nike: iridescent

in 2014 nike launched the iridescent women’s blazer mid. in 2015 a whole bunch more iridescent options popped up including options for the nikeiD customizable air force 1. unfortunately i was a lowly student with no extra spending money and no eye out for new shoes at the time. i was able to snatch a pair of the tennis classics with an iridescent swoosh (adidas has a similar version). i had to hunt mine down through barneys in chicago, but it was totally worth it. see some of the original designs below and just drool...

saltwater sandals

yes, i am a responsible, adult woman. and yes, my favorite sandal brand looks cutest on small toddlers. but no, i’m not ashamed and will probably match my child one day - and it will kill you with cuteness so don’t judge. 

i’ve worn saltwater sandals since i was probably three. i was lucky enough to inherit wide feet from my mom and that means i have to buy shoes that will fit me or at least stretch as i wear them. saltwaters are comfortable and cute. the most convenient place i’ve found to purchase saltwater sandals from is modcloth since the actual company doesn’t sell online. they are flat and comfortable, but so cute and easy to style, especially with the variety of colors and prints they offer. in addition, they are water wear friendly, meaning they are great for the beach, or wearing in the rain, or when babysitting and playing in the water. they are high quality and handmade in missouri and long lasting. on top of that they aren’t that expensive, only about $42 - great investment in my opinion.

i have two pairs: yellow patent and cherry printed leather and i wear both all the time in the summer. here are some of my adventures in them...

pretty in pink

millennial pink is one of the most popular colors right now. and i’ll admit, i’ve been sucked into the trend. who doesn’t love a pink shoe though? whether its velvet, leather, suede, or silk. a pattern, a jacquard, a bow, or even a pom pom... i have a bit of everything. boots, flats, mules, heels, and sneakers. i think molly ringwald would be proud.

the best pink mules... ever

these are some of my favorite heels. zara, of course, but i had to track them down and found them on ebay. one of the best purchases i’ve made. millennial pink AND bows, can’t get much better than that.
