My hot take is that lstwt tends to get a bad rap. Sure, there are Boundary Warriors who take things too far (though I challenge you to find any fandom, especially on twitter, where that doesn't occur) but it's also a platform that the majority of cc's use, and the way it's algorithm is designed means that even avoiding using creators names isn't a sure-fire way to keep shit off their feeds.

Idk man. I think publicly posting things a creator has specifically said they're uncomfortable with on a platform where there's a good chance they'll see it kind of makes you a bit of a dick.

There's a debate to be had about how creators increased exposure to and involvement in fandom spaces has effected said spaces, but that's kind of the beauty of the Tumblr/Twitter fandom divide these days. For many people, a big appeal in being on the Twitter side of any given mcyt fandom is the connection with creators, while the appeal for the Tumblr side of mcyt fandom is the distance from creators. And like. When a not-insignificant part of Twitter Fandom is the creators directly engaging with it, of course that community is going to shape itself into a space more comfortable for those creators, because they want those interactions to continue.

tldr; different websites facilitate different types of Fandom and that is totally normal and totally okay, and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
