Hey! I'm a light-skinned black, bisexual, 20 year old female and I've noticed that I get less matches on Tinder than my white friends... I'm trying to not let it affect my self-confidence but I'm highkey emo rn. Do you have self-love tips?
Self-love and confidence is an ongoing practice. It’s completely normal to have low periods. But comparing yourself to others can be dangerous to your emotional and mental well-being. Also, be wary that you are possibly internalizing western hegemonic beauty standards.

Do u think race is a big factor in getting matches on Tinder?
Based on the experiences people have shared, we think that race is a factor if people wanted to pursue more long lasting relationships. On the other hand, people will swipe right on anyone they find attractive regardless of race if they only wanted hookups.

Any memorable experiences from Tinder?
• A guy grabbed my breast in public on a tinder date
• Went on a date where a guy sang Sam Smith “I’m not the only one”
• One guy once said, "Are you a terrorist? Because you look bomb af." At first, I thought he was just an idiot who used that line on anybody. Then, I asked him if he used that line because I'm South Asian. He said yes.
