You want to feel big witch energy? Real big witch energy?
Go out into a body of water at night. We’re talking chest deep, full moon, bare toes in the squishy dirt or sand. Play some music. Open yourself up to the glorious moon; Dance for Her.

How Do Other Deities Fit into Wicca?
As a Wiccan and Hades devotee, I often get asked how Hades fits into my Wiccan worship. This bleeds into a larger question, which is how deities from other pantheons fit into the Wiccan “duotheism” (a term I’m using loosely, and you’ll see why in a bit). Wiccans are not only allowed, but encouraged to adopt other deities into their pantheons. How can this work?
In order to understand, you first need to learn Wicca’s central theology. The Wicca believe that Divinity exists, but it is so large, so far beyond our mere human understanding, that we cannot comprehend. It is not gendered, not named, neither one force nor many. When facing this Divinity, people broke down the great force into smaller forces: the moon, death, life, earth, ocean, mother, father. All deities, then, are parts of the larger Divinity. We worship Divinity’s aspects in order to grow closer to the whole. This is also why, in Wiccan view, no religions are wrong. All deities can be worshipped, as each one allows us to understand a little more of Divinity.
In an attempt to worship as much of Divinity as possible, the Wicca created their own deities made up of ancient archetypes. This is why the Wiccan Gods are both old and new at the same time. The names are new, but the archetypes associated with each deity are old, repeated elements we see throughout all of Paganism. However, even the God and the Goddess can’t encapsulate all of Divinity. This is why other deities are often honored by the Wicca.
I understand that this probably sounds off to a lot of you. In explaining this, I’m not asking you to believe it. I’m not even asking you to accept it. I’m just asking you to understand it. This is how Wicca operates as opposed to other Pagan religions.
This being said, how other deities exactly fit into Wicca varies by practitioner and tradition. There’s much debate on how to approach different deities in the Wiccan sphere. I’m going to expand upon some of the more common ways Wiccans adopt other deities in respect to the God and Goddess. Of course, there are some theories I’m missing, but these few should expand your understanding of what exactly Wiccans are doing.
Other deities are separate entities from the God and the Goddess. In my practice, this is how I view Hades. I see Hades as an aspect of Divinity that I can’t connect with through only the God and Goddess. However, this doesn’t exclude the possibility that Hades could be connected to the God, or to the Goddess as well. Wicca embraces the theory that all deities are connected in some way, be it through their symbols or through their energy.
Other deities are aspects of the God and the Goddess. In this belief system, there’s a hierarchy: The God and Goddess encapsulate Divinity, and other deities are parts of the God and Goddess. This begs the question: which deity is a part of which God? This question has sparked a lot of debate and friction within both the Wiccan and overall Pagan community. Here are some interpretations of the theory:
The deities are divided by gender; hence all male Gods fall under the God and all Goddesses fall under the Goddess. I’m sure I don’t need to explain why this interpretation is heavily contested.
The deities are divided by symbols. As an example, Thoth would more likely correspond to the Goddess, since they share the same symbols such as the moon, bowls, bodies of water, flowers and birds.
The God and Goddess are replaced with other deities. Some people align with the core tenants of Wicca, but don’t feel comfortable worshipping deities that aren’t historically based. In this case, they may replace the God and Goddess with other deities, while still adhering to the core values of Wicca. This is often where variations of Wicca, such as Hellenic or Christian Wicca, come into play. If you’ve ever seen a Pagan author encourage you to get “a matron and a patron”, that comes from a misunderstanding of this interpretation of Wicca.
As I mentioned before, there are other interpretations of how other deities fit into Wicca. In my experience, these seem to be some of the more popular ones.
I hope you’ve gained a broader understanding of Wicca. I will politely ask to withhold angry comments from this post. While I am always happy to discuss others’ views, this is an informational post, not an “attack Wicca” post. Feel free to message me if you have any questions, or make your own post.

Just because you’re a witch doesn’t mean you have to embrace every belief out there and you’re not less of a witch for not doing so.
I think astrology is 10/10 stupid. Fun, but useless and innacurate. Some witches are secular. Others might look at crystals and just see glorified rocks. Maybe you believe in energies but not spirits.
Blindly embracing something that doesn’t feel right to you just because someone else cares about it a whole lot is for other religions and practices out there. Witchcraft is all about self, my dude.
Oh and uh. Witches, don’t shame other witches.
You do you.

Good Morning! Today is about Completion, Satisfaction, and Growth Tarot of the Day: The World
The World is an indicator of inexorable change; change that is predestined and initiated by the successful end to this cycle of your life. It is a good end to the old and a desirable beginning to the new. Look to all areas of your life today and see where things have grown stagnant and end the cycle.
This card speaks of growing maturity, inner balance, and a deeper understanding of who you are at your deepest core. It shows that you are well prepared to move forward so do not give up now. You are getting closer to who you are at your deepest core.
💚 At work, you may be working too hard for too little return. Blow your own horn a little so the powers that be can see your contributions. If you are feeling constricted by a lack of balance between pay and responsibilities, do some research on similar positions elsewhere and present it to your boss or consider changing companies.
💙 In love, this card speaks to hurdles successfully overcome. Have you and your partner solved a large problem or passed a relationship milestone? Acknowledge it for what you learned and move forward.
🧡 Whether a literal or spiritual journey, today’s path was earned through hard work and will be a life changing event. Know that the Universe is giving you what you asked and worked for so, trust it not to turn you on your head without first providing a net. Enjoy the journey. Peace out, Lovelies…

Witchy wisdom I hope to pass down when I’m old and chilling in a rocking chair
Put a penny in your shoe for luck / get better tips at work
Brush your teeth before working with the gods
Spit three times to curse someone as they walk by
Keep a broom by your front door. Turn it upside down to encourage guests to leave
Sweep dirt out the door for an extra push
Windy days = automatic cleansing
Scrubbing with coarse sea salt will rid yourself of most mild curses
Stir clockwise to bring about, counterclockwise to delay
Cinnamon quickens any spell
Omens tend to come in threes
Intuition above all else
The cards don’t lie - but you might lie to yourself if you don’t like what they say
You are scarier than any ghost out there
Whistling whips up the wind
A kiss can bind most spells
If a spell doesn’t work, try again
What you fear doing is what you should do next
Never take without first giving
There is no good or bad magic - only your own intent and moral compass
Don’t let other people tell you how to witchcraft. Self discovery is important.
If you doubt your magic, it will doubt you

How To Tell If You’ve Been Cursed
The Egg Test
Simply take an egg (obviously from your own chickens is best but uh, Im going to assume most of you dont have one so store is fine), and carefully pass the egg through the flame of a white or black candle to “draw out the bad” and set intent. Then crack into a white bowl.
If you find blood: You’re cursed! Blood is never ever a good thing to find in your eggs, but especially during The Egg Test.
If you find big white clots: The bigger the clot the bigger the problem. It usually means some kind of blockage or obstruction in your life. Sometimes from some form of bad energy.
If you find egg shell: (Now if you’re really bad at cracking eggs maybe ignore this one) but this is a sign of your generic brand Bad Luck.
If you find something unusual: Listed above or otherwise, cleansing methods (such as a salt bath) will usually clean up most problems. Do your own research for cleansing methods of choice. I would advise not to eat the egg, but rather to pass the egg one final time (in the bowl) over the white flame before disposing off it outside. If you do cook it (because hey, I get it) use protective herbs like basil or rosemary and don’t forget to salt!
If you find nothing unusual: chop onions, mushrooms, and spinach up while heating an oiled pan on medium low. Add the egg to the pan, when a yellow film forms around the side and the egg can be separated easily, fill the center with toppings and flip half over to form an omelet. Cook through, flipping as needed. Season with salt, pepper, fresh herbs, and tomato (salsa if you’re frisky). That’s my favorite way to cook an egg!

Worship for Chthonic Deities
💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀
Chthonic (or chthonian) deities are are Gods that dwell beneath the earth. This includes any Underworld deities, as well as deities that are associated with the Underworld (Gods like Hecate would be included, since They often visit the Underworld). Some of you may have noticed that there’s hardly any information on how to worship certain chthonic deities. Here, I give you some starting tips:
💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀
With most chthonic deities, offerings are usually poured down instead of sent up. This means incense is a less common offering, as you want to offer things that are poured down into the earth, where They symbolically reside. I usually offer oils (often olive oils) and teas. Other offerings may include wine, juice, blood and essential oils. I pour the physical remains into the earth after ritual–just make sure you’re not harming any nature when you’re doing this!
I know that in some pantheons, it’s common to take a sip of a drink before offering it to a heavenly deity. With chthonic deities, don’t take a sip before you offer it. It’s traditional to offer the entire drink to Them. (I got such a death glare from Hades when I didn’t do this correctly pun intended).
If you God is associated with the dead, cleaning up cemeteries and tending to old graves are GREAT versions of philanthropic worship!
Stones are often used with chthonic deities, in spells aided by Them and on Their altar. Check your deity’s symbols for appropriate stones, but in general, any dark, jagged stone works best (such as obsidian and smoky quartz).
You may make an altar to chthonic deities easily. Black, grey, metallic, and purple candles are common (depending on your God). Stones, money, any bones (or representations of bones) you have, and items passed down in your family (a form of ancestral worship) also work well on the altar!
You may create an altar to spirits of the dead or your ancestors too if you wish!
Remember that the element of earth is sacred to most chthonic deities as well. Using dirt, herbs and any other earth elemental magic works in devotion to Them.
Although spirit work is common with chthonic deities, it is not required. Again, spirit work is not required. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it, don’t.
If you do pursue spirit work, treat them kindly but remember that some spirits do lie. Pendulums, tarot, astral projection, and offerings work well as beginning spirit work.
If you don’t feel comfortable using your blood in magic, don’t. It is not required.
You do not have to be a certain type to witch, or even a witch, to worship a chthonic deity.
Do not forget to study up on your God! Learn their stories, associations, powers, and traditions. All chthonic deities are different!
And finally, but most importantly, talk to Them. Talk to Them silently, out loud in front of an altar, or write to Them in a journal (which I do all the time). They are Gods, so They will listen to you, and respond when They think best.
💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀
OP NOTE: Your worship is YOUR worship. This post is a guide for people who have had trouble finding information on worship for their deities. It is not law. You worship how you feel best, and it’ll be worth more than anyone else’s advice will.
Also, thank you for the encouragement, @daisy-witch! You’re super cool and I hope this helps! (/・v・)ノ.:*・°💀

Christian Witch Myths
“You can’t be a Christian AND a witch.”
“Christian witches can’t practice magic as effectively.”
“Witchcraft isn’t a religion, so you can be a witch and any religion…except Christianity. Can’t be that.”
“All Christian witches ‘pick a side’ eventually.’
“All paths in Christianity are the same, and they all forbid rituals, magic and mysticism.”
“Tarot is evil, you’re going to hell if you read cards.”
And on, and on, and on. Reblog if you think these myths are nonsense.

Nothing at all against Wiccans,
but I’m not one. Even though I know some really rad Wiccans, I’m looking to find some non-Wiccan witch and folk magic blogs to follow. Like/reblog/comment so we can find each other and learn from each other.✌️
Edit: Must be LGBTQ friendly. Absolutely no Nazis or Nazi sympathizers.

“Why must people kneel down to pray? If I really wanted to pray I’ll tell you what I’d do. I’d go out into a great big field all alone or in the deep, deep woods and I’d look up into the sky—up—up—up—into that lovely blue sky that looks as if there was no end to its blueness. And then I’d just feel a prayer.”
