Im really frustrated right now. my mom only lets me do things its if therapy.

It makes me feel like she sees me insane.

all I ever focus on are grades, keeping a clean home, and my mental health.

Believe it or not going to therapy nonstop is worse than not going at all. because soon enough, you identify as your mental illness.

All I am is depression. anxiety, ptsd, 

I wish I could stop how this feels. nobody mentions it. Maybe im just crying out for help. And I hope a loving group of people will give me advice on how to address this to my mother.

oooh I know ice students are typically hard and resistant, cold and calculated etc. , but could we get some hc's about an ice student who's super impulsive?? acts on emotion rather than logic, cries hotly at frustration, anger issues, loud and maybe even annoyingly so, kind of stuff?

I have a lot of feelings about this. I hope this is good? I tried to include as much stuff as possible. Warning for swearing.

They don’t have a lot of friends in the ice school.

Of course they don’t, they don’t fit in, they can’t play this game because no one taught them the rules, because even if they do know the rules they don’t follow them.

Fuck the rules. 

They make friends from every school. Storm students are some of the nicest. They will fight for their thaumaturge friend, they’ll make art and build things and be wonderful friends.

They’ll befriend necromancers regardless of whether it’s socially acceptable or not, and they’ll have an awesome time being taught the ins and outs of NightSide. 

They’ll have myth and life friends, balance too. They’ll have friends who will understand the pain of not fitting in properly, and ones who will encourage them to be themself.

Friends from the pyromancy school are some of their favorites though. Pyromancers love to ‘corrupt’ ice wizards, and the thaumaturges love to let them.

They get angry, and it’s not some icy rage that incites fear. It’s punching a wall and whining about broken knuckles, it’s breaking nice things without thinking because sometimes they can’t control themself and it’s not their fault.

They plan pranks and jokes instead of studying, because sometimes they think it’s better to enjoy themselves than try and fail. They’ll read for fun, and sometimes they’ll read educational stuff because they still love to learn, they just hate the competition, they hate pretending to act like school is the only thing worth caring about.

No one will tell them, but they’re much stronger than most of the others. They’re kinder and more vulnerable and they’re so much stronger.

They laugh in class, they make people who are just starting their ice secondaries feel at home, even if it’s at the expense of eye rolls and mean comments whispered just a bit too loud.

Greyrose could never hate them, because she knows the game but she isn’t about to play it. She moderates, makes sure her students are safe. 

Sometimes in the middle of class, when they realize they should’ve studied because they feel stupid for not knowing this stuff, because they’re gonna fail and their peers are going to look at them with a distant disappointment, with barely enough emotion to count as actually caring, they start to cry. They stain the ink on the page with their tears, make it blur and warp until it’s unreadable. 

Some of the crueler ice wizards laugh quietly, and watch it like a spectacle, but Greyrose will always step in to help.

“Well dear, it looks like your test is ruined. I suppose you’ll have to retake it next week.” Greyrose will say with a knowing look, smiling. 

And the ice wizard will smile because they know they belong here, even if it isn’t with their peers, but they belong in this school.
