I don’t usually vibe with this sort of concept, but something about this fandom/these characters is making it oddly appealing, so what the hell: Age-swap AU.

Woo Foo masters Yin and Yang have to train their brilliant-but-lazy student Yo to fight the forces of evil. He’s massively talented in a technical sense (he can master pretty much any move Yin or Yang tries to teach him in a few tries), but his willingness to actually use any of those moves to fight evil is… low. For the most part, he’s far more interested in using them to show off. (…ugh unless someone’s really in trouble, then he’ll mobilize. But expect a lot of childish griping once the danger’s passed!)

The Night Master Yo first has to face is Yuck, the ancient archnemesis of his two masters (kind of bolstered by the fact that they kinda created him when they were students. Instead of embodying darkness, Yuck’s preferred niche seems to be death? He’s got a grim reaper aesthetic going nowadays, anyway - no one really knows what that’s about. His ultimate goal might even be to turn everything undead.

Yo also has to dodge the unwanted advances of Edna (who’s totally not a spy), and deal with run-of-the-mill loonies like Eradicus, the Malevolent Griffin Scouge!! (who’s more of a pathetic annoyance then anything; maybe if he actually applied himself he could be more formidable, but as it stands he’s too scatterbrained to be much of a threat.).

Is there some sort of continuation of your 'Love'em Day' fic? It was amazing!!

So I got this ask [checks watch] four years ago; seems as good a time as any to finally answer it, yeah?

As it presently stands, Anon (if you're still around, please forgive me for my eternal sluggishness), there's not a continuation for this particular fic, no. At least not one that exists outside of my head. I had plans for one, though! I wanted to re-write the finale of season 1, albeit this time with Yuck helping out the Woo Fools (because THAT'S HIS GIRLFRIEND, and he's gonna be there for her come hell or high water dammit!!) all while STILL trying to keep their relationship a secret from Yang.

Meanwhile Yo's getting the Woo Foo drained out of him by his boyfriend (heh moment to immaturely snicker at the euphemism I just accidentally created); said boyfriend is treading a weird line of like... apologizing, because the process clearly isn't comfortable for Yo, but also being like "look we agreed I'd still be doing this, don't be mad at me just because you miscalculated and now you can't do anything about it! look at it this way: you'll finally get that retirement you wanted! this is good! once this is all over I'll get you a pretzel or something and you can turn in early, don't look at me like that-!"

It'd be really fun to write a companion piece for this work since I'm in a YYY mood, particularly considering Valentines is coming around again. Maybe not of all this specifically, though. Maybe something a bit lighter. I don't know. We'll see.

Based on Night Master eepy headcanon I've found on @woofools 's blog, it shows that N.M will end up gravitating someone and it makes him into a bat-burrito! I thought it looks adorable to be snuggled up with a scary tall goth bat demon boi. Here's a drawing of Bellaire Lighteniera being gravitated and snuggled up by your favorite bat demon!

Hi there! Opinions and headcanons on Yo x Night Master?

Opinions: Overwhelmingly positive. Befitting a show who's main characters are named after the symbol of duality, I think they'd compliment each other wonderfully. This even extends to a visual sense, considering they're both primarily black and white, with complimentary accents (green and red). Also I'm trash for an enemies-to-lovers dynamic.

Headcanons: I've got a couple from meme asks, one where I go off the rails theorizing about Yin and Yang's parentage, and then this isn't technically a headcanon or strictly for the ship, but I think it fits. (For this being probs my fave ship for this show, after going through my blog to find stuff I'm realizing I don't talk about it much).

If you want any specific kinds of headcanons that aren't among what's up there, feel free to send in another ask!

DUDE SOMEONE SHOULD DESIGNS THE VILLAINS FROM YIN YANG YO AS NIGHT MASTERS THAT WOULD BE SICK AS FUCK OMGGGGGGGGG

I mean all they did for Ultimoose's Night Master design (pardon, Night Mooster design, far be it from me to leave that bit of idiocy off the record) was put him in bat!Night Master's clothes. Not much extra designing necessary, really. Just imagine all the other villains in black cloaks with bat wings and red face makings. XD Personally I think this whole show could use a redesign - like complete overhaul - but that's just me.

[bonking forehead against desk] I want to read a fic that deals with what we’re not shown but had to have happened during the span the Night Master was training Yin and Yang for the Martial Ball Tournament. I want commentary on what Yin and Yang thought of the Night Master before they knew who he was. I want to see the Night Master have to - for want of a better term - “play nice” so as to not give himself away. I want to see a dynamic form knowing full-well it’s going to be ripped apart.

Unfortunately this is a highly self-indulgent request of a fandom that consists of ten people at most, so if I want it I’m probably going to have to write it myself.

But I’m lazyyyy the universe conspires against me and me specifically.

What did Saranoia keep GP/Frped around for, exactly? She was paying him (a point of contention between them is that she refuses to give him a raise, even) but like... for what? He doesn’t help with any of her schemes beyond acting as a literal accessory, and she never listens to any of his suggestions (or when he’s voicing common sense)... Was it literally just so she could use him as an accessory? Did she just enjoy having a man be forced to do whatever she told him to thanks to her misandry? Both??
