Oh, he actually found him! He did it- Huh?

Cucumber blinked, then rubbed his eyes. Wait.. What happened? This is Inuyasha, no doubt. But he's a bit different.. His hair was pure black instead of the pale silver he's grown used to. His dog ears are gone, now having different ears on the side of his head. But, it's him. The tetsusaiga is right there. The red kimono is the exact same.

"Inuyasha?" He walked closer, sitting next to him with curiosity. Woah, even his eyes are different.. They aren't a bright yellow like they usually are, but now a brown amber color. Kinda like Almond's eyes, in a way. "What happened? You look different.."

Is this something that normally happens?

"Wh-! Inuyasha, wait!" Cucumber immediately tried to reach for him, but he was long gone. But, it's not safe in the woods here! There's monsters, after all. Probably nothing he couldn't handle, but still. What if he gets hurt?

There's probably no way he could catch up, but he can try to find him. Sure, monsters are a thing, but they're never anything serious. What he's worried about is whatever the half-demon was hiding. Something's wrong, he can feel it. So, he runs at the direction his friend went.

It would be in bad faith to leave him alone out there, no matter the circumstances.

"Worse.." Cucumber growled harshly, his hands sparking with wrathful embers. "He's obsessed with combat, enjoys the bloodshed and brutality like a sick creature. He uses the dead as his allies, ripping them from their peaceful slumber like a disgusting vulture." The venom he held in his voice was so potent, it's almost shocking that it didn't poison the count. His stomach twists at the memory of meeting him at the end of Spashmaster's defeat..

You're like my friends..

"I'm NOT." The power was growing more out of control, the very earth creaking and shaking at the volume of his voice. The air felt so cold, yet it burns at the edges of his fingertips.

Despite him growing.. calmer.. That cloak didn't shift back. It stayed in that villainous green. Threatening to wipe the whole Melody Kingdom off the face of Dreamside if pushed once more. "Just.. Don't go near him. I'll take care of that one."

Cucumber nods to confirm, almost eagerly. "Y-Yeah.. Though I wouldn't say the wrong path! This means that I can still fix things or maybe even stop this constant reviving and sealing! I can finally solve this problem! It's so relieving that finally, someone knows. Someone's in my corner.." Never had he felt so happy. It felt like a miracle. This is it, he can do this! And maybe he can fix this without HER always interfering and constantly telling him that fixing the problem, wanting PEACE, is wrong.

"Another thing, you should avoid the Legendary Hero in this cycle. He's.." His cloak sparked up again, dangerously cackling with green lightning at the mere mention of him. This one.. This one is bad. Every other hero was a threat, always has been because of the Dream Sword. But, this one wasn't a hero in his eyes. He was a twisted swordsman who hungers for violence like a ferocious beast.

He hated him so much. The minute he harmed the Ripple Kingdom's prince, no.. The minute he almost snuffed out her family line, he became an enemy.

People will not always respond right away.

I feel like we don’t have enough PSAs about this. Some of us work full time. Some of us are deep into our masters degree. Some of us have families.

And that is okay.

No one is expected to make this a full time effort. No one has to respond in five minutes. Muse is as finicky as can be and effort should not feel like a mountain.

Didn’t respond to me in five days? Don’t worry. Disappear for a month? You’re okay. Our threads will be there.

Please don’t ever feel like there’s a fire under your ass. Enjoy writing. But enjoy your life more.

The Nightmare Knight's been summoned 100 times over and over again! And again, and again AND again! I tried to stop the cycle by talking to him about peace, I really did but then he got SLAIN and I made a stupid, stupid, STUPID mistake.. Oh god, It's been so hard..."

Cucumber visibly crumbles, staring at the floor with a wide look of hollow defeat. Completely still compared to his constant shaking a single minute ago. Like an unblinking statue.. "I've been sent back in time, in the Nightmare Knight's place. I tried talking, I really am trying. They. Won't. Listen."

She won't listen.

The magic became more unstable, his hands sparking slightly with fire. The eerie green cloak bristled with danger. Slight cackling of electricity..

"But!! You remember! Everyone only knows the Nightmare Wizard, me but you know! You didn't get affected by the time spell!" And in a snap, the static fades. He springs to life, rushing at Legato with a bright grin. "I-I'm so glad! I'm so glad someone knows the Nightmare Knight! D-Do you know me?! Oh wait, you weren't alive b-but maybe..?! I-I'm still me, I'm not dead! Right?!"

"I always liked birds. Whenever I held one, I liked to stare and examine every feather possible. Seeing them up close like that is always a treat, despite them not moving much."

Hesitation. He almost reached out his hand, only to halt it. Afraid of what would happen next. Would she wilt, dissappear? Will he somehow hurt her just by hugging her? He wasn't sure. Fear held into his heart. The last time he even let someone hold his hand, she almost died.. Which, sure, there was a big difference in form between his old friend and Zelda, but.. The concern lingers.

He almost accepted that offer. His boots take one step forward, wanting to hug and sob his eyes out. He hasn't done that in so long..

"Pecan?"

Panic strikes into his heart. No, no, it's morning already?!

In a moment, he casted a spell on himself. Shadows covered his figure for a brief moment until fading into.. A normal bunny child. One with brown hair and eyes, paired with glasses and a small shawl that resembles a pecan shell. Well, aside from the white diamond in the middle. He turns to the figure walking out of the shadowy forest and into the clearing.

Another bunny child, one who looked similar to the Nightmare Wizard with his red hair and green eyes. His attire was also clad in green, and he held a sword that stayed kept away on his back. Along with another sword in a blue scabbard...

This one, this sword held extremely powerful light inside. But, it seemed to be sealed away by the blue scabbard. Yet, for a sage like Zelda.. It's clear that the sword was extremely powerful. For a kid to have something like that.. "Pecan, there you are! I got worried when I saw you weren't at camp!" He said happily, before noticing Zelda.

"Oh, hello miss! What's your name? I assume you aren't from around here? My name's Zucchini!"

He looked up at her, shocked. Really? Is that allowed?? He's been so scared on his own. Having no idea what he needed to do, how he would go about reversing it.. And now, being chosen as part of the Legendary Hero's party due to the Oracle's carelessness.. Can he really open up? Especially to someone who will very much be gone next cycle?

"I.. " He trailed off, trying to blink back tears. The charade, the Nightmare Knight's burden that he unwillingly took.. It's suffocating. Heavy and painful. It would be unfair to let her share it, even if it was only to listen. The constant charade of being a villain hurt, it made his whole body ache.

He shouldn't be burdening her. This is his fault, his mess. He can't possibly expect someone else to help clean it up. He can't do that. He's not even technically alive, just pure magic. No heartbeat, no blood.. Nothing but magic and shadow.

"... I-I'm not even supposed to be here.."

It hits harder hearing it straight out of his mouth instead of tucked away in his thoughts. The walls he made to keep all his grief and despair inside were beginning to crack. How.. How did the Nightmare Knight do this? How could he go through this constant sealing and revival over and over again? And when he finds himself in that exact position, unknowingly.. Why was it expected of him to just take it? To not have any assistance.

Why was he expected to want more pain because of his horrific mistake?

Nightmare Knight?

Cucumber's eyes went wide with shock... and relief? Happiness? He didn't know or bother to be aware of what expression he had, there was something more important to acknowledge. Legato remembers. He remembers the Nightmare Knight. The thought of that made him feel ecstatic, his hands can't stop shaking! Someone remembers..! Someone remembers the Nightmare Knight! He's not the only one!

"You said Nightmare Knight, right?? Nightmare Knight?! Not Nightmare Wizard?!" Oh, he's so happy! Someone on Dreamside remembers him besides the Disaster Masters! Someone different, who isn't stuck in this stupid, awful cycle! Cucumber takes a step forward, letting out a bit of laughter. "Oh..! Oh, thank goodness! I thought- I really thought nobody on Dreamside would remember! But, you do! You remember!"

That cloak shifts to an odd color, a mesh of a venomous green and a gentle pink. It's like it didn't know what it should be. "Thank the stars! M-Maybe, it's not too late, after all! I-I can still fix this! I can fix it! Yes! Yes, yes, yes!"

He covers his face, trying to hold back everything. All the burdens and curses he had to shoulder. All the frustrations, the anger and hatred to their so-called protector and the agony that came with being revived, only to be slain again. And again. And again. Again and again.

"You have no idea how glad I am to hear his name again from someone else's voice! I-I regret so much, I don't-! I don't know where to start..!!"
