context because shits hard to understand - v2 looks at v1 (or a mirage of him as a death hallucination or something ) and thinks that it's a "reflection" of HIM, but really deep down he knows that he's a reflection of IT. hes the bad sequel, the unwanted second child that can't stack up to v1. And it hurts. i feel like v2 would actually have emotions, at least somewhat real ones considering we've seen him visually get pissed (wrath rematch), which also clues in that he can feel sad. I LIKE THAT. weirdly enough he/him v2 and they/it v1 make so much sense in my little head and so does ferryman being a therapist friend lol
