar bear’s eyes, and if letting his crush go to let Panda be happy would be worth it. 

“…Ice Bear wants you to know this. Younger brother would give up a lot for you, if it makes you happy.”

“Good. Let’s keep it that way. Now, just hand them over to me. You want me happy, don’t you?”

“…Yes.”

“Thanks little brother, I knew I could always count on you.”

Ice Bear:

“…Ice Bear wants you to reconsider liking them.”

This little egotistical, narcissistic polar bear won’t hesitate to put up a fight for someone he truly cares for. Especially if it means fighting over that special person.  He believes he has every quality someone would look for in a significant other, so why settle for someone lower than him?

He knows actions speak louder than words, so this is where actions take a big part in this competition to beat his brothers into the ground to reach his honey. Still, dangerous as this bear can be, he definitely still cares for his brothers, and knows limitations exist.

For Panda, he’s certainly goes easier. It may be his view of Panda as a small cub who needs attention and the ultimate care, but he can’t ever imagine himself hurting Panda, unintentionally or not. That’s just…cruel. Still, greed can change someone’s actions and viewpoints, and if it means tripping Panda or giving him a cold glare when Panda gets a little too close to their crush, he won’t hesitate.

However, if Panda cries once or tells him how he really feels, Ice Bear is torn between giving up this person for Panda, or just let him know how cruel life can be. He can’t bear himself to choose the latter. So, sighing quietly, he’ll try his best to detach himself from this person, all for the sake for Panda.

“…Ice Bear wants to let you know this. Younger brother would give up a lot for you, if it makes you happy.”

But…If it’s Grizz we’re talking about here, Ice Bear will not stutter. He doesn’t care if Grizz wants them as bad as Ice Bear does, he doesn’t care at all. Just because he’s the eldest doesn’t mean he’ll kiss his feet. He’d rather die. 

“All’s fair in love and war.”

Serving him food he knows Grizz can’t handle, flipping him over to answer the door to see them first, he’ll do whatever he can to make this game harder for Grizz, in hopes to see him give up. That’d be the best day of his life. 

“Ice Bear hopes you give up. Otherwise this game is going to be harder than you thought.”

The bears s/o found the jacket(you know the one) and have it to them as a give. Reactions?

Grizz:

“I found this jacket alone at the park…and I couldn’t help myself. It reminded me of your goofy self.”

No, no, no! That can’t possibly be the jacket that almost tore the bear family apart! Smiling nervously, he’ll delicately accept the offer, and inspect the jean jacket. Ashamedly, he’ll fawn over the tiger print, admiring it’s coolness and the feel of it. Perhaps…maybe one time wouldn’t hurt…

“This is a really cool jacket, babe! But I think it’d be better if we burned it, don't ya think? …What do you mean that’s barbaric? What does barbaric even mean??”

Despite your outbursts and opposition of him wanting to burn the cursed jacket, he needs to do it! He needs to help all the other bros and their bros, and if nobody will burn it’s evil roots, who will? Yeah, no one. Who would tamper with such a jacket?

Watching the jacket turn to ashes, he holds back a sniffle. He totally should have worn that one last time. Imagine all the high fives he coulda got.

Panda:“I saw this cool jacket hanging from a tree branch, and oh man it’s so cool! For some reason, I thought it belonged to you before. Weird, right?”

His eyes are as wide as saucers. He thought the jacket was gone for good! Agh, he needs to hide it, he can’t possibly let his brothers see this… Sighing, he’ll take it with a grain of salt, trying his very hardest to resist the coolness radiating off the jacket. He very much wants to wear it, but the other voice tells him not to. Does he remember the torture it brought?? Does he want to relive that again?? Is it worth it...?

Looking down at the jacket in his hands, his smile grows.

“A little jacket never hurt anybody, right? …Of course that’s the original saying, don’t you know your sayings??”

Wearing it once wouldn’t hurt. He knows it won't. Just…wear it one time…or maybe more..

“Bro, we know the cursed jacket is changing you, and we just wanna help.”

“Ice Bear fears Panda is changing. Ice Bear will punish Panda after this. Didn’t even bother to let little brother wear it.”

“No! This is me!! It’s apart of me, and you can’t change me! If you love me you’ll let me keep it!”

“Ice Bear will ensue punishment. Grizz, ready the pork.”

“Noo!!”

Ice Bear:

“This jacket was on the ground in the street, and after some washing, it’s brand new! I don’t know, but I thought it’d look so cool on you! A polar bear wearing a jean jacket, doesn’t that sound badass?”

His eyes light up with quiet anger and guilt. Grabbing the jacket from your grip, he chucks it in a garbage bag, and goes to the backyard. Trust him, this isn’t the first time he’s done this type of thing.

Ignoring your questioning and concerns, he buries it far deep within the Earth, not stopping once to think of that jacket.

…Well maybe he did once, but that doesn’t count!

“Hun. Ice Bear needed to do what he needed to do. Jacket is evil. Jacket is gone now.”

“Evil, whaddya mean ev–”

“You’re welcome, Ice Bear saved the day. …Thank the Great Ice Bear.”

“What? Wait, why was the jacket bad? What did it d–”

“You’re welcome.”

Bears reaction to their smol s/o being followed by an creepy? individual [love obsession / infatuation]

Grizz:

“G-grizz…There’s this person that keeps following me. And…I’m scared.”

Blinking a few times, he can’t help but chuckle softly, thinking that what you’re telling him is nonsensical and that you have to be joking. I mean…These type of situations only happen in those movies Panda watches late in the evening, clutching a stuffed animal dearly. You were merely joking around, weren’t you…?

However, the way you’re a little shaky, not to mention how labored and uneven your breathing is, he takes a double take. You weren’t joking at all, were you? Listening to you, he comes up with a plan of his own, which includes a cold polar bear and a panda bear that could console Grizz’s s/o while the two bears take care of some business.

Learning that this…person has this sickly infatuation with you, makes him the more determined to shut this person down from following you any longer. Even imagining this happening to him sends chills down his spine.

“Why didn’t you tell me before?”

“…I was scared they would listen.”

Even when Grizz does shut the person down, he’s still eerie and cautious whenever the two of you are out in the Bay Area. However, his suspicion does go down, and he can go back to enjoying each other’s presence.

Panda:

It happened during a calming evening. You and Panda were lounging around in his room, watching some anime, and munching on some popcorn. The anime the two of you were watching was based on someone who loved someone else up to the point it became an unhealthy, creepy obsession. Watching the protagonist scared and afraid to tell anyone, you can’t help but let your mind wander, wander back to the person who…who has this infatuation with you.

“Uhhh, is everything alright, babe?”

Noticing your shallow, strained breathing, he pauses the anime, and rubs your back comfortingly. Letting you calm down, you struggle to speak. 

“I didn’t want to burden you with this, but… Someone has been following me lately– stalking, even. I’ve been trying to ignore them b-but..I..I’m so scared, Panda.”

Listening to you wholeheartedly, he brings you some comfort food, and tries to calm you down into a sleepless slumber. When asleep, he tells his brothers and all three come up with a plan. A plan to capture this disgusting person. 

Until then, he gets scared for you, and doesn’t hesitate to question anyone who looks at you for one second too long. He knows what they look like thanks to you, but he can’t help but get…weary.

Still, when it’s finished, and the individual is stopped, he’s still nervous for his s/o and himself, but it’s fine, as the anxiety dies down.

Ice Bear:

The two of you were on date to the town’s local ice stadium, enjoying the date and most importantly each other. Ice Bear was happy you shared this interest with them, and for you, you were happy you could get your mind off of them– The one who has been following you non stop for weeks. You wanted to tell Ice Bear, but you were nervous if Ice Bear would get into trouble as well. Who know what that person was capable of.

Twisting and turning, you catch a glimpse of them, and your whole world falls out of balance. Inhaling sharply, you lose balance and tumble to the ground, landing hard on your lower back. Ice Bear rushes to your side, and asks if you’re okay and what was wrong.

“I..I saw them.”

“Who is ‘them?’“

Regaining your balance, you look at where they were, and alas, they disappeared into thin air. Chills go up your spine as you turn to the concerned polar bear. “It…It was no one. I thought I saw someone I knew, but I guess it was nothing.” Taking you home, he observes how tense you are,or how paranoid you seem, and how you flinch at the slightest noise. He doesn’t believe your buffoonery. He decides to interrogate you when the two of you reach the cave.

When you do, you know there’s no way of lying to this polar bear. It’s as if he knows exactly what you’re thinking and what you’re going to say, it’s as if he’s always two steps ahead of you– and you hate it. “Ice Bear wants you to spill the beans. Now, spill.”

“Fine…There was someone there at the ice stadium, someone who I knew– well, more like they knew me. They…They have been stalking me non-stop for weeks, and I wanted to tell you, I really do! I just…I’m afraid they’ll hurt you.” Looking at you long and hard, he pieces your words together, observing your body language–everything. How did he not see this person? How did he not notice your spike in scared body nature? “…Ice Bear needs proof.”

And when he gets proof, hoo boy, does it get him riled up. It doesn’t matter what time it is, or if it’s really late, he’ll go down to the ends of the Earth, to find that sickly person and bring you justice. Meanwhile, he watches over you closely, commanding you to spend as many nights as you want at the cave. He can’t afford to lose you, or leave you scared and anxious for that matter.

When this fiasco is over, he’s still portrays as a momma bear, and protective over you, in fact more so after this. He just wants you to be safe, darling.

How would Nom Nom react to an S/o that is a musical actor?

He’s lowkey jealous, dude.

Like really jealous, although it’s sort of a quiet, sparkling fire in his stomach.

Like wow, you can do so much from a script, and make it come together and so alive, it blows him away. All he gets to do is make cute faces and poses, and you– you get to do so many things!!

Watching you perform on stage with such passion and love that could be mistaken as fury, he can’t help but sigh in adoration. He wished he loved what he does as much as you do. Snapping pictures and recordings he saves for himself, he smiles like a dork, ignoring the questionable looks on his guardsman’s faces.

Yes, he may cold to you at times, and he may not be the most affectionate lover out there, but he really finds you what do amazing. Wonderful. Pleasing to the eye. Something he’d never get tired of.

Although…That doesn’t mean he gets very, highkey jealous and envious of the crew that gets to work with you. Whether they’re in a romantic or platonic relationship with your character, he won’t hesitate to go behind stage and give them the good ol’ screech. Besides that, he doesn’t really enjoy how much time they get to spend with you, and how they get to see and know another side of you Nom Nom can’t even fathom of. With limited time the two of you get to share, he can get grouchy after a rehearsal.

Speaking of grouchy, he gets angry whenever you’re in a play and you get…touchy feely with another actor. Yes, it’s entirely fictional, and yes, he knows you are his, but still !! He shoots daggers at the actor, man or woman he doesn’t care, he’ll shoot real daggers when the musical is finished.

When the musical is done, and he when he gets to see you and your face, he almost runs into your arms. Almost.

Playing it cool, he’ll crawl into your arms, and give you small kisses all over your sweaty face, letting praises and teasings fall out of his mouth. He doesn’t care whoever sees him, all he cares about is what you did!! You were so amazing, do it again!

All in all, he’s a vv proud marsupial. Prepare for flower petals and chocolate when you get home. Not to mention rare cuddling from the koala.

“Huh? Do I really deserve this? What I do is nothing compared to what you do…”

*cue to angery koala eating a rose petal*

“…What? You deserve this, babe. Now come here and cuddle me this instant!”

One more I'm so sorry I was actually afraid of asking because it may also be controversial Ice bear getting jealous and protective over chloe due to a situation (?)

We’re in the middle of reading all these asks, don’t you worry, we see all of them and have never deleted any. It’s just that some take more time than others. Sudzee is awesome at writing the fluff and angst stuff. I am not worthy But I’m having a little trouble understanding this ask. I want to try to follow what it says because it sounds like it’s really interesting, what with protective Ice Bear and all, but what does a “situation” refer to exactly? Send us another ask if you please and we’ll start coming up with something, that sound good?

I actually adored the newest ask. The most wonderful thing about this blog is that all of it seems like it could happen. The little stories inserted are personal and relatable. I even obliviously read the quotes in the respective voices. That's how genuinely legit they sound. Keep going! I'm super excited for what's to come. It's actually super entertaining. The long posts are life. This blog is love. This blog is life.

170 Followers! That’s awesome. Sudzee and I were freaking out over having 80 followers and now!? We got more than DOUBLE that. I just wanna thank you guys for hopping aboard. How would the bears react if their s/o had a mental disorder, such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression?

Ohhh boy, I had a lot of fun with this one. Warning you guys, it’s very very long, so get ready for this. One more warning. It’s REAAALLLY long, so get ready.

Grizz regardingADHD:“Man, you sure know how to run a conversation! AndI thought I could talk!”

If his partner hadADHD, he wouldn’t understand that it’s a problem at first. Thisperson would apologize for constantly changing the topics they weretalking about, explaining that they have trouble focusing on anythingfor a certain period of time. Grizz would be totally fine with that,he himself is a hyperactive talker who could speak about anythingbeneath the sun until that very same sun went down and came back upagain. Again, he means well, but he’s missing the point, and hedoesn’t fully grasp what his partner has to deal with.Overtime, he would notice his partner taking pills to mellow themselvesout. And over time, his partner would explain to him how much troublethis disorder has been for them. Their whole life they’ve struggledto focus in class, to retain information, to remember chores, to payattention to anyone for more than two minutes in a conversation, andto be a responsible person for their family, only to be criticized bytheir friends and family, and themselves, over and over again. Theywere ashamed of what they considered to be a weakness, of somethingthat made them broken compared to other people.  

It absolutelycrushed Grizz to hear his S/O say something so harsh aboutthemselves. And because this all sounds like something that Grizz hashad dealt with in his own life before, he sympathized deeply withtheir struggle. Grizz comforted them. He told them that they’re notbroken. That it’s okay not to be focused on one thing all the time.“You know, I can’tfocus on something for too long too. Like,one minute I’m watchingsomething on TV, and then the next minute I’m chasing butterflies outsidethe cave. Or I’m supposed to be talking to Panda about something, but then I stuffmy face with food and I forget what we were talking about. Thatdoesn’t mean that I’m broken or anything. I’m still the same‘ol grizzly bear that people know and love! My brothers still loveme, and I still love me, and I know that your friends and familystill love you. How could they not?Because… Y’know…I still love you.”His reassurance strengthened them.Their heart lifted up and they felt like they could take on theworld. so long as they had the strength of a grizzly bear on theirside. Plus, it helped thathe found their hyperactive mind endearing. It made them feel special.In a good way.Grizz regarding Anxiety:“Youalright, babe? You look a little pale. You need some water? A seat?Cinnamon bun?”

Grizz is a prettystraightforward guy. He’d notice when his partner is feelingstressed in any way, so he would try to get to the bottom of it inhis own overbearing way. (Puns)Despite knowing he meantwell, his S/O became overwhelmed by his attention and pulled away, rushing towards theopposite direction and into a bathroom. Grizz followed them inside,(regardless of whatever gender his S/O is because his care for othersgoes far beyond than common sense. Imagine seeing a grizzly bear standing outside a stall. What would you do in that situation?) and he asked them what’s wrong.

His S/O tells himabout their anxiety, that they take medication for it but that thistime they decided not to. Ever since they got into a relationshipwith him they haven’t had as many panic attacks, or felt atightness in their chest whenever they needed to go outside for aninterview or go shopping for clothes. They had been sleeping betterand everything. But it seemed that today wasn’t a very kind one. Allthose people in one place just set them off unexpectedly.

Grizz opens thestall his S/O is hiding in and asks them what they should do.His disappointment when he hears them say that they wish to go backto the cave and away from the mall is clear on his face, and his S/Ofeels furiously guilty for ruining the day. But Grizz is quick torectify his mistake and let them know that no matter where they go,he’ll have fun just so long as they stay together. Astime passes, he tries to help them overcome their anxiety. They goout to more public places, places that are crowded, fast paced areas,etc. He also decides to sleep at their place below the futon theyown. His presence helps them relax, even though he snores like ahurricane. The whole time he never lets go of their hand.

They walk through acarnival, dodging patrons left and right. “Just let me know if youfeel any worse for wear. The minute you feel nervous or anything, weare outta here, you got me?” He sends them a confident smile, andit makes them feel brave.

Grizz regarding Depression:“Aw babe… I’m sorry you feel this way.Is there any way I can cheer you up?”

He feels awful aboutthis. He loves this person dearly, and not being able to pull themout of a deep sadness just kills him. His brotherly instincts makehim feel like he’s somehow responsible for this. Seeing them, lyingon their bed, barely moving a muscle, just staring up at the ceilingwith the blinds drawn, brings him close to despair, and also a senseof profound purpose. That it’s up to him to revitalize his S/O.

Let’s not lie toourselves. Grizz is a loving, kindhearted individual. He means well.But that doesn’t mean his actions are always going tobe correct. He’ll try things to pull this person out oftheir comfort zone. He’ll say things that may come off asinsensitive to their plight.“Aw, don’t be sad. Gimmea smile, babe. Smiling always cheers me up. Come on, boo. You’renot even trying…  Huh? I… No, I’m not… I’m not trying to…to say your pain is stupid, I just… I want you to be happy. Imean…”

Poor Grizz wouldn’tknow what to do. It would take some serious compromising andcommunication to understand what was happening. He’s such a happybear by nature, at least outwardly, so it’d be hard for him torelate to someone who can’t seem to get back up on their own.

So Grizz decides totake a step back. But the thing about Grizz is that he never gives upon people. So he instead tries a different method of approach. Hegoes to Panda, Ice Bear, and Chloe for help. They do research, andwith (mostly Chloe’s) assistance, he finds the perfect methods hecan use to help his beloved. “Hiya babe. It’sme. Your dumb Grizzly bear. Heh… And now he knows how much of adumb grizzly bear he really is, eheh… Uh… Listen, I don’t want toforce you to do anything. Whenever you’re ready to talk, or if youjust need my shoulder to cry on, I’m here for you. Because…”His voice cracks, and he curses at himself for his inability to staystrong. He breathes in deep, and continues. “Because I care aboutyou. And no matter what happens, I will always care about you.” Andhe means it. It’s evident in his voice. He knew that there was noone in the world who was as sincere as him at that moment.

And his S/O believesit too. With his help, unwavering and full of love, they get throughsome hard times together. And one day, when Grizz is pressed againstthe wall or beaten down by life, his S/O will be strong enough tohelp him too, thanks to the strength he loaned them a lifetime ago.

Grizzoverall:He’ll need help understanding these things. Hedeals with his own demons in a completely different way than mostpeople, which is what makes him appear so over-the-top and zany. Hemay not understand at first, and he may even cause some issues andappear to his S/O as insensitive or unsympathetic, but he means well,and he’ll do whatever it takes to make them feel better, and if itmeans educating himself more on these subjects, he’ll do it. Hemight not have the best fashion sense or hygienic habits, but he’sa real prince charming (for a grizzly bear that could crush skullswith his jaws at least).“I’m your big strong grizzly bear. Ain’t nothin’ coming between me and you!”Panda regardingADHD:“Haha! Yeah, Iknow, right!? But, uh… You were mentioning your favorite part aboutthat show just now and you forgot to say what it was.” Panda loves spendingtime with his S/O, especially because they’re the one who talksmost of all. Panda listens, and Panda loves to listen. He wants to beapart of their life and be happy with them. So if his partner is afast energetic talker, he’s all ears. After he asks thatquestion however, he worries he did something bad. He notices the waytheir mouth twitched and their eyebrows shift down and the light intheir eyes dim a little. He asks what’s wrong, and apologizes whenhis partner tells him it’s nothing special, really. His partner thengives him the explanation, that they’ve had ADHD since they werelittle and the struggle they’ve had their whole life because of it.Panda begins torecall the other times when he noticed his partner was affected byADHD. For example: They would sometimes take onlinesurveys together which asked questions about their relationship, onlyfor his S/O to seemingly get bored and start talking about somethingelse. Or whenever they went out for food and they would talkand talk and never be ready by the time the waitress came aroundbecause they were too busy talking to look at the menu. Orthose times they were watching an online stream of a movie orsomething else and they talked throughout the whole thing, neverreally focusing on the screen.Panda never mindsthis type of behavior. He thinks it’s cute. But the sight of hispartner holding in a deep rooted shame for something they can’tcontrol tears him up inside, and he even starts to feel guilty forbringing it up, even if it was by accident. There’s a momentor two of silence and he quickly pulls out his phone to see ifthere’s something he could say to make them feel better. He finds abunch of articles of people who struggled with ADHD and how theyovercame it. He quickly turns the screen and excitedly tells themthat they’re not alone, and that there’s nothing to be ashamedof. His S/O has alreadyread through most of those pages, but they appreciate how quick Pandawas to try and make them feel better. They know not to feelembarrassed around Panda now. He’ll always accept them no matterwhat quirks they may have. (Unless if you’re an arsonist. Somethingabout setting random stuff on fire doesn’t sit well with him)

Panda regarding Anxiety:

“Oh, man, I knowwhat that’s like! Finally, someone understands!”

He’s struggledwith anxiety his whole life. And how couldn’t he when everyone wasbigger, meaner, and stronger than he was? Not to mention all theallergies he has, the dangers lurking in every corner when he was acub, etc. It was hard not to have anxiety! Grizz and Ice were hisshield growing up and, unfortunately, he couldn’t hide behind themforever.

So he took smallsteps to handle his anxiety better. He would breathe in and out whenhe felt a vice in his chest before going up to a girl to ask them outon a date (Or in his case, completely chicken out and just ask thecute cashier he “would like a veggie burger to go, please.”) Orhe’d go outside more with his brothers to big places and talked tostrangers they met, and soon it wasn’t as bad as it used to be.

But Panda still hadproblems with doing things outside of his comfort zone. So he pulledback into the world of social media, where he could do anything hewanted without the fear of embarrassing himself in front of others.

It’s still hardfor him sometimes. Going out and asking for things he needs. He’lleven avoid getting help from a guy at a clothes store for some pantshe needs because he’s nervous about making himself look like afool.

So when his partnertells him how difficult it is to do things like asking a hot dogvendor for food, how they worry about every and any little thing thatcould go wrong, Panda feels a stronger connection to this person.Finally, someone understands!

Because his anxietyis not as acute as it used to be, he’s the one who ends up askingfor things from strangers, he’s the one who covers them fromdanger. (And danger meaning an angry store clerk yelling at them dueto annoyance. “You do NOT talk to them that way, if you wantsomeone to speak up, tell ME to speak up)For once, he’sthe protective one in the relationship. It makes him feel like a bigman.

His S/O is happy tonot be alone with these feelings anymore. It was romantic, being ableto run away from all their troubles together.

Panda regardingdepression:He’s nervous whenthey seem angry at him for his unexpected arrival.

“Hey, youwanna watch a movie or something together? … No? Well… How abouta board game? I’ll even let you beat me at monopoly again, youcapitalist scum, heheh… Uhm…” He knows something’s wrong. Theroom is dark, there’s trash everywhere, and when he walked in withthe key they gave him, he noticed them just… staring up at theceiling, not doing anything. Not listening to anything even.

The air in that oneroom apartment was stale. It was clear they hadn’t opened theirwindow for a good amount of time. Maybe a week. Maybe two.

He’s not used tothis. Usually it’s other people who try to make him feel better. Hehas virtually no experience with being the comforter to someone else.He hates himself for being useless.

He’ll trip oversome discarded soda cans and other pieces of trash thrown around theroom, trying to reach their bed. He’ll sit next to them, justtalking about anything and everything to fill the silence. He worrieswhen they say that they haven’t eaten since yesterday and thatthey’re still not hungry. Panda then offers to order themselvespizza, a whole meat pie for them even. He doesn’t care about eatingso long as they eat something.

His S/O angrily getsup and starts throwing stuff away. Panda’s shaking now, not knowingwhat he did wrong.

“Was it me comingover unexpectedly? I-I’m sorry… I mean, I- I thought you saidthat… that it was o-okay to do that.”

His partner sighs,admitting that he’s right. They just didn’t want Panda to seethem like this. They apologize for their behavior, and explain what’sbeen going on in their life. And Panda listens, for about an hour,his S/O unloads on him everything they’ve been dealing with for awhile now. And Panda is speechless.

He suddenly rushesup to them, hugs them tight and tearfully tells them that they aren’talone even though they think they are.

His S/O isdumbfounded, and then they can’t help but laugh. Of all things,they didn’t think that they could cry anymore, but this overemotional bear got them going again. But it’s not all bitternessand depression. They’re happy too. Happy that someone cares so muchthat they’re willing to shed tears for them. Panda, of course,freaks out again but is silenced when the S/O kisses them full on thelips. Luckily they binged on tic tacs so it didn’t spoil the momentbetween them.

They ask Panda ifthey could order a half and half pizza like they normally do, andPanda obliges. They clean the room, open the blinds and the window,and dust a little inside. They both go to the corner store to buysome incense to freshen the smell of the apartment and manage to getback before the pizza guy arrives. He’s thrilled to have his S/Oback to normal again.

There are timeswhere his S/O gets like this again, but Panda is always ready tohelp. He’s armed with the internet of course, so he always receivesideas on how to lighten the situation from his phone. Just being asupport for someone is all you can do for them. He just has topersuade them to get up with love and affection. And he turns out tobe really good at it.

Panda overall:

He’s a good guy. Alittle inexperienced with the world and people themselves, but veryempathetic. He’s an emotional guy, and unlike so many people whobecome frustrated for having their good nature taken advantage of,Panda never became bitter and angry at everything. He stayed the samesweet bear his brothers know and love. Sure, he doesn’t bulldozethrough everything and take control, leaving you to take the reins,but when it truly matters he’s ready to pull you out of a darkplace with what strength he has. And while he doesn’t think he is,Panda is getting stronger from every hard time he has with hispartner. And they get stronger too.“I know how hard it can be sometimes. I go through a lot of what you go through. Well.. Maybe not all of it. But still! I’m here for you, no matter what, I promise!”

Ice Bear regardingADHD:“Ice Bear thinks you should avoid drinkingcoffee.”

Despite alwaysholding a neutral expression and tone, Ice Bear can be quite thejoker. (“Ice Bear sees three Charlies“ he said,staring at the massive cryptid towering above him and his brothers.)(“Ice Bear won’t judge,” he paused, staring at the tall bigfoottenderly holding his brother in shock. “Out loud.”)Hemakes light of how hyperactive his S/O seems to be, and his S/Olaughs at his joke, having already acquainted themselves with his dryhumor.

They then tell himthey have ADHD rather offhandedly. Ice Bear knows this to be trueinstantly; He had his suspicions about it. His partner could neverremember all the little details of cooking the right way, like howmuch salt to put into the pot, or how many onions, or this and that.Sometimes he’d notice their eyes shifting from one place toanother, greedily taking in every detail that catches their interest.

“Ice Bearunderstands.”

And yeah, he prettymuch does. He’s a reader, after all. He also senses theirdiscomfort at admitting it, although it isn’t obvious. He’simpressed by how well they can cover their discomfort, and it leaveshim confused as well. Why should they feel the need to cover it up?It’s nothing to be ashamed of.“Ice Bear thinks youcover it up well.”

His S/O ispleasantly surprised when they hear this, and thank him for it. Theyfeel a little better about themselves and Ice Bear is pleased to havefixed their mood. He drinks a vanilla milkshake while his S/O has aniced coffee, decaf, all while gazing into each others eyes for a fewmoments. Ice Bear glances away, his white snout turning red. His S/Ogiggles and gives him a light kick.

Ice Bear regardinganxiety:

“Deep breaths.One, two. One… two…”

He loves protectingothers. He isn’t a good talker, and he doesn’t consider himselfto be all that caring. He knows that he’s cold by nature, so IceBear is a suitable name for him. And yet…

“Ice Bear willmake tea. Chamomile. For anxiety… Also digestion.”

He knows he isn’tthe warmest of bears. Not the friendliest of people.

“Ice Bear will behere all night.” He takes their hand as he says this.

When someone says hito him he has a hard time putting on a smile. Emotions don’t cometo him as easily as they do to other people.

“Ice Bear willmake dinner, if S/O is hungry.” Watching his partner take a sip oftea, sighing low and relaxing their shoulders, Ice Bear’s backloses its tension. He sits next to them, snuggling into the couch.His body tenses up again when he feels warm wet lips press againsthis snout. He turns his head and sees his partner smiling up at him.And then he glances away. He hopes his face isn’t red.

And yet, there arefew people in the world who knew the way to his hidden heart.Underneath all those layers of aloofness and borderline apathy, laysomeone who almost never left his prison of ice. Any warmth wouldmelt the walls and leave him drowning, at least, that’s what IceBear believed unconsciously.

He was quite warmfor a cold guy. And he was quite emotional for an emotionally stuntedguy, he supposed. Ice Bear regardingDepression:

“Ice Bear is herefor you.”

He sees the messthey’re in, and he knows what needs to be done. He scoops them upin his arms and carries them bridal style to the couch, ignoringtheir protests.

He lays them on thecouch and leaps into action, literally. Doing a back-flip, he landsin the middle of the room, then swipes up trash from the floor andstuffing it in a bag, with no explanation as to how the bag ended upin his paw.

“Ice Bear ismagic.” He says to them when asked how he pulled that bag out fromnowhere.

When told to stop,Ice Bear doesn’t listen. He deftly dances around the piles ofclothes and scoops them into piles in his arms, clearing up thefloor. “Ice Bear willfree up space.”And he does. Inalmost no time at all the room is spotless. They can practically seetheir reflections in the floor. Ice Bear was like magic. But Ice Bear is at aloss. He just cleaned the room and yet his partner started crying.Did they want it to stay dirty? No, that’s crazy. Throughout thewhole thing, Ice Bear could see how entertained they were at hisdisplay. His somersaults over piles of clothes, his cartwheels, hisoccasional crash against the bed frame and walls kept his partnerenthralled. He even did a little bow at the end and they clapped forhim. Why did they devolveinto tears? His S/O tells themhow guilty they feel for making Ice Bear clean up their mess. “Ice Bear likes tohelp.”But they shake theirhead, calling themselves useless and stupid for allowing theirapartment to get like this and for allowing someone else to clean itfor them. Ice Bear doesn’tknow what to do. So he shakes his head and leaves the apartment. HisS/O sits down on their now clear bed, and thinks about what happened.After a while their emotions aren’t running as high and they regainthe ability to think rationally. They feel foolish for this.Extremely foolish. There went the best thing that ever happened tothem. They refuse to lose that. So they get dressed, andwhen they throw open the door they are greeted by that tall whitebear who was just about to walk inside, holding a bag of Chinesefood. “Ice Bear boughtyou General Tso.” He presents the bag to them, and they leap ontohis chest, making him nearly spill the contents of his bag. Heremembered how much they adore that Chinese place down the street. They eat dinnertogether, and Ice Bear asks them to speak. They both know what hemeans by that. They don’t want to dump all their problems on him,but they no that look in his eye. Pushing him away would be liketrying to push a glacier. So his S/O talks. And Ice Bear listens. And Ice Bear givesall the support he can

Ice Bear overall:He’s not veryvocal. He shows his affection through actions. He’s intriguingenough for his partner to want to read his movements rather thandemand he speak, and once you learn his language, you’ll never wanthim to stop his brand of talking. He’s caring, protective,observant, humorous, and a great listener. Occasionally he’ll saysomething profound with so few words, it amazes you that he can dothat. And just like this minimalist explanation, Ice Bear uses fewwords to show how he deals with problems. If he cares about you, yourproblems are his problems. And he will solve them with you, and onlywith you.

“Your wish is Ice Bear’s command.”  (Oh boy you guys, I loved this one. Getting into the bear’s heads is my favorite thing to do. I love answering asks but life just gets in the way sometimes. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.)

This marsupial is the type to be…dramatic and a bit of a asshole when you break up with him. Throwing insults and insecurities at you may be the norm for him, but in his mind, he’s trembling at the thought of losing you, for you to be out of his life forever. Yes, it may not seem like it, but he really cares for you, and in fact you’re one of the many things beings he deeply cherishes. I guess losing you is one of his biggest fears. He never had someone as caring and understanding as you, or someone who’s there for him, and not his money.

And today may just be his lucky day!

His biggest fear is coming true, all because he didn’t treat you right. Ignoring his tears and aching heart, he pushes you out of his life, blocking you on all social media sites, eliminating every trace of you, everything that reminds him of you. 

“Leave! Leave, leave, leave, leave! I don’t ever want to see you again. It’s a joke I even liked you!” 

He gets more gloomy and hostile, and becomes very easy to provoke. Almost whatever anyone talks about seems like you’re speaking to him again. And that? That makes him so infuriated. He loathes the people on the streets holding hands, smiling lovingly at each other, because they have what he doesn’t have anymore. 

Through all this, he thought money could buy everything he wanted in the world…but it didn’t include you. 

Grizz:

He doesn’t believe what you’re saying is true. He doesn’t believe what he’s hearing through his grizzly ears.

Shaking slightly, he laughs, finding your joke more terrifying than it is humorous. He doesn’t want to lose you. Yes, he’s been a happy bear before me met you, but now? He’s more fulfilled than he could ever be.

“Grizz…I..I’m not joking. I want us to be done. I’m so sorry.”

He doesn’t realize the tears streaming down his furry face, or the fact that his heart is beating like he just ran a marathon and got chased by a shark. What he does realize is that if he doesn’t do anything, you’re going to be gone. Seeing tears of your own, he reaches out to hug you, but is shocked when you push him away. 

“I-I don’t understand. You and I..We were so happy! What did I do? I can fix it I promise! I promise, please, don’t go! I’ll do anything!”

Watching you walk out of the cave, is when he cries like a baby. He doesn’t believe this is true, and pinches himself many times, expecting him to wake up, and see you later in the day. You leave him torn, and he doesn’t know what to do, but follow. He tries to make it up many times to you, from buying gifts to making you laugh, he tries so hard, but he knows it won’t work. 

Because you won’t let him in. He was a happy bear before he met you, and now..? He’s not sure what he is anymore.

Panda:

He feels like he’s going to be sick. He may be a sensitive panda bear, but this is takes the cake. 

He smiles weakly, ignoring the pointy, deathly needles stabbing him in the heart, and the burning sensation of hot tears wanting to burst. Of course, you wanted to break up with him, who wouldn’t? He was silly to think this could last. 

“I understand. I-I guess it was a matter of time, wasn’t it? A matter of time before you realized who you were dating.”

Watching you leave, he doesn’t trail after you, yell at you, or anything really. He just watches, before the dam breaks. His feelings burst out of him, and he cries until dawn comes. 

“Who would date me, right? Good job you caught on soon enough.”

It may seem dramatic of him to say he’s depressed, but he can’t help but believe it’s sort of true. He isn’t happy as he used to be, and well in any type of situations like these, who would be happy? Anime doesn’t give him the feeling of awe and astonishment, if anything it makes him more moody since he remembered the anime nights the two of you shared. He takes up many activities to take his mind off of you, but it’s hard, since almost anything gives him the impression of you. Still, hiding the hurt, he sucks it up, knowing you would want him to be happy.

It was just silly of him to think anything good could come out of this. 

Ice Bear:

“Ice Bear thinks the joke you’re playing isn’t funny.”

He doesn’t believe you at all, and it takes a lot of convincing and stern talking to get it through his polar skull. Blinking, he tries to back you out of it. You do know you’re dating Ice Bear, right? He provides almost everything for you, treats you like royalty, why would you ever want to leave him? Was he not talkative enough? Was he not open enough? 

“Ice Bear wants to know why– why you want to leave.”

Ignoring the slight change in his behavior, from calm to a little antsy, he listens to your reasoning, although he doesn’t really believe what you’re saying is true. Did his brothers set you up to this? He’ll punish them for sure, no more late night snack runs for them. 

However, when you let tears fall out of frustration is when he slightly gets it. He does, but he doesn’t want to. He never had something in his life just fade away. He had very little in his remote life, and if losing you was the start of it, what if his brothers followed suite? What if he lost everything? Who would he be then? 

When you raise your voice in anger is when he realizes how hurt you are. He doesn’t want you to feel hurt, so despite his heart crumbling to pieces, he lets you leave. 

“Ice Bear hopes friendship will still ensue.”

He doesn’t cry, he doesn’t mope or yell. Yes, it hurts, it hurts so badly, but he sucks it up, all for you. Yeah, he may be the youngest in the bear family, but it seems as if he’s the oldest, and the eldest are the toughest, right? 

He’s still friends with you, and he wonders why it still hurts. He sees that you clearly moved on, and he wonders why he hasn’t. Ignoring the slight fluttery feeling he experiences when you laugh, or when the conversation grows stale, or when he desperately tries to ignore the achy feeling when you introduce someone new you adore. 

“Ice Bear is happy for you.”

But Ice Bear knows he isn’t happy.

However, many encounters with you prove him wrong, and he realizes how wrong he is. 

You’re…You’re effortlessly cute. You don’t have a script, someone to remind you day to day that you need to be cute and not a hot mess, you don’t have none of that. You’re just…weirdly, disgustingly adorable, and he loves it so much he can’t tell whether he hates it or not. Being the tsundere he is, he’ll tell you many times to stop what cute thing you’re doing, however secretly in his twisted mind he’s saying to continue. Still, tell him that he’s hurting your feeling or whatever it may be, he’ll stop, and just watch you in blissful silence, wondering how you’re not viral. He loves your adorable self to the moon and back, especially when you wave it off. Your blushy face is what he lives for, it’s too cute! He even wonders how he ended up with someone as cute as you, it’s like a miracle sent from the heavens. Ignoring the fake gags from Panda, and the slight chuckle from Ice Bear, he follows you like a love-struck puppy adoring little thing you do. Take care of this one, he’s too much, haha.

I hope some ofyou remember that that when you’re bullying people online fortrying to enjoy their favorite characters being explored in ways theyenjoy. I hope you remember this before you go out and you yell atpeople for their “deplorable” and “toxic” ways, saying thatthey’re most likely gross people in real life for shipping certaincharacters together, meanwhile you go and bully people because youyourselves treat fiction like reality. Just because some people shipcertain characters together doesn’t mean they condone incest,emotional abuse in relationships, etc.

Just because agroup of people grow up together doesn’t mean that they are actualbrothers and that their relationship can’t grow into somethingelse. For some reason, you guys were so adamant about protectingtheir precious brotherly love that some of you started actingunwholesome at best and antagonistic at worst. I get that you don’tlike shipping the bears, but harassing people because they do isn’tcool.

If you have aproblem with the way people write certain characters, then justignore it. There’s no point in getting angry over something soharmless.

And remember thatthis also applies to people who get angry at others for writingcertain characters as gay, which normally goes against the canon ofthe show, book, movie, etc. You guys… This is just fiction. Whocares what other people do with it?

I’m sorry Ihad to get all preachy all of a sudden, but the policing that certainpeople commit in fandoms is out of hand. I know that not all of youare like this, but dammit, a lot of you are, and a lot of youantagonized people so much that they left the fandom and watch theshow from a distance, refusing to interact with us and send us askslike these because they’re afraid of getting flack from others. Iknow the person who sent this ask and I won’t reveal their identitybecause – jesus, I’m making it sound like this person is beingkept safe by the secret service or some shit LMAOOO. This is a stupidproblem but hey, people like to make things complicated, don’tthey? That this person used anon to send us this ask speaks volumesabout all this…  They even asked me how I felt about bear shippingand after I let them know I’m okay with it, that’s when they toldme that they ship Grizz and Ice Bear. I realize that thisisn’t at the level of Steven Universe fandom insanity, but thatdoesn’t mean I shouldn’t be harsh when addressing these problemsin a different fandom.  And hopefully this will get people to comeout and send us more asks like these. To get mine and Sudzee’screative muscles working!Now I have to put the ask in areadmore, oh boy oh boy. Sorry about all that you guys. Well, that’sbasically it! Let’s get things started, shall we?

Itwas so sudden. This feeling of longing after someone. For someone whohe spended nearly every day with. Somehow seeing Grizz laughing,excitedly shouting like a child no longer annoyed the polar bear. Hefound it endearing.

At first, Ice hatedhimself for feeling this way, for succumbing to an emotion he thoughtmade him weak. This was his brother, he always took pride in beinghis older brother, there was no chance that Grizz would ever like himback that way. Ice Bear knew his limitations, and while he had knownhe was gifted in various ways, he believed that Grizz would prefer tobe with someone more verbal, more lively, someone who could actuallymatch his level of energy and excitement.

Ice Bear beganavoiding Grizz, telling himself that these feelings would pass. Yetwherever he went, the grizzly bear followed. To the store, to thekitchen, to the city, through the forest, even his fridge at somepoint. Grizz would talk to him through the closed door, and wouldnever leave until very late. Ice Bear never had the heart to tell himto leave. He even popped up in the bathroom onetime.“Ice Bear is bathing.” Ice said, covering hisbody with the shower curtain.

“Yeah, I know. Ijust… wanted to let you know that meat con is coming around nextThursday.”

Grizz was actinginsufferably bashful. Ice Bear should’ve been the one feelingembarrassed, but Grizz was unorthodox in every way you could thinkof. The polar bear somehow wasn’t surprised at this, just annoyed.

“Ice Bearknows. And Ice Bear was already convinced to go.” Against hisbetter judgment, Ice Bear had agreed to go with Grizz to meat conweeks ago. It was like Grizz had robbed him of his ability to say no.

“Ahhh, yeah,right, totally. It’s just, I wanted to make sure you were still onboard.”

“Leave.”

“Are you for realabout going with me? Like, are you reeeeeally sure? I bought thetickets.” He shoved the tickets just inches away from Ice Bear’swet snout. Ice saw Grizz’s desperate eyes poke out from behind thetwo tickets, seemingly tiny compared to the giant pieces of paper inhis face.

“Ice Bear knowsyou bought the tickets.”

“… Bro?”

“Sigh… Yes.”

“Awesome! This isgonna be so-” And Ice Bear kicked his body through the closed door.They had to get it replaced. Grizz followed him to the departmentstore and back all the way home, to the bathroom door frame. Grizzchattered away at him the whole time while trying to take care offixing everything. Screwing the hinges, holding the door, etc, allbecause he was the big brother, so he should be the one to take careof everything. Despite how haughty that sounded, Ice Bear couldn’tstay mad at him for very long, and Grizz took notice of that. Darnhim. Darn him and his boyish smile.

Meat con was fun,and it made Ice feel nervous, mostly because of the dozens of selfiesthat Grizz wanted to take with him in the same frame. Dozens ofpictures were taken that day. At some point they slammeda rude jerk in the face with a hanging ham and caught it on video.Grizz knew it would go viral, he just knew it. He was exhilarated.When they heard the announcement that there would be acook off, Grizz grabbed Ice Bear and dragged him to the stage. Hedeclared that there was no one he knew who could cook better than his“awesome little bro,” raising his arm above his head in earlyvictory. It garnered a lot of hateful looks, but Ice Bear didn’tmind. He was simply happy to be held in such high esteem by Grizz.And he knew he was right. There wasn’t anyone who could cook betterthan Ice Bear, he knew.

The firedepartment’s sirens could be heard throughout the neighborhoodlater that day. Apparently it was just unseemly for a human to bedefeated by a bear when it comes to cuisine, so one of thecontestants tried to cheat by sabotaging the bear. Unfortunately forhim his plan backfired, literally, and meat con ended in adeliciously scented blaze.

Grizz’s bellyrumbled fiercely as they set off toward the bus, the scent of roastedpork bacon and steak permeating into that characteristic SanFrancisco smog. Grizz told Ice Bear how much fun it was to spend timewith him.

“You’re like thebest person to spend time with. Nothing is ever not exciting with youaround.”

Ice Bear was takenaback. “Ice Bear doesn’t understand.”

“What’s that?”He asked, quirking his head to the side in a very cat-like manner,his boyish smile never fading.

“Ice Bear is…”And for a moment he stopped to take a deep breath to ready what hewas about to say, but Grizz was always quicker to speak.“What’sup, bro? You feeling alright? You’re never this… You never notknow what to say. I mean, you always know what you wanna say. Howcome you’re breathing all weird?”Now it was IceBear’s turn to be confused. He never knew what to say to people.The polar bear had very few words he could ever share with hisbrothers, not to mention strangers. He was quiet because he knew helacked a quality that others took for granted, the ability to havelong conversations with each other. Granted, he felt that mostconversations never really got to the point, and Ice Bear was nothingif not quick and methodical.

But being told healways knew what to say? Him? Silent shadowy Ice Bear? “Ice Bear isalways quiet.”

“Hey, that’strue, but,” he said that last word at length, putting a paw to hischin as though thinking a very deep thought. “when you do talk, youalways say what you mean to say like reeeally fast. I mean, sometimesit doesn’t make any sense, but I like that about you.” He shoutedthat last bit. His smile was wider than usual, and that was sayingsomething. “You’re just… so so sooo cool, dude. Everything thatwe do together is exciting. We take pictures in front of pigs wearinghats, we totally get to wail on jerks who try to pick on you, and weenter cook offs and win! It’s awesome!”

“Ice Bear is…quiet. Is that okay?”

Grizz tilted hishead in confusion. “Whaddya mean?”

“Is it alright forIce Bear to be… silent?”

“Well sure it is!Why wouldn’t it be? People are different, and that’s what’s sofun about life! And it’s what makes you fun too!” He side huggedIce Bear tightly, and when Ice looked down, he thought he saw abright red blush lining Grizz’ snout, but then he thought that itmust’ve been his own and nothing else. “I love spending time with you bro.”

“Really?” “Yeah! Of course it’s true! I like spending time with you more than anything.” He gasped and let go of Ice. “Don’t tell Pan Pan I said that, it would kill him. Ohhh, I can’t pick favorites! I’m the older brother!” Throughout all this he dramatically threw his arms in the air and buried his head in his paws.

And soon IceBear began to feel stupid for feeling so defeatist. That was unlikehim. It was like he forgot how amazing Ice Bear actually was. Ice Bear had a certain suspicion for months by then. Why was Grizz acting more clingy than usual around him, and him alone? Maybe it was a false hope he was feeding himself, but Ice Bear wanted to believe that Grizz’s feelings dug deeper than just a familial bond.

When they got offthe bus and walked toward the cave, Ice hugged Grizz from behind,surprising the big bear.

And unable tocontain himself: “Ice Bear likes Grizz.”

“What? Oh, uh. Ilike you too bro.”

“No… Ice Bear…Likes… Grizz.”

Grizz was quick topick up on what he meant.

“Ohmygosh! Youlike me!?”

Ice Bear felt readyto die before he realized that his brother was excited, not angry.  

Grizz tackled him tothe ground, hugging him and nuzzling his chest, telling him how muchhe liked him back.

And then all thosemonths of his older brother clinging to him, finding reasons to spendtime with him, from the biggest events to the most mundane, all of itmade sense. Grizz had feelings for him this whole time.

Bears reacting to their s/o fainting during a warm day?

oh no

Grizz:

He’d admit this moment was the only time he almost had a heart attack. Looking back at this moment still gives him the sweaty paws and a jittery, worrisome heart. 

It happened when the two of you were in the park, enjoying some ice cream, and talking about this and that. He remembered you complaining about the heat, and he reassured you were going to be fine. Oh man, he still feels guilty about that. He should have listened, shouldn’t he? 

And then it happened. 

You just…dropped. Your body was limp, your ice cream falling next to you in the grass. His first reaction was to gasp, and pick you up, the guilt and worry eating him up. He was so stupid, so so so so stupid. Why didn’t he listen to you?? Rushing to the nearest building, he would call for help, doing anything to try and wake you up.

The moment you wake from unconsciousness is when he is this close to tears. He thought you died!

“Babe! Don’t do that ever again for as long as you live!”

Panda:

 To this day he still curses himself and his artistic abilities.

You and him were on top of the cave, it was a humid day. Wanting to get the most out of it, he decided it would be a good time to paint a portrait of you.

Obliging, you sat in the hot, humid weather, ignoring the heat that was consuming you. Seeing Panda so happy and free made you hold your tongue. Besides, sacrificing your personal needs for your romantic partner was your logical reasoning. Sigh, the heat made you so illogical.

Dozing off, you looked at the trees and the sun with blurry eyes. If didn’t feel like you were Y/N at all, it felt like you were the hot air itself. Blinking several times, you forgot what you were doing, or why you were on top of a cave with a panda bear who could paint. What was this? A cartoon? How absurd.

What you felt next was a face full of grass and Panda’s cries of distress. He would carry you inside the cave, and plead for help from his brothers. Panda felt so guilty, he should’ve asked how you felt.

When your eyes flutter open, you see Panda crying, holding you close. He’s blabbering this and that, and you can only make so much out of it. 

“Im so sorry…! We won’t do that again, I promise!”

You never saw a panda so red that day.

Ice Bear: 

 He wonders to this day how only you fainted. He is a polar bear after all, he should’ve went down with you.

The two of you were at a carnival, a date you initiated. The day was hot and humid, and though the two of you dreamed of cool air, you guys suffered for some alone time. 

Ice Bear was sweating up a storm. He would complain to you, and listen to your light-hearted giggle, saying it’d cool down in the evening. So, here where the two of you, sitting on a bench, enjoying pink and blue cotton candy. You realized too how hot it was getting. Ignoring the sweat on your forehead, and the dizziness giving you a blatant warning, you conversed with the polar bear. A little heat never hurt anybody, right? You could survive, you were sure of it. It was just a hot day, that was all. 

“Ice Bear thinks blue cotton candy is better than– … Y/N. Y/N." 

 His eyes widen, and he sweeps you in your arms, splashing water on your face, tickling you, anything he can think of. The intellectual side of his disappears in a snap, and all he focuses on is you and how hot you are. He calls for help, even the ambulance if you don’t wake up in time.

When you wake up, it’s a dream come true. He holds you dearly, and from now one, he tries to avoid hot weather for the both of you. He only allows you to faint from him alone. He’s irresistible, I know, haha.

Nom Nom:

Being the narcissistic, boastful marsupial that Nom Nom is, nothing can really hold him back. Either that it’s money that wins you over, or perhaps simply enjoying each other’s presence, he’s going to do it. And when he does it, it’s going to be over the top, flashy, grande, and especially embarrassing inducing. It could be the most simplest thing in the world, or maybe even the most ridiculous, complicated thing you desire, he will do it. You cannot tame this koala. He is an unstoppable cute, angry machine. Good luck, dear friend.

Grizz:

The way he tries to woo and impress his crush is well…sorta silly. You could be introverted and frankly quite calm, or perhaps as carefree and energetic as Grizz is. The way he’s going to impress you is stunts. And lot’s of them. Doesn’t matter what you’re doing. Studying for an exam for college? He’s gonna heely up the wall, quoting something from your textbook. Enjoying nature outside the cave? Prepare for some awesome skydiving off the cave from yours truly, Grizz.

Or perhaps it’s how generous and cheery he is that woos you. Giving you the last cookie in the cookie jar, picking you up to see what’s ahead of you or what you can’t see, he’s gonna do his all to make you smile. That’s all he asks for.

Panda:

This lil’ bundle of black and white is a little bit of a try hard…and a hopeless romantic. He’ll make up a serenade to sing for you, a self portrait of you to give to you, or perhaps buy you some chocolate and a plushie of whatever animal you love. He longs for the moments where its just the two of you, and he can woo you himself, not with the help of his brothers. Let’s just say…they can be a tad overbearing.

Or maybe you aren’t interested in those things, and well…okay!…? He’ll do his best! Just don’t tease him if he gets it wrong, haha…

Ice Bear

This mysterious polar bear takes his time before he decides to woo you. He observes, and takes mental notes. He watches, and figures out whats makes you happy and what doesn’t. Gathering enough information, he makes his move. And when he decides to woo you? Be prepared, its wooing to a whole other level.

Still, he keeps his wooing simple, yet he intensifies it. You like his cooking? Well, just watch as he makes a three coursed meal of your personal favorites. You like his barista skills? Haha, that’s all you’re going to see and drink when you’re visiting the cave. Let it be an animal, cartoon character, or a cute portrait of you, he’s willing to do so. Whatever he believes will catch your interest…He. Will. Do. It.

Nothing can stop these four wooing you. Good luck, you’re gonna need it.
