my job is killing invasive plants but i cant hate invasive plant. trying to eradicate them is waging war against nature and they will win in the end. but its like tending a garden u have to remove the weeds to keep it nice for nature and us. otherwise our salt marsh will all be eaten by bad grass

Have you played slime rancher 2?

I have played Slime Rancher 2, but have not opened it since the shop update. I have a bit of a complex relationship with the game where i feel like there is a lot of untapped potential. The sequel has added a lot and has a foundational focus on graphics. I have opinions on game mechanics that were left unchanged, balancing choices that interrupt gameflow, the lighting engine is intense and not yet perfected (last i saw it is still a rough transition to go from a cave to outdoor light.) Im not a fan of the dependance on random chance for resource gathering and slime appearances. Weather update made things more random, shop update added a daily rotation of stock, which i found underwhelming. Drones alone cant fix these things for me so ultimately I have decided to not play the game again until the 1.0 is released. A lot of my feelings and critiques are personal and probably too harsh for something in early access.
