Really just enjoying sketching that that more precise and expressive look that hands seem to have and trying to get them to look simplified enough while still retaining their humanity. I’ve been absolutely screaming this song on my way home from swordfighting at the moment, it’s well and truely in my skull and I adore it.

Trying to incorporate more lyrics into these ones, I so genuinely hope people pick up the vibe I was going for trying to bring in the universes and broken hands. i feel like some people don't understand that you can be gay and demi. like, i have seen a few posts floating about re: eddie arguing for one or the other but. it's not a case of one or the other. sexual and romantic attraction are very different things. yes, demisexuality requires an emotional bond for sexual attraction, but the sexual attraction itself can still be dependent on other factors, i.e. gender. you can be demisexual and only sexually attracted to men. you can be demisexual and gay. being demisexual does not mean that you are attracted to anyone as long as there is that emotional bond. it simply means that that emotional bond must exist first. there are other facets of sexuality within that. demisexuality does not define who you are attracted to, it defines how you experience sexual attraction. therefore, demisexual gay eddie is very valid and very possible.

“She suspects it’s a bond rupture.”

Buck blinks at him and looks confused. “But you’re not bonded. Shannon wasn’t even old enough before she— you know.”

“Not Shannon,” Eddie says. His stomach roils with nausea and his whole body aches. How does he say this? It’s so dumb. They should just have the infusions. Eddie moved away. They won’t be able to be in the same city anymore. He shouldn’t have even said anything. What is the point?

But— Buck. How can he lose Buck? He already had to move and leave him behind. How could Eddie possibly take those awful chemicals to dissolve and erase everything he has left?

He finds the letters on his arm with his fingers. B.U.C.K.L.E.Y. Then goes back to the beginning and absentmindedly feels the silken thread in the familiar shapes on the sweatshirt all over again.

Buck looks like he’s thinking but coming up with nothing. “Who then?”

“It’s probably— I mean. I don’t know for sure. But. If you think about it. Out of anyone it would be. Possibly? I’m guessing—” God, he just needs to say it. He can say it. It’s not a big deal. They didn’t plan on this. And they’ll deal with it like they do everything else. “It’s you. I think. You and me. Maybe. That was my thought.”

Buck turns bright red and hides his face by rubbing his hand over it and scratching the back of his neck. “H-how? How would that even— we’re not— you’re not interested in— We’ve never had— we’ve never, you know. Had— or made— or done—? Wi-with each other. How would we randomly be bonded? We can’t be bonded. I am not pining after anyone. Everyone thinks I am, but I’m not. Wouldn’t I know if I were b-bonded? Wouldn’t we both know?”

Eddie almost laughs. Does he really know anything at this point? “You don’t have to have sex to bond.” Sex is just going through the motions. At least in Eddie’s experience. But no one cares if an omega enjoys it. It’s not for an omega. An omega is there to service their partner. “It’s time and care and intimacy that do it. And usually intention.”

“Okay, but. Isn’t it like getting married? Aren’t there whole ceremonies and sex things or whatever other intimate rituals that have to take place?”

Obviously Buck hates the idea. Obviously he’s disturbed by it. “I don’t know, Buck. I just thought. Out of anyone. The most likely thing. Was you. Considering we’re—” Fuck. Maybe that was wishful thinking. Maybe Eddie was too quick to assume.

What the hell does that say about him?

Eddie moves to Texas and finds himself growing sick and unable to make himself and Chris a home. He and Buck are aching without each other and have to choose to either become mates or permanently severe their unintentional bond since they're now hundreds of miles apart living separate lives.
