UPDATE.

So it's been a while since I've been here! July has been a crazy month for me and I'm not sure where to begin. It was an emotional rollercoaster. I also went to France and Andorra two weeks ago. ❤️

Putting that aside, I'm off work until September so I might be around here to do stuff. I've got lots of things to do outside tumblr, honestly, so I'll try to make some time for everything. I miss you all, I miss writing, I miss your muses and our interactions. I wish you all the best summer ever and stay safe. Much love xx

I've been absent and I know I said that June wouldn't be a busy month, BUT I got the job as a web developer and my training begins tomorrow. I can't wait. It's something I've wanted for a while and it's now a reality and that demands my full attention. Since I'll be working on my laptop for this, I'll most likely get to some things this week.

pro-tip: a lot of the time, when an image off google is automatically saving as “.webp” or “.gifv” in order to stop you from using it, you can work around this con pretty easily. all u gotta do it right click and select “open image in a new tab”.

notice how this new tab’s url ends with “.gifv”? or some kind of code converting a normal image to a webp (ex: “.png?type=webp”)? literally just manually edit the url so it just ends at “.gif” or “.png”. delete the “v” or delete the code. then hit enter so the image reloads under this new url, and hit save. it should save correctly this time <3

Had this been the work of Cupid’s Arrow? Or was it that, for a change, a charming and very handsome man was being nice and thoughtful towards her? She could hear her sister Eva admonishing for it, telling her that he was a man, that this was rushed, that she barely knew him. But Mary pushed those thoughts away and just focused on Julián and his beautiful smile.

“Yeah, I can stay longer…” she nodded her head, smiling at him. She didn’t want to leave just yet, not only because she was having a great time, but because she didn’t want to go back home to the life she hated.

“Oh, yes, something to eat would be awesome” she said cheerfully. She loved to hear him speak in spanish, it sounded so attractive. It seemed crazy to him that he wasn’t married. Well, maybe he had a girlfriend. “What are we eating?” She asked curiously before sipping her drink. “Tell me more about yourself, Julián” she smiled. “Do you have a partner?” She asked, not wanting to mention that she didn’t see a wedding ring on his hand.

Her approval to stay longer with him only prompted him to think about an activity they could do before the night ended, which wasn’t one related to intimate or carnal affairs. Julian was planning to even take her out on a secret date, involving one of his favorite activities: bowling. 

But first things first, they had to grab something to eat at the bar before heading off to that place. And of course, they’d be joined by his bodyguards as soon as they left the bar, since Julian was known amongst the criminal world and he had as many allies and as many foes. He didn’t wish to be disturbed, not when he was around a beautiful woman like Mary, and he was wishing to get to know her.

Julian snapped out of his thoughts to hear her questions, eyes blinking for a few seconds. “Oh, I believe Omar is going to bring a house specialty..” Which was nothing short of Caribbean dishes. At her inquiries about his relationship status, Julian attempted to hide his smirk. Sure, he could tell about his hundred hookups with women, as well as relationships that only lasted a few months, but he’d paint it differently. “To be honest with you, I wasn’t as committed as I was before. I had my fair share of relationships, but now I don’t have anyone. I haven’t had anyone in a long time, Mary. I can be a lot to handle.” He didn’t want to scare her at all. No. He only wished to let her know - subtly, that is - that engaging with him had its pros and cons.

She then seemed to reconsider her actions and sat down again, making Brooklyn relax. He was summoned here to work, to make his family earn more money. Don’t get him wrong, he wanted her and he wanted her so badly, but this was too much, it almost felt as if she was testing him or something. He quickly took the menu and buried his face in there.

Brooklyn looked at the dishes without really looking, he just needed a moment to get his shit together. Once he was done, he put the menu down. “I’ll have the mediterranean salad” he said simply and looked back at the woman. “If we are going to work together… there should be some uh… boundaries” he said simply. “I really want to work with you, Mrs. Armani, and I want to do a good job” he told her, using his words carefully. And he couldn’t do that if she was going to be throwing herself at him like that whenever she pleased.

Elvira listened to his answer and she gave him a small nod of her head, taking a quick glance towards the menu again and then handing it to her bodyguard. “Mason, I’ll have the seafood specialty. Bring in some more wine as well, will you?” Mason gave her a nod and was quick to return to the restaurant. She waited for Mason to leave before she set her eyes on Brooklyn, a small hum leaving her throat when he mentioned setting some boundaries. No doubt, it was going to be a challenge for her to get to him and she’d have to give in to his rules in order to do so, but as long as she had him close to her, she didn’t mind what boundaries he’d set.

“Ah, do forgive me if I have frightened you, darling. I might have come off as forward, and I apologize for it. It is in my best interest that the two of us work together without any quarrels, so to speak.” If anything, it was best to apologize and then to state her intentions clearly. “I’ll respect any boundaries you set, my dear.”
