Milevens deserve an apology from the way certain people in this fandom have been treating them lately. shipping mileven doesn’t automatically make you media illiterate, homophobic, misogynistic or a bad person. certain people associated in the mileven community may be homophobic and share genuinely harmful homophobic idealism but they don’t speak for the community as a whole the same way that the vocal minority of people who hate El and Nancy for genuinely misogynistic reasons don’t speak for byler,steddie and stonathan shippers as a whole. I think that we could all benefit from being kinder to each other regardless of who we ship instead of judging people’s characters based on who they ship Mike Wheeler with.
