Here goes...

I was never a fan of Astro or moonbin, i was never an avid kpop fan but the news of his passing had such a big impact on me, it's hard to let go. I am still in denial..

I first knew moonbin from the mermaid prince, I was drawn by his personality and character, but that's that. It felt like just a week ago i watched him on running man, having the time of his life with his boys. His videos would occassionally pop up on my tik tok, he'd always be dancing passionately on stage, and also the one shining the brightest.

I knew he existed, but i did not get the chance to know him.

On the day the news broke, i found myself grieving and crying over a guy i barely knew, the whole world was grieving.. The past few days was tough, my social media platforms were flooded with him and it is through his passing, i've gotten to know who this guy is. This man is a gem. He had the brightest smile, a beautiful personality and such a pure heart. He was a loving guy, and had such a big heart for the people around him. I ended up falling for him, and for who he is.

My only regret is that I wished i could've gotten to know him a lot earlier.. and now all that is left is just memories of him that i plan on revisiting because thats how i am going to choose to love him and keep him alive.

My heart aches for his loved ones and the people who loved him.. he was such a sweet boy with so much in stored for him.. my heart goes out to his family, to the astro boys, to his bestest friends. He was such a great brother, friend and family member..

Rest in peace Moonbin. You brought so much joy and love to the world, and i hope you know how loved you are. But i am glad i had that small pocket of time to know you when you were still here.. My heart aches so badly everytime i see something about you. Thank you for leaving such great memories and records that i can always look back upon fondly. You always do your best for the people around you, you always choose to show people you're okay despite how tired you are. Thank you for being you, thank you for all that you've done. You can rest now…
