Some updates from Pika Edition! Volume 14 Special Edition comes with a brushbug plush, so if you missed the Japanese version that came with one this is a must grab! There's also Volume 3 of the Grimoire edition, and a 2025-2026 diary :D
Additionally!! I'm not sure if this is available elsewhere but Bulle en Stock has an extra adult baseball cap you can add to your cart for those buying 3 volumes from the series. I don't know if all 3 of the above will count but I'm certainly trying!

New art from Shirahama!: "The latest chapter 88 of *Witch Hat Atelier* has been published on Moetsu Web. A secret that must not be known, must not be confessed, and must be carried forever. In a corner of an unstable, wavering world, the hope for the future that a master sees in their disciple. The Silver Night Festival arc concludes! And the story moves into a new chapter..."
Now's the perfect time to catch up with Witch Hat if you're behind. The English simulpub has now opened up to more countries - if you'd like to see where, see this tweet.
[ID: A circular illustration depicting Qifrey from the shoulders up, looking straight ahead and smiling gently with his eyes lowered. A ring of silverleaf tree branches encircles his head, level with the edge of his hat. The background is an illustration of a silver tree, also used for the cover of Volume 3. END ID]

A belated Happy Birthday to Coco! (25th of May from Shirahama's twitter).
[ID: Three illustrations of Coco, with the words "Happy Birthday COCO!" behind her. They all lean to the right: the left-most stands on her left leg with a surprised expression; the middle stands on two, smiling and looking down at Brushbug, who looks back up at her; the right-most kicks out her left leg and smiles widely with her eyes closed. Chapter 87 is now out in Japanese! So much is happening! Aaa!! To celebrate the release, Shirahama posted the illustration above on her twitter.
[ID: A full-body drawing of Ininia holding Restis' hat (which is a pinkish purple) above her head in both hands, as she floats with her knees tucked. She looks at the viewer with a blank look on her face. The background has a smattering of gold stars. END ID]

As a note:
The mass DMCA takedowns that have affected unofficial fanlations (to avoid trouble I don't signpost these places even by name, but if you know you know) do have me a little worried.
If requested - whether with a legal or informal prompt - this archive will take down any material (though importantly I can still host things like the index, which signposts to as many official sources of specific images as I can manage in case something like this is requested). I have my own offline copies, but when it comes to things like artbooks I would recommend people make their own backups of images or sets they're interested in.
I'm going to be especially careful about the timing of uploading new artbooks - I was already waiting out sales windows somewhat, but I'm going to be a little more cautious. The large artbook and new colouring book are being released to US audiences in autumn, so neither will materialise here until a month or two of sales for those has elapsed.
People have been fantastic about this from what I've seen, but to reiterate - please be sure to only post direct links to the archive in private discussions if you can, and if you do post it publicly please avoid using official tags and ideally keep it to sites where deleting a post means its gone for all viewers (i.e. not sites like tumblr where a reblog saves it forever).

A new beautiful illustration by Shirahama, uploaded to twitter here.
[ID: A coloured illustration of Qifrey and Olruggio. They sit back to back, gaze turned to the viewer. Qifrey is holding his spell book and above his other hand hovers a ball of water. Olruggio hold in his hand a small, flaming ball. The background is an intricately patterned circle containing motifs of clouds, stars, and a tree in the top centre. END ID]

Also - Volume 14 is out in Japanese, but I've not ordered it this time as there wasn't a limited version. So for the little volume related artwork it'll take a little for me to get those up for you 👍

Would you believe it, I cannot ignore it aha. Since this is a behemoth AND this is getting republished by Kodansha US (remember to go pre-order!) and as a rule I don't like sharing artbooks until they've been available for a while, it'll be a slow trickle and I'll likely prioritise new art or artwork that's only existed in lower-quality prints before now!

Scans of the artbook are complete! I JUST found a setting on my scanner which reduces some of the ink-dot issues I've had... Well, perhaps I'll ignore that for now ✌️ Now to crop and edit every page aha
#that one artwork from the volume 11 artbook with coco sitting on a tree... you will be Improved#it's so funny how many places i've seen my scan about and i can tell cos there's a big ol' bit of scanner fluff i forgot to edit out#and it's in aaaall the pintrest reuploads. lmao.

do you happen to know anything additional on news about the anime adaptation?
all we have so far is a vague "spring 2025" right?
youd think we'd get more details by now, no?
I don't think we'd ever had a season for release, just 2025. There was some misinformation floating around because of a convention appearance that people got mixed up with an anime date, I think?
I've not heard anything official yet, no. My estimation when we got the teaser was it'd be the latter half of 2025, with a voiced trailer coming out before then. Given the studio and the detail, it's honestly a good sign they're taking their time rather than rushing to release!

Afternoon all, hope you're having a good day. The above was posted by WHA's German Publisher, Egmont Manga, following the Leipzip Book Fair that Shirahama just attended, and I'd seen the wonderful WitchHatUpdates account on twitter share these screenshots and wanted to share it here too as I whole heartedly agree with the publisher here. By purchasing from official sources or second-hand from fans selling old copies at reasonable prices we can keep our fan community low on scalper behaviour. This will be extremely critical when the anime comes out and we see an influx of fans and the opportunists looking to exploit their wallets. This is especially true of extremely limited items such as event-specific goods - it's one thing to buy an old artbook that was available for online preorders at double price, it's entirely another to encourage physical spaces to be swarmed with people looking to make money in the literal place where a fan could have been.
English ALT text is below, if someone would be willing to transcribe the German I can also add that.
[ID: A screenshot of an instagram post from Egmont Manga's account (egmontmanga). It consists of white text on a black background, arranged into 2 columns. The text reads: "Hello everyone! We've received messages that some people want to sell the trade fair edition of 'Atelier of Witch Hat' at exorbitant prices; one person even sold a signed shikishi, which, to be honest, disappoints us. "The bad news is: we can't do anything about it. [Emoji of a right pointing arrow, to direct you to the next column.] "The good news is: you can! Simply by doing nothing. If you stick together as a community and no one responds to these offers, these people will be left with their offers. "Using books and shikishi in this way is neither in our interest nor the artist's interest. The same applies here as concert tickets: don't buy from third parties at exorbitant prices. "Best regards, your Egmont Manga Team [hand-heart emoji]" END ID]

I remember in January I asked for a link for I think the French WHA Artbook. Has it been released yet or no? Thank you for reading my question :)
Hi there! If you're asking about L'Art Des Sorciers it has indeed been released by the French publisher. It's also been announced that Kodansha USA will be releasing the same artbook in Autumn this year if you held off buying it.

Also! For those not currently aware - the big ol' artbook that was published by Pika AND the new colouring book will ALSO be published by Kodansha USA. Link to information here. The publishing date is set for Autumn 2025.
Owning both of these I can say that the artbook is fantastic, and especially worth it if you've not gotten your hands on any artbooks previously as it covers a lot of their contents and more! The colouring book also has fantastic colouring pages to go through - the only thing I'll say is the pages are double-sided (and presumably still will be for this edition) which means if you like to colour with mediums that bleed through a page you'll have to get two, only colour certain pages, or make copies.
It's likely to be a long time before I can get the full artbook edited and uploaded, but I do feel like I should delay it until sales start for this version. I will probably prioritise uploading images that aren't in other artbooks in the interim.

The long awaited Volume 14 cover has been revealed! The Japanese edition is scheduled for release on the 23rd of April. The manga is on hiatus this month to give Shirahama time to work on the new volume, so no chapter this week!
