Cuba is genuinely such an inspiring and beautiful country. It's not just that its people passed a referendum to legalize gay marriage and adoption, but that it came after a year of consultation and modifications by Cuban citizens and activists which made it go way beyond just gay marriage to being one of the most progressive family laws in the world, and was itself enabled by Cuba's 2019 constitutional referendum which was also voted on by its citizens. Cuba is in lockstep with its people and that is why its revolution persists even after 60+ years of sanctions, invasions, and destabilizations by the US empire.

Yes my fave condiment genuinely is mayo LMAO to be fair! It’s so versatile ! You can add so many things to it to make it different. I love mayo and all mayo based sauces. Big Mac sauce? Fancy mayo. Tatar sauce? Fish mayo. I also LOVE chicken (it’s my favourite and most consumed meat) which also pairs well with mayo adjacent sauces (I eat a lot of chicken burgers).

what’s fucked up is the well was still there

it’s been 1000 years, a whole technologically advanced kingdom built up around it - the story so mythologised and exaggerated that the well itself only has significance to Nimona at this point, yet as dilapidated as it was, it hadn’t been covered up or replaced, just left to rot at the heart of it all

in terms of symbolism, in that moment to Nimona it represents that in 1000 years nothing has changed

Okay I don't think this is super spoilery, but man, that scene where Ambrosius goes into a meltdown rant about everything that's gone fucked up only for it to smash back that this is all in his head and outwardly he looks totally dead inside?

God knows how many times I've been the exact same way with people who are like "Why don't you ever tell me what's wrong?" because they're the reason I keep quiet.

i'm not over Nimona and I've rewatched it so many times. I know there have been other posts about the religious symbolism and comparisons between the institute and christianity, but i can't believe it took me until my fourth rewatch to notice that the 'T' looks like a cross in this scene

so i thought "oh, wow. maybe that's just the way the font always is"

but then in the next scene with Ambrosius looking at the news, the font is the same and the 'T's are normal

So i paid more attention to the fonts when text was shown, and the way the capitol 'T' vs lowecase 't' is used is very... intentional??

Maybe its been pointed out, maybe i'm reaching, but. Once i saw it, i couldn't unsee it.
