au in those 14 months where the thunderbolts decide to stay away from a certain mission (because it’s too dangerous) but bucky secretly decides to go on his own anyway and ava knows of course because she. knows. HIM. (and his desire to do and be good) so she decides to follow him, and help him whether he likes it or not, because they’re in this together.

i’m making another (sorta au) avabucky edit, but i can’t choose between which intro 😭

for option 1 i would edit thunderbolts!bucky with ava (hannah in the stranger) – it could be an undercover mission au, where bucky is still congressman at the charity gala, and ava is there undercover as a server. and i thought it would be funny to think that bucky would maybe poke fun at her that he got to wear fancy suits and she had to serve drinks to these rich people.

for option 2 i would edit tfatws!bucky with ava (and still hannah in the stranger) – the au would just be them being chaotic flirty besties (cough). for this one it’s easier to use fun bucky scenes of course.

maaaaybe i’ll write the fics some day. maybe.

The elevator doors glide shut behind them but Bucky doesn’t wait.

He slams the emergency stop with one hand, grabs Ava with the other, and kisses her like he’s been starving for weeks and she’s the only thing that can keep him alive.

Her back hits the wall with a soft thud. She gasps, but it dies in his mouth as he crushes her against his chsst. His hand curl tight around her waist, pulling her in like he’s afraid she might vanish. His lips are rough, urgent, almost frantic when he realizes she could. There’s no preamble, no teasing, just need.

“James-” she tries, breathless between kisses.

He cuts her off with another one, deeper this time, almost punishing. “I couldn’t wait anymore,” he growls, wrecked by the emotions rolling in him. “I’ve been trying to keep it together. Around them, around you, but every time you smile at me like you don’t know what you’re doing-"

She grins against his mouth, wicked and breathless. “Oh, I definitely know what I’m doing.”

He growls low in his throat, dragging his mouth down to her jaw, then to the pulse at her neck. She arches into him, her hands sliding under his shirt as her fingers splay over muscle and scars like she wants to memorize the map of him.

The elevator is still, the world faded away. All that exists is her mouth on his and her body against his. Neither of them acknowledge the camera in the corner.

“You stopped the elevator,” she whispers, breath hitching as his hand slides under her shirt and traces the lines of her ribs.

“Yeah,��� he mutters against her throat. “I’ll deal with the footage later.”

She lets out a low, delighted laugh that turns into a moan when he bites her shoulder gently.

“Oh, I do love when you lose control.”

He pulls back just enough to meet her gaze, his eyes blue and burning.with a promise that makes her breath hitch.

“Then you’re gonna love this next part.”
