Stripey assisting with my weaving
My littlest weaving assistant.
Not pictured: her nipping at my toes when I try to treadle, like the worlds pointiest game of whack a mole lolllll

Dinner With Ducky
Felted wool, air dry clay, childhood painting, placemat, napkin, plastic cup
A tribute to one of my childhood nannies, Ducky was and is such an important person in my life and played a huge role in who I am today. The last time I saw him he told someone that my siblings and I are the ones who taught him what unconditional love felt like.

Just had critique for this piece and one of my classmates pointed out how much gets lost in translation between the clay on the mirror and the reflected shadows and I realized that’s what I was trying to convey with this piece, having a disorder of spoken word and a disorder of written expression sometimes means that even I don’t know what I’m trying to convey with something, luckily I’ve got friends who are good at interpreting my art

Another egg for Killie! I’m approximately halfway through this weaving project that I started two weeks ago (it’s due on Wednesday aaaaaaa)
Haha holy shit
Not only is this incredibly cool, and beautiful, I’m admiring your balls to the wall approach to a deadline project like this, it’s amazing!! Good luck completing it for Wednesday.

Hey Elodie! Turns out I had the due date wrong on the weaving, it’s due today not last Wednesday which is good because I got it finished yesterday and then immediately broke a warp thread while finishing the edges, luckily mom was working on a baby quilt at the same time so we quickly threw it on her sewing machine and secured the dropped warp thread so it wouldn’t drop farther and then stabilized the edges, and I only had a bit of a breakdown (this is a lie I keep bursting into tears over it because I ruined three weeks of work in a few seconds by being too ambitious). I’m gonna have to get my teacher to help from here to try and make it actually look nice tho.
First picture what it looked like shortly before I took it off the loom, second is what it looks like now after mom and I did our best to stabilize it

I'm so so sorry that disaster struck. It's such a beautiful weaving and I've really enjoyed seeing it! I'm sure it can be repaired, but for now, you do get an egg for finishing. Even if you drop a box of eggs and break them all, they still existed and that's not nothing.
Hey. I'm sorry about this. I think you've done very well.
