My name is Ameer and I am 3 years old. My father’s name is Mohammad, my mother’s name is Rana, and my little brother’s name is Taim, who is two years old.

Six months ago, I used to go to the kindergarten and play and have a lot of fun.. and learn letters and numbers.. and play the kindergarten games. My life was very sweet.. and I had a very nice room in our house with my bed and toys.

On 12/1/2023, they bombed our house and we came out injured. My father broke his leg and my mother also broke her leg. I was shot in the back. My brother Taim was shot in the face and hands. We emerged from under the rubble, thank God.

But our house was destroyed and our whole life was destroyed. My toys were broken, my room and my bed were destroyed. And the kindergarten that I used to go to was destroyed and turned into ashes.

We left our house and went to live in the tent that my father had brought us. The tent was very disgusting. It had ants, cockroaches, and insects. We started getting sick and coughing every day. The sound of the missiles from above the tent was very terrifying and scared me and my brother Taim a lot.

My mother cries every day because she does not know how to make us food, because there is no food at all, and because there are no sanitary supplies for my brother Taim when he defecates.. and she is very afraid of the sound of the Jewish missiles and says that we will all die in the tent.

I want to ask you.. I want you to help me, my father, my mother, and my brother Taim.. We want to leave the Gaza Strip so that we can continue our lives.. so that I can return to the kindergarten that I left.. and so that my future and the future of my brother Taim are not lost. Our entry into Egypt cost us 20,000 US dollars.

You ever think about how Pran bravely ran in to save Pa from drowning and how that (subconsciously at least) taught Pat to be brave and run in to help people in trouble and (how that funnily enough is one of the reasons Pran loves Pat and) Pat being brave and open with his love opened up a part of Pran that finally helped him be brave and open with his love?

You ever think about Pat needing to talk about every single thing he feels and yet knowing not to prod when he knows Pran just can't bring himself to express it? How he fought against his instinctual reflexes all because he loved Pran?

You ever think of Pran getting over years of suppressing his love and denying himself and fighting against his own self and the years of brain washing to finally accepting the love Pat offers but being terrified that people would find out and yet deciding to fuck all that because despite all that he still cares about Pat more?

You ever think about Pat being unable to repress his feelings and needing to communicate and how when Pran eventually started getting over his fears he also started communicating and expressing himself, forgoing self preservation and thinking of Pat?

You think about Pran's feelings running after Pat unexpressed and unspoken and how Pat literally runs after him when he sees him leave? How Pat is always the one running after Pran and yet the moment Pran knows Pat is upset he proceeds to leave cute notes all over the house, make him meals, drops everything and runs home to just be there for him?

You ever think of Pat growing up in a house where he's taught to be a certain way to hold up the family name, to keep up his father's legacy (yeah right i'll fck u up ming u fckass), to be all macho and alpha and unsentimental and how Pran is somebody in front of whom he doesn't have to be or do any of that? He can just be pretty baby boy who wants to be kissed and babied and fed and Pran will just do that for him?

You ever think about Pran having to grow up repressed the hell out and how Pat just comes and brings music into his life, joy into his life, wraps him up in his unconditional unwavering kindness so much so that Pran can't help reflecting the same back to him?

You ever think of the infinitely many ways PatPran make eo better, ways one can't possibly capture in a few words or instances, ways both hidden and public that forever kept changing them over and over and over again all throughout their lives?

You ever think about how they loved inspite of those changes, because of those changes, but also before any of these changes?

You ever think about how their love and their bond and their friendship overlaps and undercuts and envelopes and weaves through almost every single thing they have ever done, every step they have ever taken, every choice they have ever made?

You ever think about how you can't ever really know exactly just how much of Pat is in Pran and how much of Pran is in Pat cos they've been intertwined ever since the very beginning of time and will continue to be intertwined till all end of time or are you normal?
