Javert is a class traitor. He was born in a jail, he would have arrested both his mother and his father if he had had the chance, he’s a policeman. I feel like people don’t think about that, but the police are class traitors. They go against their own class since the law often doesn’t “apply” to the upper class and disproportionately affects minorities(from what I’ve read, he is implied to be at least half-Romani). He also has a really “black and white” way of thinking, like the legal system along with the law is always just and correct when it is one of the most flawed things in history simply because they were made by humans(who in my opinion, are the most greedy and selfish animals). He literally chases around Valjean, who is the representation of the common man. I honestly find it ironic, the law chasing around the common man. But I don’t know I’m tired from crying after that fuckass bill was passed.
