I'm sure this fashion incident has been discussed at length in the fandom, so please can someone enlighten me if this is Code or just Hastings being Hastings? I mean... he's wearing a tie for a belt. I understand taking the tie off for tennis, but maybe put it in one's pocket rather than actually wearing it?

I’m so excited for the Poirot edit I’m about to share. I’m just polishing it and captioning and then it’ll be ready!!! Every time I’ve watched it through I’m grinning by the end. I’ve been pushing myself to make longer videos and I’m very pleased and proud!

We get little screentime dedicated to Arthur's possible PTSD but I like to headcanon him having intense survivors guilt
I mean he was 30 and already in the military but as we all know the british weren't opposed to sending 18-year-olds to the front too (J.R.R. Tolkien for example)
And I can only imagine how it felt being an officer sending these boys out to no man's land to fight in hell on earth while he stayed behind
So I dedicated a page of my sketchbook to this
Also I spent like half an hour researching ww1 british dog tags so I can make his
Basically they had a number like an ID, then the surname, the first letter of the first name (usually), date of birth (which I made up because he is definitely a march pisces you cannot change my mind), blood type (which as you can see I headcanoned him being AB positive) and religion (CE stands for church of England but it was also like a collective term for people who's religion was unknown or they weren't practicing).
So yeah I'm proud of this although I messed up his face a little :DD

(I'd like to think Hastings is imagining Poirot having a wild night of drinking and singing drinking songs. Imagining him dancing on the table)
