If you are hesitant to comment on AO3 because it's just fanfic and it probably doesn't matter to the writers, know that I got a one word comment ("Beautiful") on a fic nobody ever has bothered reading before and it made my night. Merry Christmas to me! Seriously, though, comments feel so good to writers! Please feed us! We're hungry!

"You have to remember, the people of Gaza voted for hamas. They voted hamas into power."
Yeah, in 2006, which is when their last election was.
And fun fact! Half the population of Gaza was under 18 at the time, and thus couldn't vote. So even if every single adult voted for Hamas (and i very much doubt that they were universally supported), then at minimum, half the population was innocent of choosing Hamas as their leaders.
And guess what else. 2006 was 17 years ago. The population of Gaza is still made up of 50% children. The two together makes it roughly 75% of people in Gaza who were either too young to vote for Hamas, or who hadn't yet been born.
""Gazans elected Hamas"" at the absolute most, 25% of the current civilians in Gaza voted for Hamas 17 years ago. Stop using that as an excuse for the genocide of every single Gazan that's now happening before your fucking eyes.

IMPORTANT

Boycott:
McDonald's
Starbucks
Disney+
Plz you can always watch the shows on pirated sites and find better alternatives for burgers & coffee, nothing is more important than stopping a genocide. It's a global boycott.

when i drink a sip of water, i think of a child in gaza who's thirsty right now.
when i fill my plate up with warm food, i think of the thousands going hungry in gaza.
when my children play and laugh, i think of the martyred and injured children of gaza.
when my husband and i share a moment together, i think of the widowed partners in gaza, alone and lonely.
when i have a headache and take painkillers, i think of the surgeries being performed on the streets of gaza without anesthesia.
when my child runs to me for comfort after a fall, i think of the babies screaming, "mama" "baba", after an airstrike in gaza.
when i take a warm shower, i think of the people of gaza who haven't been able to clean themselves in days.
when i'm about to fall asleep, i look up at the ceiling and think of what a luxury it is to not have to worry about it falling on my head as i sleep, as it does in gaza.
every moment of every day, i constantly think of the mothers, fathers, grandparents, newborns, children of gaza.
all i have are these thoughts and prayers to offer my Lord on the day of judgment - ya Allah, my heart was with the people of gaza.
it bled with them, mourned for them, and yearned for them.
every moment of every day.

So, as people are seeing the pretty extreme antisemitism in the new terf wizard game, it should be noted that this was not a case of "following existing antisemitic fantasy tropes". This was purposeful. The ex lead designer is alt right and ran an alt right "anti social justice" youtube channel. The discovery of this channel and the resulting controversy lead to him later being removed from the project late in development but the main premise of the game was determined by him and others with his views. The core concept of this game is antisemitic and fully intended to be. It is not a case of thoughtless devs or lack of cultural sensitivity. This game is intended to be antisemitic propaganda designed and developed by openly alt right devs.
