look: our neanderthal ancestors took care of the sick and disabled so if ur post-apocalyptic scenario is an excuse for eugenics, u are a bad person and literally have less compassion than a caveman

@wilberdojo and I played some sea of thieves the other day so I decided to draw our pirates and one of our adventures (I'm TheBrickening22 btw, and my cat is with me on the left 😂)

From what I heard, The Owl House (a Disney series) has a cannon lesbian relationship in it. All I know is there’s a scene where a girl asks another girl to date her and she says yes. I don’t have any idea how good the representation is but it’s a step.
at the rate we’re going, the first disney character who actually says the words ‘i’m gay’ explicitly on-screen will be in 2079
and that will be his only scene

It won’t help if you don’t have helpers but I know a lot of buildings I’ve been in have a sort of stair use stretcher in the stairwell that like 1 or 2 people have to use to help someone down the stairs. Usually bright yellow with instructions of how to use them on it. I never had to use it but I familiarized myself with the locations in the buildings I’ve seen with them just in case someone needed help.
Wait what's a buildings fire evacuation plan if you aren't supposed to use the elevator to get down

When we’re new to adulthood, it doesn’t immediately occur to all of us that you’re almost always allowed to leave a situation, because growing up we’re forced to stay in situations until someone dismisses us and/or takes us home, or if we do leave on our own accord there’s someone waiting at home to say “we don’t quit in this family!” Boring party? You can leave. You don’t like the lecture? You can walk out. New doctor not working out? You can end the appointment, you don’t need to wait for them to dismiss you. Bad date? You can just go home. Leaving a situation prematurely might have consequences, but unless you’re under arrest or serving prison time, it’s pretty much always allowed.

I found out it's Mental Health Awareness Month so I thought I'd share some feelings on mental health and how it connects to neurodiversity acceptance.
Neurodiverse people frequently don't get the support they need. This causes very high comorbidity of depression and anxiety. I grew up suffering from a lot of depression and anxiety, but now that I'm surrounded by love and support (largely thanks to my amazing partner) I actually can finally survive without antidepressants now.
Love your neurodiverse peers, they need it!
