Like they’re relationship is SO rocky right now and Blake ALWAYS insists on being EXACTLY next to yang at ALL TIMES this is just such a good example of it and no one ever talks about it like

- there are soooo many other seats

- in this situation usually you’d sit on the other side of the table to even things out NOPE!! Right next to yang

- there’s clearly more room on that booth chair she’s as close to yang as possible on purpose

- no one else is sitting, yang clearly sat down and then Blake decided ‘no we’re sitting’

- Blake is happy in that shot (looking at Weiss and Ruby getting along easily, the other set of partners on their team) but if you look at this one

gotta go back to my roots for this one and say the entirety of bumbleby’s development is just SO fucking insane to me.

volume 3, yang gets her arm cut off trying to save blake from her abusive ex and blake runs away b/c she blames herself and doesnt want yang to get hurt more as a result of her… but yang has abandonment issues so she takes it poorly.

flashforward to volume 6 where they kill blake’s abusive ex together and it’s a very huge moment for both of them because their stories and character developments are so intrinsically intertwined it’s insane 😭😭

then flashforward even more to volume 9 where they literally have to be FORCED to confess their love for each other by the sentient alternate dimension they accidentally fell into because they’ve been dancing around the topic of their feelings for each other for YEARS. FUCK. literally nobody does it like them.
