My most controversial Yellowjackets opinion in that I don’t think Misty should have been wearing a perfectly fitted leather jacket all season 3. That was supposed to be Nat’s jacket, not Christina Ricci’s specially tailored jacket. She should have been rocking around in an oversized coat with sleeves she had to roll up to free her hands, and it should have been worn from years of use, and I will die on this hill.

Guys I need to speak my truth🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️ as interesting as the idea is for other Tai to be the one who burnt the cabin down, I still don’t think it makes any sense for her character. What motivation would she have to do that? Other Tai isn’t some sort of evil alter ego who does things for no reason, she is a manifestation of the things that Taissa can’t bring herself to do but need to be done for the good of her and Van. Eating Jackie, shooting Ben, trying to kill for Vans survival, even walking around at night could be her trying to find a way out (considering the last time Tai tried, Van got hurt)

I do not play about Jackie being a lesbian who experiences severe compulsory heterosexuality. That is 100% canon to me. She looks absolutely miserable when Jeff asks her to go down on him, she finds every excuse to avoid having sex with him, and when she finally does have sex with a man it’s when she’s passively suicidal, no longer believes in love, and wants to lash out against Shauna. The catalyst for Jackie’s despair and complete loss of hope is discovering Shauna’s betrayal, and when she learns that Shauna and Jeff slept together, her devastation is focused solely on Shauna.

Any time Jackie is with a man it feels like self-punishment or destruction. It’s something she’s doing to herself, not for herself. She is a character suffocated by expectations of perfection and social influence, forced to perform a version of femininity and romance that doesn’t actually fit her. Jackie as a closeted lesbian makes so much sense for her story and her tragic end. Those slumber party make outs were definitely happening.

I feel like it's kinda babying the subject like. Treating it like it's not Actually that serious. If that makes sense. And people get so upset about the word "kill" and they panic and turn it into "unalive" and they even censor "unalive" into "un@l1v3" which is unreadable.

it still makes people uncomfortable anyways because it still has the same meaning in the same sentence and conveys the same story. "🍇" is still talking about rape and "sewerslide" is still bringing up the thought of suicide.

so what's the point.

What's the point in censoring it.

Say fuck

Say shit

Say sex

Say kill

Say murder

Say rape

Say suicide

Say death

SAY IT.

SAY THE WORD.

The more you allow mere words be erased the easier it is to let real stories be silenced.
