I'd been sitting on the idea and visual for this scene for so long and I think it ended up being one of the most difficult to draw and write but I'm so pleased with it. Huge thanks to @satanicspinosaurus for helping to get Astarion's end rant suitably ranty.

This scene is a callback/progression to the end of Stealing Hearts, Astarion's just not been reacting well to overhearing Aldiirn's nighttime tooting. Maybe we'll find out why. 👀

I turned 30 last week and one of the things I want to do in this decade of my life is be more open about what I want in the hopes it helps me do what I want to do, so here goes:

I think I’m some flavor of non-binary. Or at the very least I am suspiciously unattached to the concept of my AGAB in ways a cis person isn’t. Probably. (It’s the same problem I had when deciding I was asexual-trying to define something by the absence of it leaves a lot of room for ambiguity.)

I’m not planning on really Doing anything about it for the moment. I’m currently still living with my parents, and while they aren’t the Worst about things like that, I’d still like to be standing on my own (and insured) before I decide to do anything Life Altering like change pronouns or get on any kind of HRT. Plus I’m trying to figure out what all is “I don’t want to be perceived At All because of anxiety” and “I don’t want to be perceived because people perceive me as a gender I Am Not.”

But I do know There’s Something. Even if I’m still heavily in the closet outwardly, I want to at least admit this here.

Question for the trans guys who still feel a connection to womanhood and femineity:

Why? Personally I've found masculinity very traumatizing, and I can't possibly see why you'd ever feel still connected to an upbringing that was likely also traumatic for you. So why do you still feel a connection to womanhood?

Not to be a bitch but sometimes people engage with fiction in the most boring way possible, and nowhere is this clearer than in videogames. Like what you mean you hate a character just because they were kind of abrasive when speaking to the player character? "They were mean to me" and it didn't occur to you to wonder why? Like, what might their attitude toward you reveal about the world? About the social dynamics within it? About their own perspectives and backgrounds and personalities? Does it even occur you to ask? Would you only have liked them if they bowed to your presence and talked about how great you are? Like I'm sorry but you're so boring. How boring fiction would be if it cathered to you
