Can we still be friends?
So a while ago, about two months, I broke up with my ex. (We'll call him L) So L and I've been dating for a few months, after school had ended it took a few more months for me to break it to him that I just didnt have any interest anymore. It was over a phone call since he was out of state. (I wish it was in person)
Anyway, L said it was okay with him. At least that's what he sounded like... Skip to a couple weeks after the phone call where I havent been picking up his calls due to personal things happening around me at the time. And so I finally got around to answering the phone when L accuses me of cheating on him during the relationship! In which i told him no and that it wasnt true.
His backup was that everyone in his contacts (that were his friends during school) told HIM that I cheated. Of course I was angry and confused, I told him many times that it just wasnt true! I even asked him who they were and when, also how?! But he just said he didnt want to say and he KNEW that I did.
I dont know weather or not he was lying or just mad that I broke up. School had just started for me today and when I saw him in the halls (it was two times, this is the first) he was like, "Rose?" (I'll be referring to myself as rose) I turned my head and saw it was him, but we were going separate ways so we parted.
I hate to say it, but I really did want to see him again and still be friends. The second time was when I was going back to homeroom. L was going to opposite direction and we were bound to see eye to eye. I walked pass like it was nothing even though I wanted to stop him and explain everything, but the only thing he said was, "I hate you" in a mumbled like tone...
I feel like I did something wrong, maybe I could've explaied better? Idk I really need advice on this and would greatly appreciate anything really. Hope you or at least someone could say something about it. Oh, and sorry for the incorrect spelling and grammar, I'm just really rushed while making this right now
And I might be making a part 2 to this if things progress
