originally it was intended that if multiple covers by the same artist were submitted, there would a preliminary poll deciding which would compete, so that only one cover by a single artist would end up in the overall bracket. however, a shocking number of submissions so far have been “duplicates” that would need to be eliminated before the competition could start. maybe it’s ultimately more representative of the covers people hate to let certain artists show up multiple times? i’ll let you all decide in the week leading up to the start of the tournament :)

hate a comic book cover and want to complain about it? hate a comic book cover and find it hilarious? hate a comic book cover and wonder how it ever got approved and printed? well, regardless of how you feel about it, i want to see.

rules & guidelines:

- any category of “badness�� is acceptable, i.e. bad anatomy, bad coloring, poor composition, poorly executed concept, misogynistic or otherwise ooc character portrayals, unfunny jokes, tracing or art theft, etc.

- for fairness, only one cover per artist will compete in the tournament. if multiple covers by the same artist are submitted, there will be a preliminary vote to determine which one will compete.

- though not necessary, feel free to submit propaganda alongside your cover if you feel that additional explanation is needed.

- please be civil, both to submitters and to the artists that created the covers featured. it’s okay to have differing opinions about what looks good, and this is meant as a lighthearted competition to enjoy looking at some goofy comic book covers, not as an attack on an artist’s entire career or character.

- this specific tournament only covers (ha) dc comics (including dc imprints). if you submit a cover created for another publisher, your submission will unfortunately not be considered.
