This is my new blog that I am setting up to write about all the books I love. From the ones I have to read over and over till the pages are falling out of the book to the ARC's that I receive to read and review. WARNING:All reviews/opinions given on here are open and honest. There will also be some books reviewed that are NSFW. I will try to categorise everything properly so that the books can be found by genre.This is a sideblog to showmewhattodo-resources. All of me (Inside out #6) - Lisa Renee Jones
                        BDSM - Romance - Erotica
Goodreads
{ In the sizzling conclusion to Lisa Renee Jones’s bestselling Inside Out series, Chris and Sara finally embark on the road to marriage—but will the threats from their pasts steal their joy? Sara and Liam have fled to Paris to escape the aggressive reporters covering the explosive scandal of Rebecca’s death. But a long-time heartache from Liam’s past awaits him there, and he finally allows Sara in fully as he shares his grief with her. Seeking peace, they spend some time at his chateau in the countryside, planning their Valentine’s Day wedding, then return to Paris for a magical Christmas. And when they go back home to San Francisco for Rebceca’s memorial service, other broken connections are made whole again. Healing is finally within reach…until a surprise visitor right before the wedding throws Sara into turmoil. Will they ever be totally free of their pasts? }
This really was a perfect ending to Lisa's series and really it gave me the conclusions I wanted and needed. It also opened up more new doors for Ella's story and possibly another person's story if Lisa decides to go there but all I can do is sit and hope! (Because I really want it!!!)
You get your beautiful wedding, and it was perfect. You get the final answers of what you wanted to know about, you get bridges built and friendships mended and I honestly can't say much without spoilers.
I was so thankful when I got the email from Lisa's assistant Emily with the ARC in it so I could read and review this because since I found the first novel in this series at a second hand book store, I fell in love with the series.
I am sad to see it all end and we wont get any more stories for Chris and Sara or Mark and Crystal - I do hope they make their appearances in Ella's story though. But I am satisfied with how it ended and that is a hard thing to get from me. I hate endings!
This review will also be scheduled to post on the 26th January when I have been asked to post it on my blog. Though I will be posting it on Goodreads earlier than that.
For you Lisa, for giving me a perfect ending.. 5/5

Driving Lessons - Annameekee Hesik
                        FF Romance - LGBT - Young Adult
Goodreads
{ Abbey Brooks has recovered from her end-of-freshman-year heartbreak and has vowed that this year, her sophomore year at Gila High, will be different in every way. Her to-do list: get her driver’s license, come out to her mom, get (and keep) a girlfriend, and survive another year of basketball. As always, though, nothing goes according to plan. Who will be there for her as her plans start to unravel? Who will bring her back to life after another round of heartache and betrayal? These remain a mystery—even to Abbey.  But one thing is for sure, she’s not confused about who she is. And that is going to make all the difference. }
This is one of those books that you will always find a way to relate to the mail character. Even if you're not gay/lesbian there is always something that you will find in this book that you will relate too and that to me is a good book.
The characters were well thought out and well written and once I had finished the book I found out there was more to the story so I am not going to be getting the author's other books because I enjoyed it that much.
Fast paced gook, easy to read and it sucks you right in!

Asher's Fault by Elizabeth Wheeler
                        MM Romance - LGBT - Young Adult
Goodreads
{ The day fourteen-year-old Asher receives a Minolta camera from his aunt Sharon, he buys the last roll of black-and-white film and takes his first photograph—a picture of a twisted pine tree. He’s so preoccupied with his new hobby he fails to notice his dad’s plan to move out, his increasing alienation from his testosterone-ridden best friend, Levi, and his own budding sexuality. When his little brother drowns at the same moment Asher experiences his first same-sex kiss, he can no longer hide behind the lens of his camera. Asher thinks it’s his fault, but after his brother dies, his father resurfaces along with clues challenging Asher’s black-and-white view of the world. The truth is as twisted as the pine tree in his first photograph. }
I really loved this book. It was raw, full of emotion and took you on a journey from start to finish. I always enjoy reading coming of age, coming out, learning about yourself type stories. They are usually so full of emotion and everything else that it always leaves you craving for more.
The author managed to pull this story off so well and I really look forward to looking into more of her work and seeing what else she has to offer.

Owning Violet (The Fowler Sisters #1) - Monica Murphy
                             Romance - Erotica
Goodreads
{ “I’ve moved through life doing what’s expected of me. I’m the middle daughter, the dutiful daughter. The one who braved a vicious attack and survived. The one who devoted herself to her family’s business empire. The one who met an ambitious man and fell in love. We were going to run Fleur Cosmetics together, Zachary and I.
Until he got a promotion and left me in the dust. Maybe it’s for the best, between his disloyalty and his wandering eye. But another man was waiting for me. Wanting me. He too has an overwhelming thirst for success, just like Zacharyperhaps even more so. He’s also ruthless. And mysterious. I know nothing about Ryder McKay beyond that he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before. One stolen moment, a kiss, a touch . . . and I’m hooked. Ryder’s like a powerful drug, and I’m an addict who doesn’t want to be cured. He tells me his intentions aren’t pure, and I believe him. For once, I don’t care. I’m willing to risk everything just to be with him. Including my heart. My soul.
My everything” }
I have to say I LOVE it when a book captures me straight away. I only started this book last night and I only stopped because I fell asleep whilst reading only to pick the book back up as soon as I could and only just finished reading it then. I really did enjoy this and Monica set the story out to flow so well and with beautiful writing. Very detailed but not so detailed that you get lost. I was really interested in this when I requested it on NetGalley and when I got approved I was excited.
The characters, it is hard to not love and hate them and all the other things that Monica makes you feel towards them. There are times you want to go up to Ryder and just slap him so far for being silly. Same with Violet but the two of them grow so well and with each other and I really hope that they make an appearance in book 2 that will be released next year. (Have totally put that on my watch and buy list!)
All in all I would definitely recommend this and it is now on my list of books I have to purchase and I will be looking into the author's other novels also. If an author can suck me in within the first chapter in one book, it is likely they will do the same with their others.
5/5 for you Monica for a great start to this series!

Twice Shy (Restraint #1) - Jill C Flanagan
                             Romance - Erotica - BDSM
Goodreads
{ “Leaving Cutters Creek was the best thing Stacy Jones ever did. Returning is the last thing she ever wanted to do.
Unfortunately it’s her only option. If she wants some questions answered, she needs to go back and confront her mother. If she doesn't get the answers she needs, her whole future is at stake.
Eight years ago she ran away when the guy she loved betrayed her in the worst possible way. She’s healed from those wounds but can she ever forgive?” }
This was another book I got approved from NetGalley and as always I went in with an open mind and I was quite surprised with this one. It did start a little slow but it picked up and just as I was getting really into it - It was done!
I really liked the back story of Stacy and with all the other characters involved I wanted to know MORE. I want to learn more about West and Tim's relationship, about what Sarge gets up to when he visit's them, more about Stacy and Bren and I would love to have stories of other people around the club (I recently read a series that was based around a BDSM club and I loved it and I would love to see more series like this.) I also wasn't too sure how much I would like it since it was the first book I have read that is based on a Domme and her submissive rather than a Dom and his submissive, but I really did enjoy it.
With it only being 63 pages (that's what my e-reader said.. goodreads say 74 pages) I feel it needs.. more.. there was a lot in it but I think there is a perfect set up there for it to become a larger novel and also into a series.
I definitely enjoyed this and if there were any more added to this series I will be reading it.

Simply Pleasure (#0.5 House of Pleasure) - Kate Pearce
                             Romance - Erotica - MxM
Goodreads
{ “MASTER OF SEDUCTION
Ten years as a sex slave in a Turkish brothel have left Val Sokorvsky a master in the art of erotic seduction. But even as he offered his body, he never offered his heart. Now that he is returning home he wonders what kind of welcome he will find. Only one person understands his pain and Val is helpless to resist the passion he feels for Peter Howard, his English lover…
MASTER OF SUBMISSION
Peter learned to survive his years as a sex slave by coaxing and teasing his lovers to the heights of sexual ecstasy. But there is only one man he’s ever loved, one man he can never take as his own. Returning to England may save him from captivity but it may also take away Val, the one man to whom he’d willingly give his body and soul…” }
After reading this book, I soon realised that to make proper sense of it all I may have to read other books within this series. Though Kate Pearce is a good writer, I often felt a lost while reading this book.
It started off alright, there were times I really wasn't sure what was going on but I was able to go with the flow of things. Then there was a three year time jump and things just went downhill from there with trying to keep up with it all. I got the overall gist of the story and what happened between Val and Peter and I do like their story but I think that they need a full sized novel and for it to not be as.. jumpy? I think that is the word I am looking for.
For people that have already read other book in this series, I think they would enjoy it more than I did since I have not. I received this book as an ARC to read and give an honest review.
I am not sure I would recommend this without having first read other books in this series, which is something I am considering.

I belong to you (Inside Out #5) - Lisa Renee Jones
                             Romance - Erotica - BDSM
Goodreads
{ “Master…
Being that person, that man is how I define myself, how I allow the rest of the world to define me as well. And now, with a terrible loss shredding me inside out and someone trying to destroy my family to punish me, control is more important than ever. It is everything. It is what I need. It is all I need. Or maybe I just need…her.” }
This is a book I have been WAITING for. I discovered Lisa's books a few months ago after finding book 1 to this series at a second hand store. After reading it I got the e-books and god through them all one after another and fell in love with that world and the people in it.
To truly understand this book I would suggest reading the other's in the series first. You will get the back story of everything else that has happened and why they are looking for Ava and why Mark and Crystal need the protection and such.
I was so excited to get this ARC, you have no idea how much I was jumping up and down when I recieved my email to say that it was approved. It was an amazing conclusion to Mark and Crystal's story and everything that we wanted answered was put out there and even more on top of that. I do hope with how it ended though (TOTAL SQUEAL MOMENT... yes I am 26 and I can squeal at moments in books) That the two of them get mentioned in the final book of this series which is Chris and Sara's wedding that we are all hanging out for.
Also for those that are wary because the book does contain erotic/bdsm scenes.. it is not just what these books are about (Yes granted it is a part of the storyline and without it the book would be missing something... but you know what I mean... the book is more than just that)
Also the suspense of just WAITING for what we know will happen... but just not HOW.. and add into that a few surprises thrown in here and there and from start to finish this book sucks you in. No boring bits! (I don't think the author know's how to write boring bits.)
All in all it is another amazing novel by this woman and I have already started to suggest the books to friends (I even lent out my physical copy of the first book... which is something I don't do often.)
Added bonus - the series is going to be adapted into a tv series soon enough. Check out Lisa's webpage for more details!
If there are any question's that you wish to know about this book, I will answer them as clear as I can without giving out spoilers.

Anna and the French Kiss - Stephanie Perkins
                             Teen - Young Adult - Romance
Goodreads
{ “Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.
But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?" }
If you are looking for an adorable, cute, romantic novel that will leave you with that goofy grin on your face the entire time you read it (apart from a few smaller... sadder parts where you want to go back to the happy parts!) then this is your book!
It is an easy read and it flows so well. Once again this was suggested by a friend and I think it was a great novel and I am happy that I took the suggestion and read it.
The main characters grow throughout the novel - i love character growth and though its only a short novel, it really comes across properly and both Anna and St. Clair have stolen my heart with this story. I want to know more about them now and how they go about their lives after this book.
Either way this is a definite recommend if you enjoy books in this genre. From early/pre teens to whatever age you are enjoying it (I'm mid twenties and you can tell by my reviews that I enjoy a wide rage of books.)
I am definitely going to check out Stephanie's other novels after this also.

Fever Series - Karen Marie Moning.
                                   Urban Fantasy
Goodreads
{ “MacKayla Lane’s life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she’s your perfectly ordinary twenty-first-century woman.
Or so she thinks... until something extraordinary happens.
When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death–a cryptic message on Mac’s cell phone–Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister’s killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed–a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae.. }
First let me just say WOW.
It has been a long time since I had read a novel and I was sucked right in and was unable to predict what was going to happen. Karen is an amazing writer who manages to lure you right in from the very start of Mac's story.
I am so unbelievably happy that I listened to my friend when she suggested that I read this series. I was wary because I had recently read a few other Urban Fantasy novels and I was somewhat disappointed in those - but with this series. God I think I had the first 6 novels read in a few days and god I wish I could keep going - lucky after a very long wait her next installment is due for release in January and you bet I will be ignoring the world on that day.
But back to the book. The main character of the original books Mac... I LOVE the way she grows throughout the books. She starts off as this sweet southern belle and by the end of the first five novels that are mainly her story.. she is a force to be reckoned with and her story is not over yet.
The other women in the series too - like Dani.. oh Sweet Dani.. I loved her from the start and I love that she is the new protagonist in the new books. We get her as the narrator a few times in the first five novels and the sixth novel is her story.. and oh god it just made me love her more. she is such an in depth character with so much to learn and honestly Karen just leaves me screaming out "I NEED TO KNOW MORE!!!"
As mentioned before also - I often figure out how a novel/series will end before i've even read it. In one case I had figured out a series by book two of six novels and the writer had only written four of them at that stage. The Fever series was in a league of its own. There were surprises at every turn and it was always leaving me gobsmacked at what she would come up with next.
For you Ms Moning. You get Five Stars because your writing reignited my love and passion for reading and reminded me that there are amazing stories out there that I need to read.
If you have not read this series, please go and read it! Also there is an amazing soundtrack that goes with it and I listen to it at least once a week.

The One - Belle Ami
                                   Romance - Erotica
Goodreads
{ “How well do you really know the one you love? An erotic novel full of obsessive love, dark secrets, and unquenchable lust, Belle Ami’s The One proves that no one is quite who they seem.
Adelia, a rising star in the equestrian world, is still reeling from her parents’ deaths in a tragic car accident when she meets green energy investment banker Miles Bremen and his charming yet inscrutable twin sister, Karolin. With his insatiable lust, Miles ignites a passion within Adelia she never knew existed, and the two quickly find themselves entwined in a torrid affair that knows no bounds. Little does Adelia know, however, that her meeting of the Bremen twins was no accident. Carefully selected as “the one” for her unsettling resemblance to the emotionally and physically damaged Karolin, Adelia is targeted to marry Miles and bear the children that Karolin cannot have.
The One is a razor edge mystery that enfolds on the playgrounds of the super rich, from Trump Tower to the Hamptons and Palm Beach; to the Amalfi Coast aboard Miles’s mega-yacht Green Way, The One is irresistible as the reader is drawn into Adelia’s journey through a suspenseful – and erotic world. An edge-of-your-seat thriller that will leave readers breathless in more ways than one, The One is an irresistible journey through—new territory that fans of romantic fiction are bound to love. }
This novel was one I came across and thought there was no harm in reading for an honest review.
Though I enjoyed it all round, there were some things that just left me a little unsatisfied. It was at times a little hard to figure out what was going on and I was left confused. I was continuously going from a state of enjoying the novel to being confused about it.
All round I think it is all personal preference to the reader, I have read other reviews and seen that a few others have felt the same as I have and there are others that love it to the moon and back.
I would recommend it to anyone that was interested in this genre so they would be able to make up their own mind on the sexiness of this novel.
It is also a part of a series and I think that if I were to read the second novel that I might get some answers to the questions I was left with at the end.

Masters of the Shadowlands series - Cherise Sinclair
                                               Romance - Erotica - BDSM
Goodreads
{ “In the exclusive Shadowlands BDSM club, the title “Master” is given to only the most powerful, experienced, and skilled Dominants.
However, although each Master may have played with many, many submissives, no training can prepare a Dom for falling in love.” }
This was a series that REALLY surprised me. I read the first book out of curiosity as it was suggested to me and from there I continued to keep reading through the series. When it comes to a book series for me if the first one does not capture my interest, the rest of the novels will go unread. Well I managed to complete the entire series within a few days with this - loving the original plot that spreads throughout the series and each individual story that comes with it.
It all flows so amazing together and though each novel is based on a certain couple - you still don't miss out on the other people that you have already read about and fallen in love with. You still get their stories even when its not focused on them.
And when it comes down to the sexy stuff, it is straight out sexy! Cherise puts everything down in fine detail and since it is based on the BDSM lifestyle she also implements the safe, sane, consensual that goes with it. I also really did approve that she posts a letter to her readers at the start of the novels explaining that yes the timelines are a little rushes - this happens in fiction, but in real life you have to make sure that you fully trust anyone that you consent and submit to. She honestly does care about her readers and I think that is a smart thing - women can take fiction and build unrealistic fantasy's around them and end up hurt.
In the end I would recommend this series to anyone that is interested in BDSM Erotica with the romance and even some action thrown in there! There are extremely sexy men and cheeky women and a story that will keep you wanting more.
P.S. Cherise I want more stories! You need to keep writing for the Masters!

Bound to submit - Natasha Moore
                                               Romance - Erotica
Goodreads
{ "Mason's dark good looks and domineering personality give Kelly all sorts of forbidden fantasies that frighten her. When she agrees to help out at the community Halloween haunted house, she never expects to be tied to a bed, playing damsel in distress to Mason's masked, whip-wielding villain. Kelly can't run away from Mason this time. He knows she's fighting her sexual needs and he hopes that a few hours of playing out her fantasies with him will prove to her that bondage — and Mason — are nothing to fear." }
This short novella is somewhat intriguing. It has it's steamy moments between Mason and Kelly with light BDSM. I would have much preferred it as a full length novel with more back story/ storyline for the characters because just as I was getting into it, the book ended! The constant interruptions were a little annoying while they were at the haunted house and such but I am happy with the fact that Kelly did not just cave in and forget all her issues with feeling that it was wrong. Some stories make things like that unbelievably fast and the fact that Kelly didn't just forget those things the instant he touched her was something that was more believable to me.
I think i would read it as a full sized novel to give it a go. Moore has a great flow happening with her writing and I quite enjoyed this novella.
