Chrysler Valiant Charger R/T E49, 1972. The Charger was an instant hit with the Australian market, based on a short wheelbase version of the Valiant VH platform. Only 149 E49 versions were made powered by a triple Webber carburettor version of Chrysler's 265ci (4.3 litre) straight 6 that pushed out 302hp. It was the fastest accelerating Australian muscle car of its time
