Not everyone is at ease in front of the camera. Even selfie queens freeze up when they don’t have a screen showing them what they look like before they take their own photo. It takes some comforting conversation beforehand and even during the shoot. To smile or not to smile?! Do you smile in all of your photos? It’s all about the vibe isn’t it? I like to get a variety of photos from clients (if they are up for it). Sometimes I like to play along when my clients are fishing for compliments. I’m doing #headshots as usual and this guy is up next and the first thing he says is “I hope you’re good with Photoshop because I’m not that handsome”. So instead of biting, I say “No I’m not that good. I’m gonna need to hire someone because you are hideous!” 🤣 I laugh, he laughs, and immediately after he is glowing and I get a great shot of him.
