Friday, July 12th: Hello everyone, I’m Gemma and I’m really sorry to be asking this again so soon from my previous post, but due to some chargebacks on my PayPal/Bank acct, I’m now back in the negative and I desperately need help with my bills and to get groceries.
As most of you are aware, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefits (U.C & Housing Benefit) being revoked, under the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And due to my mental health and some unfortunate DWP mess-ups, my benefits have been on and off sanctions for over a year now. I am currently waiting for the DWP to send me for a medical assessment (I received the medical questionnaire on July 4th), which I am hoping will fix my benefits and offer me more assistance, as I am unable to work due to my persistent low mood and fatigue.
However, the process and paperwork for a medical can take weeks and often months to go through (I have been waiting since January). And due to immense stress and anxiety to make ends meet, my mental health has quickly declined. To make matters worse, a few weeks ago my unemployment advisor, who is consistently mishandling and misplacing my medical sicknotes, lost my medical lines and due to this, further sanctions have been temporarily placed on my benefit. Which means the £128.88 I used to receive on a monthly basis has been put on hold until the issues can be resolved.
These past few months have been such a struggle for me, and with no income, I’ve been relying on the kindness of others to get by. However, due to overdue bills, chargeback, and late fees, it’s been difficult to stay out of debt and all previous donations have gone to help me pay my rent and my most urgent bills and despite this, I’m still really struggling to get in groceries as I had to throw my old ones out due to water damage in my kitchen causing my refrigerator to break.
I’ve also added some new items to my wishlist, basic kitchen stuff + cheap appliances (microwave/toaster) to replace my broken ones. I’ve also got quite a few bills that I still have to pay; tax, phone/internet bill, and my electricity bill before they get cut off, so I’m really struggling to get by and desperately need help.
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody is obligated in any way to donate or buy anything off my wishlist if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling.

Thursday, March 21st: Hi everyone, my name is Gemma and I’m so sorry to ask this again but I’ve exhausted all my options and I desperately need help to pay my rent, which is due next week.
As most of you are aware, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefits (Universal Credit & Housing Benefit) being revoked. And due to my mental health and DWP mess-ups, my benefits have been on and off sanctions for over a year now and that I am currently waiting for the DWP to send me for a medical, I’m hoping that this will fix my benefits and offer me more assistance.
However, the process and paperwork for a medical can take weeks and often months to go through. And so far, I’ve been managing to get by with the help of some of the kindest people in the world but right now, I’m living off partial benefit payments of just over £100 P/M, which will all go towards my rent but I’m still £300 short on making my rent and I need another £178 for my utilities. (£478 needed altogether) I know that this is a lot to ask, but I have no one else to turn to.
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life and keep me warm and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody is obligated in any way to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling. Thank you for your help 💖

Urgent: please help!!
March 13th: Hi everyone, I’m so sorry to ask this again but would anyone be able to send me a few £’s to help me buy some food and medicine? I feel like death and could really use some help!!
For the past few weeks or so, I’ve been feeling incredibly weak and haven’t been able to eat much due to myself not being able to afford food and the small amount food I do have, it has been difficult for me to hold down. It feels a lot like a head cold or the flu and I don’t have any medicine to help with my fever or any food of nutritional value to ease my stomach/take my antidepressants (Sertraline) with and I’m feeling increasingly unwell.
