I’m sorry, but beginning in January, I will have to go on hiatus due to leaving for deployment. I would love to keep working on these, but I won’t have any internet for 8-10 months.
I will do any requests I receive while I am gone when I get back.
Much love!

For neo-ryker
House - Gryffindor
Wand - Ebony wood with Dragon Heartstring core, 12 1/2 inches and supple flexibility
Patronus - Common Buzzard (Buteo Buteo)
House
Gryffindor
While Gryffindors may be known for their bravery, there is so much more to this noble house. Bravery can come in many different forms, whether it be the bravery to go into a dangerous situation to protect someone, standing up for what you believe in, or even the strength to look inside one self and confront the flaws. This house is also very chivalrous with a strong sense of justice. If they feel something is wrong, they will do everything in their power to make it right, damn the rules. But when they do break the rules, Gryffindors are not the kind to make excuses to get out of consequences. If they do something wrong, they will own it. Gryffindors are also deeply empathetic and will protect those in need. Deeply imbedded in this house is a sense of adventure, and they love the thrill of life.
Wand
Ebony wood with Dragon Heartstring core, 12 1/2 inches and supple flexibility
Ebony Wood
Ebony wood is the happiest of the woods, and is for those who aren’t afraid to stand out. This wand loves those who have set beliefs and goals and are dedicated to them. Owners are hardworking, but can be cynical. Notable owners include Severus Snape and Sirius Black.
Dragon Heartstring
This core, while very powerful, can be temperamental. This core learns quick, and is capable of extravagant spellcasting. Although not as loyal as other cores, for this wand can be swayed if won from the original owner. This core is also the most easy to persuade to use the dark arts.
Notable owners include Bellatrix Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy, Hermione Granger, and Ollivander Himself.
12 1/2 Inches
Longer wands, 11-14 inches, tend to be drawn towards those with large personalities and dramatic styles. Or those who, frankly, are tall. Longer wands tend to have more power, but less control. These wands work well for those who are selfless.
Reasonably Supple
This type of wand can take some time to warm up to an owner, but will be very loyal and any other caster will have to prove their worth. Owners are patient and kind, but they do have a limit and won’t allow themselves to become a doormat.
Patronus
Buzzard
Buzzards are natural observers. When in conversation, the casters may prefer to sit and listen to others. While some may think this means they have little conversation skills, they actually are quite charming and have wonderful persuasion skills. Just like the buzzard watches before the dive, casters are very goal oriented and have a pin point focus on their goals and ambitions. They are logical thinkers and can outsmart their way through any situation.

For mystical-unicorn-lady
House
Slytherin
Of course Slytherins are Ambitious and Cunning. We will find any way to turn a situation to our advantage. We are very proud people and when something does offend us, we will not retaliate outright (Like a Gryffindor) and would rather store that information until 1. We can either get our revenge and not get caught, or 2. Use it to our advantage. Very few things will get us to start a fight in the light when we haven’t anticipated the outcomes. We are very ambitious and determined, and once we have a goal in mind, we will stop at nothing to reach that goal (unless the tides change and we change that goal). We also very charming and can make many friends. Whether they be true friends or acquaintances that we can connect with to get closer to our goal, is to be determined.
Wand
English Oak with Unicorn Hair Core, 12 1/4, slightly yielding flexibility
English Oak
A wand for good times and bad, this is a friend as loyal as the wizard who deserves it. Wands of English oak demand partners of strength, courage and fidelity. Less well-known is the propensity for owners of English oak wands to have powerful intuition, and, often, an affinity with the magic of the natural world, with the creatures and plants that are necessary to wizardkind for both magic and pleasure. The oak tree is called King of the Forest from the winter solstice up until the summer solstice, and its wood should only be collected during that time (holly becomes King as the days begin to shorten again, and so holly should only be gathered as the year wanes. This divide is believed to be the origin of the old superstition, ‘When his wand’s oak and hers is holly, then to marry would be folly,’ a superstition that I have found baseless). It is said that Merlin’s wand was of English oak (though his grave has never been found, so this cannot be proven).
Unicorn Hair
Unicorn hair is the most consistent of the cores, and while it may not be the most powerful, it is a very reliable core and the most faithful. The wand has a feeling of a calm and peaceful energy surrounding it, passed down from the Unicorn the core is from. This wand will remain attached to their first owner over anyone else and it is also the most difficult to turn to dark magic. It is such a pure force, like the unicorn itself, that if mishandled it can ‘die,’ requiring it to be replaced. Owners have good instincts and tend to trust their heart over their head. Owners are also extremely loyal, such in the cases of Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy, both owners of Unicorn Hair wands.
12 1/4 Inches
Longer wands, 11-14 inches, tend to be drawn towards those with large personalities and dramatic styles. Or those who, frankly, are tall. Longer wands tend to have more power, but less control. These wands work well for those who are selfless.
Slightly Yielding
A wand with this flexibility will initially resist new owners, but if the owner is persistent, it will warm up eventually. It is particularly good for spells involving potion-making, animal-taming, and defensive magic, although, it may have a little bit of difficulty with nonverbal magic. Wand owners with slightly yielding wands are often very kind and compassionate, but they may have some reluctance in trusting others since they possess a strong sense of skepticism. It usually takes a lot of strong arguing before the owner of this wand will believe claims that don’t make any sense to them.
Patronus
Crow
The crow is a very well-known bird that some believe is an omen of dark magic. But if this is your Patronus, don’t fret! The crow is very resourceful, ambitious, and cunning. Once they set a goal, they always seem to get what they’re after. Crows are also fearless. Regardless of what sort of creature they find in the way of their goal, they will do anything they can to overpower it. They are also very smart and have been observed using tools to achieve their means. Crows are naturally resourceful and have had a place in many mythologies, namely Norse or Greek. The crow is a sign of Odin, for he is all knowing and sees through the eyes of crows. It has also been associated with Apollo, the Greek god of the Sun, Music, and divination.
Happy to help!

Wand
Sycamore Wood, Dragon Heartstring Core, 14 1/4 Inches, Surprisingly Swishy
Sycamore Wood
This wood is best for those with a sense of adventure. It is eager to continuously gain new knowledge and experiences, so much so that if it gets “bored” it can decide to throw a temper tantrum and spontaneously combust. But when paired with someone who has that spark for adventure, this wood will learn and adapt to any challenge it’s owner may face, and they will both return stronger than ever.
14 1/4 Inches
Abnormally Long wands, 14+ Inches, usually go to owners who are either, extremely tall (in Hagrid’s case - 16 inches), or they have great self esteem. Owners of these wands crave recognition and the chance to exhibit their skills. A fault though, is that they also tend to overlook their own flaws and once they learn to accept these unbecoming characteristics as flaws and how to overcome them, they will become more powerful in character and skill.
Surprisingly Swishy
Swishy wands are for those who take time to get out of their shell, but once they do, people are overcome by how charming they are. They are fun and bubbly, and can adapt to anything life may throw at them.
Patronus
Beagle
Beagles are inquisitive, free spirits yet still very loyal to those they love. While they may be distractible, beagles are hunting hounds, specifically small game like rabbits. When on the hunt, they become fixated on their goal. This can be the same with casters for once they realize their purpose, they will let nothing break their concentration on that goal. Beagles are a very vocal breed and will let everyone know what they think. (I actually have a beagle mix back at home and she will never fail to let us know when she wants something.) They are happiest when surrounded with friends and are always unapologetically themselves. A kind, energetic breed that always brings joy along with them.
I hope you enjoy! All I ask is a repost so I can keep receiving more of these to research! <3<3<3

Casters will know what they want in life and will have the strength and passion to claim it. Black bird Casters are quiet thinkers and enjoy stimulating conversation covering everything from philosophy, theology, and everything in between. They are wonderful listeners and will engage any conversation with a quiet, analytical mind. Phoenix Feather Core
The rarest core type. A very detached core and hard to earn the loyalty of. Extremely picky with who they choose. This can be transferred to the owners in slipping in and out of friend groups. This core is capable of the greatest range of magic but will not show its true capabilities until is trust is won. Once it is won, the wand will not waver in its loyalty to its owner. Wand
Alder wood, Phoenix Feather core, 10 inches surprisingly swishy
Alder Wood
While it is an unyielding wood, the owners of alder wands are quite helpful, considerate people. Alder is notable in this aspect, because while other wands prefer those with temperaments similar to their own, Alder prefers someone completely opposite. Alder owners contain a sense of vibrancy within them. They wish to experience life in its fullest, gleefully helping others along the way.
Phoenix Feather Core
The rarest core type. A very detached core and hard to earn the loyalty of. Extremely picky with who they choose. This can be transferred to the owners in slipping in and out of friend groups. 10 Inches
Medium length wands, 9-10 inches, are the perfect balance between control and power. While shorter wands boast more control in spells, and longer wands more power, this range manages to balance the two.

Wand
Apple wood, Phoenix feather, 11 3/4, rigid
Apple wood
Though this kind of wood is few, it is very powerful and suited for those with lofty ideals and high goals. Because of that, it works very poorly with dark magic. This kind of wood tends towards owners who may not mature quickly, but are very charming. It also connects with languages and knowledge (sometimes being gossip). But those who own this wand believe in change and growth, and will give those around them as many chances as they need to learn and grow. This wood also has the claim that owners will be long lived due to the myths and legends where apples are a source of immortality.
Phoenix Feather
The rarest core type. A very detached core and hard to earn the loyalty of. Extremely picky with who they choose. This can be transferred to the owners in slipping in and out of friend groups. Longer wands, 11-14 inches, tend to be drawn towards those with large personalities and dramatic styles. Or those who, frankly, are tall. Longer wands tend to have more power, but less control. These wands work well for those who are selfless. This flexibility of wand only gives its loyalty to those who have experienced great tragedy. It works well practically, but is not for “silly wand-waving” as Snape puts it. Owners are cautious and take time to trust others, but they are not unkind.

Wand
Hazel wood, Dragon Heartstring core, 12 1/4, Unyielding
Hazel Wood
This wood is very sensitive, and among the most sentient of the wand woods. This wand works best for those who understand and can manage their own emotions. Owners be wary of using this kind of wand if recently subject to emotional turmoil because it can absorb that energy and release it unexpectedly. This wood is also extremely loyal, and in the event of its owner’s passing, it will “wilt” requiring the core to be taken from the wand and replaced in a new one if still needing to be used. If paired with unicorn hair, the core swapping will do no good and the wand will “die” once the owner passes. Wand owners are comfortable in positions of authority, for they are eloquent and wise.
Dragon Heartstring Core
This core, while very powerful, can be temperamental. This core learns quick, and is capable of extravagant spellcasting. Although not as loyal as other cores, for this wand can be swayed if won from the original owner. This core is also the most easy to persuade to use the dark arts. Notable owners include Bellatrix Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy, Hermione Granger, and Ollivander himself.
12 1/4, Unyielding
Longer wands, 11-14 inches, tend to be drawn towards those with large personalities and dramatic styles. Or those who, frankly, are tall. Longer wands tend to have more power, but less control. These wands work well for those who are selfless.
The wands flexibility goes towards adaptability and a willingness for change. Once a wand of this flexibility adapts to its owner’s preferences, it will not change. Owners tend to be very confident in themselves and the things they believe in. The owners can be seen as arrogant for their insistence that they are right and will rarely admit when they are wrong. These wand owners are determined and set in their ways.
Patronus
Black Swan
Black Swan casters are incredibly emotional. They are passionate, and empathetic. They are also very loyal but require time for those around them to earn that loyalty. They are very forward people and will give those around them their honest opinion. These casters thrive in a warm loving environment and will feed back that loving energy. On the flip side, if placed in a emotionally cold environment, they will also return that energy with a passion.

Hagrid deserves better.
Okay, can I just talk about how unfair the world was to hagrid? Like first off they treated his dad like shit because he fell in love with a giantess. Then he gets to go to school where they kick him out because some weird ass preppy Slytherin was prettier than him and was a full wizard. Hagrid literally took in a creature that would not have survived if not for him. Aragog was too small to live on his own in the forbidden Forrest at the time and we all have accepted that newt gave Argog to hagrid so he wouldn’t have had the instincts to survive because he had been domesticated pretty much his entire life. So hagrid takes this creature that no one else would want, tries to help it, and gets expelled from school, gets his magic taken away from him cause they snapped his wand, all because they didn’t like that he was half giant. Like they didn’t even really investigate they were just like oh, the half-giant 13 YEAR OLD murdered someone? Cool let’s kick him out of wizarding society. And then he gets to live at hogwarts cause dumbledore decided to feel remorse for one thing in his life but still literally doesn’t help him even after they have FUCKING PROOF of the chamber in Harry’s second year. Like they had a fucking snake carcass in the basement just fucking take some pictures of that shit and be like yo I’m dumbledore I dueled grindelwald and here’s ya proof get my boy his wand back but fucking no. Instead he makes hagrid feel indebted to him and makes hagrid feel like dumbledore is so good for giving him a job and treating him like a normal fucking person that he listens to dumbledores every whim. Plus while hagrid is teaching that class he gets bullied by FUCKING TEENAGERS for NO REASON! Like he tries to make these classes fun for these students and yeah he may not be the best judge of danger because he’s kinda stronger than these kids and he always has been. These creatures aren’t as dangerous to him because he’s half giant so it’s not his fault that he doesn’t understand why the kids are so scared. And he also doesn’t understand people that well because HE WAS LITERALLY KICKED OUT OF SOCIETY BECAUSE A HOMICIDAL MANIAC USED HIM AS A SCAPEGOAT AND THEN A CONTROLLING WANNABE MERLIN FUCKING USED THAT TO MAKE HIM FEEL INDEBTED TO HIM SO THAT HE WOULD HAVE THIS BIG TOUGH GUY WHEN VOLDEMORT CAME BACK. And then when Voldemort did come back, hagrid was chained and used as bait for someone whose parents he knew when they were at hogwarts. Someone who he picked up out of the rubble of his home after his parents were murdered. Sirius literally trusted hagrid so much that he gave him his enchanted motorcycle and LET HIM TAKE HARRY. Because we all know that if it were someone else, Sirius never would have let them leave that house with Harry. But no instead he gives him one of his most prized possessions so that he could take his newly orphaned godson away from him because he trusted hagrid. And then hagrid was the one to find that little boy and bring him back into the world that his parents loved so dear and he gets to watch him grow and struggle and then he has to carry that boy’s dead body out of the forest while he is in chained by the man who used him as a scapegoat and crushed his hopes of becoming a wizard. And after all of that he is still the kindest character in the series. Hagrid deserved better than that. He is the best character because after all of that he never used Harry. He was one of the adults in Harry’s life that only wanted the best for him and didn’t use him. Hagrid deserves more love.

Passport Analysis
So I’m trying to start doing passport analyses for the wizarding world website so I’m gonna start with myself and would love for people to send me theirs so I can continue researching the world.
House
Patronus
Rattlesnake
Rattlesnakes will not attack until it is absolutely necessary. While fierce, they would rather wait for an opening to attack rather than charge right in. When they do attack, they are fast and deadly. They will use that opening to their advantage, and as soon as it is gone, they will retreat to prevent further harm to themselves. They will ensure they have control of the situation, and once they lose that control, they will know when to flee rather than fight.
Another symbol that can be seen within the snake is transformation. Shedding their skin and becoming new. In us, this can be seen as knowing when we need to let go of a past version of ourselves and not being afraid to move forward to a newer better version.
Wand
Holly and Phoenix Feather Core, 12 1/2 inches, Unbending Flexibility
Holly
Holly is a rare type of wood used in wands due to its volatility. It is considered a protective wood, and works well with people who need help overcoming a tendency towards anger. It varies drastically depending on the core, and is hard to team with a Phoenix feather due to the detached nature of the creature. If done improperly, it can tend to explode. If they do match, nothing and no one will stand in their way. It is extremely loyal, and very temperamental. But those who are chosen by this kind of wand are said to be on some kind of spiritual quest. There are also wizards tales of those with Holly wants being romantically incompatible with those with Oak wands, notably “When his wand’s oak and her’s is holly, then to marry would be folly.” Also, according to European tradition, the “holy” tree is known to repel evil. This type of wand is for those seeking to be a major player in the history books, someone who would loathe being forgotten with time. They seek to contribute to society and would not be happy with a 9-5 job.
Even after it’s owners death, the wand will not act for another easily. Also the most initiative of the wand cores, and will act on its own accord in stressful situations. The owners tend to be very intuitive and will trust their gut more so than other people sometimes.
12 1/2 inches, Unbending
So yeah, this is what my research on my passport has determined! I had a ton of fun researching these and would love to do more!

11/10 Draco and Harry have a great relationship, the story is funny and serious and sweet. Snape makes a great dad for Harry and it’s just all around a good story.
- You’re a Parent, Severus (series)
By acmparker
225K WIP Ao3
Young!Harry, Rewrite, Severitus, Remus/Snape
Severus Snape had formed a Blood Bond with Lily Evans when they were at Hogwarts. This means that when Lily dies there is another whose blood relationship with her is recognized by the blood ward Dumbledore places on Harry. Severus Snape decides to check on how the Dursleys are treating Harry, about a month after Lily's death, and isn't pleased with what he finds. With the help of Remus Lupin, Severus has been caring for Harry ever since.
10/10 Kind of halarious considering Severus has to pretend to hate Harry at school and Harry does everything he can to give it back to him. Plus Remus makes an adorable mom, and it’s hilarious that Severus and Remus pretend to be dating in front of the entire school.
- Forgiveness and Redemption (series)
By waitingondaisies
130K COMPLETE Ao3
Disguised!Severus, Severitus, Child Abuse
After Severus is discovered as a spy, Dumbledore tasks him with going undercover as a gryffindor student under the guise of finding out if Harry is mature enough to handle the information of the horcruxes, in reality he does this to help med Harry and Severus’ relationship.
9/10 very in character writing. Wonderful characterization and and interesting storyline.
- The Definition of Home (series)
By Oliver.Snape
78K COMPLETE FFnet
Post OOTP, Deaged!Harry, Severitus, Child abuse
Harry runs into Snape while trying to find the definition of home, and finds himself drawn into Snape’s Order mission to learn more about Voldemort’s past at the orphanage.
9/10 A good story, but nothing makes it stand out to me. Young Harry is cute, and Snape and Harry’s interactions when he’s his older self is really funny. The sequel, The Definition of Family definitely adds to the story and makes it much better.
- Bruised Words (series)
By Starknjarvis
49K WIP Ao3
POA, Severitus, Sirius/Remus
When Harry runs away after blowing up Aunt Marge, Severus picks him up from the Leaky Cauldron and takes him in.
9/10 The first work is quite short, but the sequel, Blackberry Tart is quite good. Sirius and Remus have a very adorable relationship and having Sirius and Severus have to get along for Harry’s well-being is a fun interaction.
- Arms of a Dark Angel
By Snapegirlkmf
232K COMPLETE FFnet
PS, Severitus, Rewrite
Before Lily died, Severus made a promise to take care of Harry but to not let anyone know. Throughout his childhood, any time Harry was sick, Severus would take care of him. It wasn’t until Harry’s first year at Hogwarts that he finally figures out who his Dark Angel is.
9/10 A really good story. The way Severus take care of Harry as a child is adorable and I love how Harry warms up to Severus once he figures out who he is.

an introductory rec list (that nobody asked for) for some of my favorite (platonic and/or romantic) pairings: severitus [2/10]
First fic I read for the pairing: Of Potions and Phobias by tt22123 [1k,G] Severitus story with nightmares [i stumbled on this fic on accident and it was short and sweet (and a little bittersweet at the end).]
Fic that really sold me on the pairing: Leo Inter Serpentes (Series) by Aeternum [746k,E,6 works] (WIP) Just one conversation between two eleven year old boys goes slightly differently, and the world changes. Just how much will be different with Harry being sorted into Slytherin, and how much will stay the same? [i will never not recommend this series: it’s amazing, it’s well-written, it’s true to all the characters and relationships and it feels more canon than canon (of course, it’s also significantly more gay than canon but i said what i said).]
Absolute favorite fic(s) for the pairing: Nobody Cared by etherian [360k,G] Harry is 11 years old and looking forward to attending Hogwarts. Why, then, does he miss the Welcoming Feast? (warnings for: child abuse, bullying, depictions of violence) [this fic is really well done (but has a lot of angst and definitely mind the warnings above (although the author doesn’t include warnings on the fic)).] Family Means More Than Blood by WingsOfADream [422k,M] A prophecy made in 1975 drastically changes the life of the boy who should have been known as Harry Potter. [this is yet another fic with a really well-written and fascinating plot with excellent characterizations and plot lines. i definitely would recommend it to someone with a lot of time on their hands.]
Most recent fic I’ve read for the pairing: Blackberry Tart by starknjarvis [33k,G] One year after Severus Snape offered to become Harry’s legal guardian, Sirius Black shows up at Hogwarts. [the fic is a part of a well-written and pragmatic series and this fic also includes the development of a remus & severus and a sirius & severus friendship so that harry can have a larger and supportive family and i’m living for it (i believe the exact tag that the author used was “coparenting with your childhood nemesis” and i am living for it).]
Favorite AU(s) I’ve read for the pairing: Alternate Sorting AU (Slytherin!Harry): Malfoy Flavor by Vorabiza [199k,E] Harry’s ready to banish the Golden Boy image and take charge of his life. Unfortunately for him, or fortunately, there are surprises in store for him. [Slytherin!Harry but it’s not an entire canon rewrite like most of the alternate sorting fics i love so much, so that’s fun. also drarry and just the right amount of painful but realistic angst. oh and it has a delightfully fluffy little sequel.]
Favorite Series for the pairing: Forgiveness & Redemption by waitingondaisies [130k,T,2 works] Severus Snape was discovered as a spy mere days before the start of the school year. Thankfully, Albus had been working on a vague contingency plan for this possibility. It had been inspired by the question, “What would it take for Severus Snape to see that he was wrong about Harry Potter?” The answer? Force Severus to go undercover as Alfonse “Eli” Hopkirk, a sixth year Gryffindor. (that’s technically the summary for the first fic but i think it serves well enough in lieu of a series summary, which the author did not provide. also warnings for child abuse.) [this series is such an interesting concept and it feels very realistic in how it played out and i’m honestly here for it.] You’re a Parent, Severus by acmparker [210k,G,6 works] (WIP) When Lily got home from her first year at Hogwarts, she found a new distance between herself and Petunia. As a result Severus and Lily became even closer to each other over that summer. The next year Lily found a book in the Hogwarts Library that describe an ancient ritual for creating a blood bond that would make two unrelated people kin. She convinces Severus to undergo the ritual with her and they become brother and sister. This means that when Lily dies there is another whose blood relationship with her is recognized by the blood ward Dumbledore places on Harry. To Severus Snape’s chagrin he finds himself the last line of defense between Harry and the forces of the Dark Lord. (again, no series summary but i think this works well enough.) [i love a good remus and severus friendship plus severitus so this series really works for me. and it’s a canon rewrite (love those).] Bruised Words by starknjarvis [49k,G,2 works] (WIP) After Harry blows up Aunt Marge, Dumbledore decides it’s not safe for Harry to spend the rest of the summer at the Leaky Cauldron, and instead sends him to stay at Spinner’s End with Professor Snape. It’s tense, awkward, and teeming with misunderstandings…but it might be the best thing that’s happened to either of them. They’re both been without a family for a very long time. (apparently all my favorite series aside from Leo Inter Serpentes, which i’ve already listed above, don’t have series descriptions, but the first work’s description seems to work well enough. also warnings for child abuse.) [this is the series that blackberry tart belongs to and may i just say: it’s excellent and well-written and pragmatic and i would recommend it.]
Longest fic I’ve read for the pairing: A Year Like None Other by aspeninthesunlight [789k,T] A letter from home? A letter from family? Well, Harry Potter knows he has neither, but all the same, it starts with a letter from Surrey. Whatever the Durleys have to say, it can’t be anything good, so Harry’s determined to ignore it. But then, his evil schoolmate rival spots the letter and his slimy excuse for a teacher intercepts it and forces him to read it. And that sends Harry down a path he’d never have walked on his own. It will be a year of big changes, a year of great pain, and a year of confronting worst fears. It will be a year of surprising discoveries, of finding true strength, of finding out that first impressions of a person’s true colours do not always ring true. It will be a year of paradigm shifts. And from the most unexpected sources, Harry will have a chance to have that which he has never known: a home … and a family. A sixth year fic, this story follows Order of the Phoenix and disregards any canon events that occur after Book 5. (warnings for: graphic depictions of violence, self-harm, severe medical trauma) [the fic has some really dark parts but the plot is so intricate and fascinating and the relationships and dynamics are excellently written and the characterizations are spot on and i would definitely recommend it to anyone with a lot of time on their hands.]
Fic(s) with some of my favorite tropes: Sickfic + Hurt/Comfort: When He Called Me Dad by MarauderChaos [31k,Not Rated] It was only however as the end of his second year did Severus collect enough evidence and enough of his own courage to step in. The boy looked as though the world was ending when Severus brought him to his private quarters to see Madam Bones, and for a moment Severus felt the world was ending when someone recommended him as guardian. But that was how it ended, with Harry Potter becoming the ward of the Potions Master. It was kept a secret from the press and the students of Hogwarts – even his own Godson didn’t know, mainly because Lucius was bound to hear of it if he did and Severus didn’t want to risk their lives. They had their ups and downs, screaming and shouting, hexes and slamming doors, crying and hugging, laughing and actually having fun. But there was one moment that Severus would always remember, with its own fair share of good and bad, was the time he called him Dad. [i’m a sucker for hurt/comfort and accidental revelation of feelings, which in this case is the strength of harry’s platonic feelings, and this fic has all that so… yeehaw.] Accidental Bonding (but make it platonic): Love is… (series) by atiaahmed [133k,G,4 works] (WIP) This series revolves around how Snape starts to care about Harry because of a charm put on him by Ron and Hermione. The first story “Love is a charm” explores how their relationship changes because of the charm and what happens when it expires at the end of the year The second story explores how their relationship develops after the events of “Love is a charm”. In “Love is a haven” other paternal figures, namely Lupin and Black will threaten Severus position with Harry. [i kind of like the platonic severitus take on one of my favorite hp tropes tbh and i like the way that their relationship develops and the realistic trust issues and such.]
