i think the saying that john has a fear of clowns is... kinda stupid!

i mean, yeah, sure, there are multiple panels showing john freaking out over anything related to clowns or harley quins, but as rose said in certain pesterlogs, it's probably johns dad attempting to understand his sons interest by making it visible that he sees the interest his son has, as a bonding method. but then john grew to think that his dad was obsessed with clowns, so that's why he was confused at seeing his dad's room to be with not a single clown thing. he isn't afraid of them, just grew out of the interest, and his dad didn't catch onto that.
