Aurora doesn't admit it, but she sees Jonny more like a son. It's because he was the first one mechanized and has known him longest. When Jonny started getting uncomfortable around Carmilla because of trauma, Aurora's motherly instinct kicked in and took the matter into her own hands and was the one who airlocked Carmilla. She let him take the credit for it because it made him happy. She also calls him Captain because she just wants to see her little boy happy. Jonny will never admit it but he knows she sees him like a son and actually likes it. She reminds him of his biological mother.

He also accidentally called Aurora mum once and she was so happy that her system started overheating.<3

Jonny doesn't ACTUALLY kill annoying kids, he knows what it's like to be the annoying kid, he just says he kills them so he can appear tough and threatening

His arm isn't the only body part Marius lost.

At the base of his spine sits a little nub, usually tucked away in his pants. It's extremely small and hairy, but cut off lopsided.

He had to have his tail amputated as a child/ young teen, not that he remembers why. If he's asked about if, he'll start a spiel about the 'medical necessity' of bodyparts and conserving materials during hard times, but he could not tell you about the actual incident.

If war hadn't been raging since long before his time, his tail could've been saved.

Marius doesn't mind it, he doesn't feel any pain from it anymore since getting his Mechanism. For the most part, he forgets he ever had a tail in the first place. Jonny, however, went a bit...haywire when he saw the remnants of the bad amputation. Tailed people just react differently to that kind of trauma, especially if the tail is used for social purposes.

Raphaella has echolalia, she'll really go around parroting the others all day. Everyone finds it cute, she's like a real bird

She mostly repeats phrases right after she's heard them, sometimes she repeats it a few times a day, if it really sticks she might repeat it for a few weeks

One day the mechs all went together to see if they could get Raph to start chirping, so a couple of times that day everyone went "chirp chirp!"

Raph still goes "chirp chirp!" on the daily, even though it's been decades

This is my first mechs hc ask, so sorry if this is a bit disjointed, or just not great, but I need to yap about hearteyes. During the moon war Jonny wanted to touch Tim’s hair constantly. To the point where every time he saw Tim in the tunnels he’d have to stop himself from being impulsive and just reaching out to grab a handful. At one point during the Jonny buzz-cut era Tim ruffled his hair and Jonny took the chance to return the favor, and they quickly fell into a pattern of ruffling each other’s hair, playing with it, styling it for each other etc.(specifically Jonny would braid Tim’s hair, not to say he was good at it at all).

As we all know, Jonny is secretly a soft boy who loves cuddles and stuff. Therefore, when Nastya went out, he practically attached himself to one of the crew members (my hearteyes obsessed brain says taht crew member is Tim). No one was able to leave him alone, and he was constantly worried about the others, cause he thought that if one on them left his sight, he might never see them again. This ended in a massive group cuddle.

(sorry for the absolute paragraph of a headcanon (headcannon?))

Jonny D'Ville's Harmonica:

When he was a child his dad, Billy, gave him a Blue Deville harmonica with Billy's name ingraved on it. This harmonica was the only gift he has ever gotten from his father.

After Jonny killed his father and left his planet, he wanted to change his surname because he didnt want to be asosiated with his father. He looked at his harmonica and saw the brand: Blue Deville, and thats when he changed his name to Jonny D'Ville.

His harmonica is never more then 5 meters (16 feet) away from him. He keeps it close and he even sleeps with it on his pillow next to his head.

Once he lost it on the Aurora and he had a full on crash out. The whole crew helpt him search for it and when The Toy Soldier found it, he was the most greatfull he has hever been to a person. Well to an object.

Drumbot Brian's Heart:

When Dr. Carmilla mechinised Brian she putted a transparent panel on his chest so that you can see his heart.

He loves showing it off to people, because it is the only thing he has left of his humanity. Apart from of course his personality.

Because the transpartent plate is not sound proof, you can hear his heart beating.

When Raphaelle once compilented Brian, she saw that his heart started beating faster and the sound became louder. She found this adorable so she told the others and now they all flirt with him just to see it.

Because he doesnt have skin, you can see him blushing, so seeing his heart beating faster is they're way to knowing that he is enjoying the compliments and the other stuff.

Warm Metal Skin:

When the starship Aurora floads through an ice cold part of the universe, Marius feels like he will freeze to death if he doesnt do anything about it, but the he remembers: Brian can warm up this matal body when it gets cold. Marius sneeks of to Brians bedroom where he was sleeping. Marius gentaly lays down on the rightside of Brian and Marius wraps his arms around the robots warm metal body. After a while, the door of his bedroom opens again and Tim walks in. He is so cold and he know about Brians body. Marius and him make eyecontact, not expecting to see one anorther. They dont say anything as Tim lays down close against Brians leftside. A few quiet minutes go by, but it wouldnt last long as the door opened yet again. Jonny was now standing there, looking at Tim and Marius who had the same idea as him. Marius moved to lay on top of Brian as Jonny then took Marius's right side. They all quickly fell a sleep. After hours, Brian finely woke up. When he did, he realised that his warm body was being cuddeld by the other 3 men. He smiled and heated up his body slightly more. After that, this started to be something that happend everytime the Aurora was going through a cold part of space.

this happens very frequently.
