Fandoms of Tumblr, we need your help!

After the incident with Jared Padalecki and Justin Bieber, the supernatural fandom received help from the various other fandoms of tumblr to make a statement: that we were not going to be intimidated by ‘Beliebers’ announcing they would boycot our show. As a result, that week’s Supernatural episode got the highest rating in about 5 years.

Shortly after, the episode in which the angel Castiel returned managed to beat that rating, showing the popularity of Castiel as a character, and Misha Collins as an actor.

Currently, we still do not know if Misha will return next season. (We expect he will, but there’s still been no confirmation.) So showing that we care about him is really important to us right now!

Now I’m sure most of you remember the Mishapocalypse from last year. I also know that, if the posts crossing my dash are any indication, most of you would rather not see a repeat of that. So how about we do not start a second Mishapocalypse, but instead give our beloved Misha Collins something even better? How about we give him the honour of having directed the highest rated Supernatural episode of the year? (Which would make it the highest rated Supernatural episode in several years, actually.)

You do not have to actually watch the episode. Just turning on the tv while the episode airs and muting the sound also counts for ratings. If you want, you can also tweet during the three hour frame surrounding the episode - so an hour before until an hour after - with the hashtag #Supernatural, which will also count for Nielsen ratings.

I know we can do it. We’ve done it before. The power of tumblr is something we all know. Especially when we unite. So please, help us do this for Misha.
