hey did you know??? that if you stop stretching and maintaining mobility in your body then it goes away?? things get tight and you can't move the way that you used to??? and when you decide to try getting a stretch routine going that the first week fucking sucks because you keep going 'damn i used to be able to do this no problem' and then you have to switch gears and be kind to yourself and just focus on getting better from here instead of berating yourself for dropping the good habits in the first place??? and your body never stops aging so you gotta keep taking care of it and sometimes you gotta take care of it extra in certain areas because of things that happened when you were younger and it's boring and sometimes hurts but it's so necessary???
i am yelling this at myself right now i am going through An Experience (trying to get into a routine of body maintenance again for my physical and mental health)

CSSNS Get to Know Me!
Please welcome @blonde-of-sherwood , a new shipmate and beta for Captain Swan and CSSNS!
How long have you been in the CS/OUAT fandom?
I only recently watched the whole show through for the first time this past year but I did watch the first season when it first came out. Just took me awhile to catch up!
When did you start shipping Captain Swan?
I remember when they first kissed and thinking I might like these two but didn’t really watch them enough to know anymore. I just kept an eye on them via Tumblr over the years before I fully dived into the Captain Swan rabbit hole.
What drew you to this event?
I’ve been reading fanfiction for years and I thought for once I would actively participate in some way rather than just being on the sidelines again.
For our betas: Who/what have you beta’d before, or is this your first time? Feel free to give as much info as you like.
I’ve been a beta years ago in another fandom but this is my first time for Captain Swan.
What are you looking forward to most about participating in this event?
Reading and seeing all the great fanfiction and fanart that everyone will be creating.
We’re very happy to have you with us @blonde-of-sherwood ! We know you’re going to be a wonderful beta for the event!

It’s absolutely wild to me that girls and women are expected to wear bathing suits that look like that. That in some cases don’t cover more than underwear. And when inevitably they feel uncomfortable having their whole ass and thighs out around strangers, we treat it like this is a self esteem issue that should be solved through body positivity. Maybe we should focus less on trying to force people to believe they should be comfortable exposing themselves and more on, idk…. normalizing bathing suits that allow some dignity? Male swim trunks literally go almost down to the knees. You have to go to a speciality store or order online to find a suit designed for women like that. And for that matter, even cisgender men shouldn’t be expected to feel comfortable walking around shirtless in public.
If you like the standard swimsuits and enjoy wearing them, good for you. It’s just absolutely wild to me that that’s the default we presume everyone should be comfortable in.

I personally wanna see less 'you are not a burden/it's not work to love you' and more 'you are worth the work it takes to love you.' I KNOW I'm a burden sometimes. that isn't such a terrible thing! humans are strong. we can carry burdens. and it is work for me to be there for my friends, but it's work I'm willing to do.
we need to acknowledge this because pretending love isn't work will never make people like me feel less guilty for accepting love. we need to talk about it so people don't feel bad for having boundaries and not always being up to do the work. we need to accept it so we can properly appreciate what others do for us and what we're doing for them.
yes it does take work to love you. but guess what? you still deserve love, and you deserve people who are willing to do the work to love you. it doesn't make you bad. all love take work. and everyone is worth it.

i hate that every time i look for color studies and tips to improve my art and make it more dynamic and interesting all that comes up are rudimentary explanations of the color wheel that explain it to me like im in 1st grade and just now discovering my primary colors
