Just gotta shake him out of it, then he's good

He forgets he can't go in the sun allllll the time and you just hear him start shrieking cause he forgot and stepped outside to see if it was raining (surprise, it wasn't lol)

Pouts when you treat his burns but rather quickly falls asleep in your arms

You have to install blackout curtains everywhere so he doesn't burn himself (Curt's now constantly in goth attire and won't stop rubbing his new look in Rod's face)

He also forgets he needs to drink blood for nutrients now since he was so used to just taking supplements for most of his food

But he's not complaining because 1: You fuss over him when he forgets, and 2: He gets free snuggles when you let him drink blood from you.

He's gotten so used to not seeing his reflection that one day, you pull up your phone camera to take a selfie and he temporarily freaks out upon seeing a random man beside you before he realizes it's him. You still tease him about this

You two learn the hard way that garlic still burns him after you had Italian food one night, and when you kissed Luke, cross-contamination happened ;)

If you're kid is still learning to talk, the two of them have a little competition to see who can get your kid to say Uncle Volt or Uncle Eddie first

Volt definitely spoils your kid. Gifts, snacks, and toys galore. He always gets pouty when you tell him to tone it down

Whenever their babysitting, they temporarily ban alcohol in the Breaker Box and keep everything non-alcoholic until their babysitting duties end

They also make super colorful, fruity drinks for your kid

If you're super exhausted, they're happy to take turns and one of them will tend to your kid and the other will help you make dinner, clean up, etc.

They set up a special booth in the corner of the Breaker Box that's extra soft and fluffy for when your kid visits. It's currently covered in crayon marks and paint smudges, and Volt labeled it a V.I.P. table.

No matter what comes up in your life, both of them are happy to drop everything if you need an urgent babysitter, or if you just need to take a nap, both of them understand being a single parent is hard, and besides, they're your best friends and they adore your kid, why would they say no? :)

With him, the house, you're never hungry; he can make something out of anything

He's pretty particular about how the kitchen runs, but once you two start dating, he softens a bit

He still gets nervous when you two go to social settings. He'll often hold your hand or your arm, and when he gets shy, he buries his face in your shoulder, and it's so cute

He loves going antique or thrift shopping with you, but you'll have to rein in his spending because he just wants to give every item a home

Eddie and Volt were already on high alert when your father arrived, with Volt ready to throw hands the second the first snide comment left your father's mouth. They watched from a distance during your father's visit, but the second they heard the sharp sound of a slap, it was all over.

You were still stunned, lightly touching your burning cheek where your father had hit you as the lights in your house nearly triple in brightness thanks to Eddie and Volt's anger. There's a flash of fabric as Mateo quickly drapes a blanket over you to protect you as the lightbulb above you and your father shatters with the amount of electricity coursing through it, causing tiny bits of glass to rain down on your father's head.

Your father thinks it's a coincidence at first until all the other lightbulbs start to shatter, and the ones that remain are so bright it's painful to look at. In a state of panic and confusion, your father bolts and just like that, the house in silent.

The second you manage to get the Dateviators on with shaky hands, Volt is at your side, Eddie on his heels. The two of them help you to the breaker box, exchanging worried glances before they guide you to a booth. Eddie gets you an ice pack and a drink while Volt stays by your side, soothing you as tears start to fall.

Neither of them leaves your side for hours, assuring that you're alright and that you know that they're here to protect you. After all, you're one of their dearest friends.

If you don't want to be alone that night, Eddie and Volt shift around the furniture in the Breaker Box to create a little blanket fort (Volt's idea) so you can stay the night. Both of them stay with you as well, happy to sleep on the floor if it means you're safe and comfortable. They'll never let your father hurt you again if they can help it. They do feel bad about you having to replace all the light bulbs, though...

Luke is my lovely little chaos gremlin hehehe

I think his love language is words of affirmation. He loves to compliment, both on your physical appearance and your personality, and, of course, he lovessss getting compliments from you

Even though the swarmers and magnetron aren't real, you and Luke get some VR goggles and some shooter games like the ones in arcades, and Luke absolutely loves playing them with you

You can and will have to seduce this man into a healthy sleeping schedule for goodness sakes he won't just lie down and you have to temporarily ban him from caffeine for this reason.

A lot of times when you two are separated, you get texted the most random pictures from Luke with the caption, "this made me think of you," and it's just a regular tree.

I feel like sometimes you catch him chewing something, and when you ask what he's eating, he starts chewing faster, and then you have to pry whatever cardboard he ate out of his mouth

He loves video games and playing them with you, but he cannot handle horror games or jump scares and he'll shriek loud enough to shatter glass when he's startled

He has two modes when he sleeps, koala or starfish and its a50/50 which one you get but when cuddling you, he seems to snore less

He takes more care when he touches you now. If you haven't had surgery and you're still a little body-conscious, he keeps his touches centered around your shoulders, back, and hands instead of around your chest.

Never ever tolerates anyone misgendering you, especially if someone does it on purpose, he gets so mad at them for disrespecting you

He's also surprisingly good at helping you remember to take any medication

Lemme tell you, if you two ever come across a transphobic person in public or online, Jacques is absolutely frothing at the mouth

You have to hold him back from pouncing on said transphobic person but his rather... colorful narrations of how he'd dismember them are still said

He lets you sleep as long as possible, and once you wake up, he brings you breakfast and bed, and it's only slightly burnt!

He also brings you your phone, books, journal, or anything else you want for entertainment.

He's at your beck and call all day. You want food? Sweet or savory? You want cuddles? Big spoon or little? You want to sleep a little more? He tucks you into bed with a kiss

You'd already told them about your less-than-ideal relationship with your father, so they were worried about your state after the visit. Eddie has to spend most of the time watching over you for any issues since Volt tried, but got too heated every single time your father talked down to you or made a cruel comment

Once your father leaves and you put the dateviators back on, your first stop is the breaker box. Volt is fussing over you like a mother hen while Eddie pours you a drink (whatever you like of course) and guides you to a booth to sit down.

If you want to vent about your father, they listen carefully, offering words of comfort or advice, whatever you need. However, if you don't want to speak about it, Volt will talk about more event ideas he has for the Breaker Box, or Eddie will talk about the new gossip he overheard while bartending.

Since you don't feel like talking to anyone else, they'll quietly shut down the Breaker Box for the night and alert the others to what happened if they don't already know, with minimum detail, of course. The three of you end up engrossed in conversation into the early hours of the morning before you finally relax enough to sleep. Once you're in bed, the two bid you goodnight before heading back to the Breaker Box (totally not planning anything to do with payback on your father...)

While he does like annoying you, all you have to do is just say something flirty or kiss his cheek and he just kind of... shuts down.

He'll stare off into space for a second before tugging his hat down over his face and muttering about insubordination

The longer you two are in a relationship, the more used he gets to your flirting, but that doesn't mean he'll stop blushing if you call him handsome

A member or more of reader's family comes over to visit, maybe even sleep over except they kinda missed out on guest etiquette classes. In this case, having too many things plugged in, leaving electronics on unnecessarily, leaving the lights on unnecessarily, etc.

Reader is trying their best to subtly tell them this isn't good for the electricity, using the excuse of the electricity bill as the reason for it. But it has little effect. So when said family member(s) are finally asleep they put on the dateviators to go apologize to the objects and most importantly, going to the Breaker Box to check up on the two of their best friends.

Yesss, more platonic Eddie and Volt. For the sake of this fic, I'll say it's the reader's cousin.

You'd had to convert your home gym to a guest room which meant Dunk, Kristof, Fantina, and Stepford were now all in the attic temporarily. Your cousin had also accidentally shattered a mug, and Daisuke was ready to throw hands but Stefan held him back.

And worst of all, your cousin seemed to have devices plugged in everywhere. They had a phone, computer, and i-pad charging constantly, a hairdryer in the bathroom, and several battery packs also charging for the "drive home." You'd at least been able to warn Volt and Eddie that you had family coming over, but neither were prepared for this. Eddie was stretched far too thin trying to regulate where the electricity was going, and Volt felt drained and weak and ended up having to lie down in a booth when he couldn't stand up any longer.

Neither of them blamed you, of course; they knew this wasn't your fault and that you were trying to get your cousin to unplug something, but it was to no avail. Once your cousin fell asleep, you took it upon yourself to fix the problem. You unplugged everything that was charged and everything that wasn't being used before hurrying to check on Eddie and Volt.

Eddie was taking a breather, and Volt was sipping on some fruity drink when you came in. They'd closed early due to the situation, so it was just the three of you. They brushed off your apologies, assuring you that you did your best to help. You assured them that your cousin was only here for a day longer, to which all three of you were relieved.

After you had helped Volt to bed since he still wasn't feeling great, Eddie pulled you aside and quietly and sincerely thanked you for helping as best you could. He said that having a friend who was actively trying to help ease his load meant a lot and that he really appreciated you.

I hc that Vincent can't speak, but is happy to teach you sign language if you don't know.

He doesn't make a lot of sounds either, only the occasional low hum that can only be heard in the quiet privacy of his room, but nothing beyond that.

However, in order to communicate if you don't know sign language, he often hums to get your attention and writes to speak to you. Not the most convenient, but in a dire situation, he'll make wild hand gestures, but they're not the hardest to decipher.

He also uses the excuse of writing to leave you little notes in his delicate handwriting all over the house for you to find.

You also become quite good at noticing and deciphering Vincent's body language. Little shifts in his chair when he's been sitting too long, slight tilts of his head when he's trying to recall a memory, or the small shudders when he's shaking himself out of his deep thoughts, he's quite expressive once you pay attention

If you do want to learn sign language, he's not the best teacher, but he's patient and eventually you two get it down

Mac is also loving the new style you gave them. With their new keycaps and the paint job you gave their tower, they think they look pretty fire, don't you ;)

Mateo quite likes the new blankets you bought to match your pajamas. Not only are they soft and comfy, but they match you perfectly! And he thinks he looks quite good in your style in his robe.

Skips is skeptical of your style at first, but after seeing your confidence when you wear it, he approves, and you get him a pair of earrings (clip-on) to match you with, and he wears them proudly

Daisuke accepts your new dishware with a smile and nod. He thinks it's quite a nice change of pace from simple white plates, and he picks the prettiest ones to display in the front of the cabinet.

Barry greatly approves of the new makeup you got and he even does his own research to find the best brands with the shades that you want and you two do each other's makeup so you can match <3

Could I request platonic Eddie & Volt with a reader who doesn't really call themselves an artist but they tend to just carry around a little sketchbook and sketch random things and people. Like they'll be sitting around at the bar, sipping a drink and just sketching random patrons or the bartender/host himself but they refuse to show it when asked.

UNTIL they accidentally leave it at the bar and the two find it while closing up and decide to look into it out of curiosity. And ofc they find sketches of themselves in there too alongside other ones.

Volt had always been the more eager of the two to see your sketchbook. He'd ask occasionally to see inside, but every time you shot him down and he'd pout about it, but he didn't just want to snatch it from your hands!

Eddie was less interested. It was clear you didn't want to show him what was inside the sketchbook, so he never pried. It was your property after all, and you'd always been so kind by respecting his boundaries.

However, the day you forgot your sketchbook, Volt didn't take his eyes off the table you left it at for hours. He wanted to pick it up immediately, but Eddie insisted they at least wait until closing time in case you came back. Volt has never been so excited for the Breaker Box to close.

The second the doors are locked, Volt bounds over to your sketchbook, and after some failed moral policing from Eddie, he opens it. Volt is instantly fascinated by all the drawings. There are pages and pages of sketches of different dateables, and each of them looks absolutely beautiful when drawn by your hand. The second Volt finds the pages with sketches of him, he's practically bouncing off the walls, gushing to Eddie about how you'd drawn him so perfectly and that it's like looking in a mirror.

Eddie attempted to resist the desire to snoop in your sketchbook, but when Volt shoved the pages with drawings of him in his face... he couldn't resist. He gingerly took the sketchbook and stared down at the pages. He looked.... beautiful. Each line was clearly sketched with care, and the amount of time you spent on the sketch was clear. After that, Eddie was nearly in a trance, flipping through pages until he got to one of himself where he was smiling, it was faint, even in the drawing, but that meant you'd managed to capture Eddie in a genuine smile.

The next day, you returned to the Breaker Box looking frazzled but relieved when you spotted your sketchbook. Eddie and Volt awkwardly admitted they had looked through it, and after some light scolding and perhaps a few gentle whacks with the sketchbook, you asked what they thought. Volt immediately started gushing about how amazing your drawings were and how he could spend hours staring at them.

Eddie waited until his friend had wound down before he glanced back down at the sketchbook, a hint of that small, genuine smile of his appearing on his face. "I don't think I know the right words to describe it.... they're divine."
