i really feel like booktok needs to learn the difference between picture perfect instagram models and actual actors

with the twisted series and fourth wing both becoming shows and the perspective castings, i’ve seen nothing but negative things towards the actors. everyone just wants a instagram model, and they are beautiful and it works for fancasts, but not for castings. it happens every time a show is made!! people get so angry because the actor doesn’t have every beauty standard and they defend themselves by saying “well it’s not how i pictured them” okay so have you ever thought that they embodied the role outside of looks.

unpopular opinion but i liked apollos chapters in a curse for true love.

yes i thought they were annoying because i wanted jacks or eva but i thought it gave much needed insight to his character. we didn’t really know apollo and his wavelength of thinking so knowing his motivations and the way he excuses his actions made him really 3 dimensional. i really appreciate knowing his entire scope instead of “yes, he’s evil and jealous but you don’t get anything else from him”. apollo is still horrible (#1 apollo hater) but knowing his thoughts made you hate him even more while establishing his personality.

i wish there was less of his chapters but i think they did serve a big purpose. i also like knowing more about the magnificent north monarchy :)
