Remember being a kid in August? You’ve spent the whole summer playing outside, going to the pool, and– shockingly enough–you were actually EXCITED to go back to school!

When you work year round, it’s hard to find the excitement you had as an elementary school kid on the first day of school, but here are some tips to incorporate those nostalgic feelings without riding a school bus.
Refresh your office supplies. Your desk deserves better than crumbled up looseleaf paper and promotional pens. Crack open a fresh pack of pens and get yourself a new notebook to get that “new school supply” high. Turn on the television and chances are you’ll soon see a commercial for a soft drink. On your internet homepage, you’ll see a banner ad for that same soft drink.  You’ll see the same imagery and messaging in your social newsfeeds, an ad on a bus stop and in the store on a large banner. Everywhere you go, you are seeing that brand. Savvy marketers develop 360 marketing campaigns to reach consumers no matter where they are.
Providing a 360 experience is about synergies of messaging. Through print, in-store, digital and social media – “the customer will experience communication no matter where they are, so you have to think about leading them through the journey,” says Marina Karassellos, Digital Creative Director at ULTA Beauty. 
An integrated campaign covers the entire buying cycle, from discovery to purchase to repeat customer. Every medium is utilized – television, mobile, digital and social – in an integrated, consistent marketing and branding strategy. The brand is presented at all points of consumer contact.

An example of a 360 campaign is Coca-Cola’s legendary ENJOY EVERYTHING CAMPAIGN. The campaign encompassed mobile, experiential, product, digital, television and social. Using the camaraderie and bonding over sports, gaming, entertainment and humor, the company ran a series of television ads, held a strong presence in the March Madness Live mobile app and encouraged conversation on social media with a hashtag.
Successful 360 campaigns consider the main messages people are interested in and how they want to receive those messages. “All communications and strategy will go into effectively communicating to these audiences,” according to Marina. “When targeting your personas, you need to be scrappy, resourceful and smart.”

How to Focus on Work During a Personal Crisis

It’s tough to focus on work when you’ve just been dealt a blow in your personal life. Work may be the last place you want to be – or you may find work to be a welcome retreat – when you’re coping with a loss, dealing with a breakup, or have newfound financial stress. No matter the circumstance, remember that there are people there to help and taking care of yourself in the process is crucial. These are a few tips to help you balance work while dealing with a personal crisis:
Talk to your manager. To whatever extent you feel comfortable, keep your direct manager in the loop about what’s stressing you out. Don’t be ashamed of your situation; you are an important part of your organization, and it’s absolutely acceptable to run into personal problems. Discuss your options for taking time off and what should happen if you need to leave work suddenly. Having a backup plan in place will put your manager’s mind at ease and help you not stress about work when you’re out handling a personal issue.
Take a look at your benefits. It doesn’t hurt to talk to HR about your issue. You may have some grievance time available, have access to counseling services through an Employee Assistance Program, or childcare options through your work benefits. These services are usually confidential, and access to them is typically free as part of your benefits program.
Keep busy. Work can be a welcome escape from a stressful change in your home life. Make a list of your to-dos and keep it visible on your desk. A visual reminder of what you need to get done will help you stay focused.
If you find your to-do list to be overwhelming, break it down into small, manageable chunks. It’s okay to save the non-urgent tasks for your extra-blah days.
Take some time to think about your personal issue. Self-care through a crisis is crucial. Give yourself five to ten minutes to think about it and then focus on work for the next 30-45 minutes. This cycle will help you refocus and give you balance for managing your work and personal lives.

What does it mean to work with a Recruiter (TEM)? Recruiters could be replaced with partner, coach, advocate, search engine. When you begin your job search, engaging a recruiter can be beneficial for a multitude of reasons. They are experts in the industry, so have a pulse on hiring trends, negotiations, and jobs. They have access to great opportunities through various clients. Through their experience of working with various levels, fields and positions, they also have great insight into how experiences and skills compute. Recruiters work to help you find the right connection and opportunity – even if you don’t know what that looks like.
What is contract work and how does it work? Contract work is simple - short-term commitments with long term benefits. Contract work is signing onto specific jobs with various companies. Engagements can last for days, weeks, months or even years. You are still part of a team, but the flexibility allows you to try on various projects, teams and roles.  You can match projects based on skillsets or desired experiences, meaning you can build out your portfolio, try new things and aren’t stuck in the same roles. 
What is it like to work with a firm like yours?  it’s free, easy and beneficial. To start, you meet with a team member. During this meeting, we listen. We discuss what you are looking for, what issues or misses you’ve had with employers or employees in the past and then we provide an action plan.  Once we align on a direction, WunderLand gets to work to make the right connections. We take matching companies and consultants with the right solutions. It’s not a robotic process, but a thoughtful approach. We make sure skills line-up with job descriptions, culture fits are present and personalities don’t clash.  And we don’t stop once connections are made. We constantly check in to see how things are going. Based on feedback we can always adjust roles. As opportunities are ending, we then help you find your next opportunity and keep the cycle going. 
Do I have to pay for your service? Our service is completely free to our consultants! 
Where do the opportunities come from? The opportunities are sourced through the clients that we work with. Our clients come to us with a work issue. We then create custom recommendations to get the work done. Through these recommendations, our opportunities are born. We then work as a team to connect our consultants with our clients. We talk – often – to make sure our consultants and clients needs are met.

What should I prepare for my job search? The first steps we recommend are gathering a portfolio to highlight your work, update your resume and meet with one of our recruiters!
Do you offer benefits / when / how am I eligible? Did you know that if you work with WunderLand, you’re actually a W-2 employee?  We offer medical and health benefits: If you are a full-time employee working 30+ hours per week, you are eligible for the expansive health benefits that Advanced Group offers. You have 30 days from the start date of your first contract to elect or decline coverage in our benefit system. Coverage begins on the 1st of the month after you’ve worked for 30 days. Options are available for single and family coverage. Benefit changes can be made during the yearly open enrollment period, or at the time of a Qualifying Event. We also offer 401(k): You are automatically enrolled in the plan at 3% the 1st of the month after 90 days. WunderLand will contribute a match of 50% up to 8% of salary contributed after consultants have met eligibility.  Employees will be 100% vested in the plan following two years of service. Once you are eligible, you will receive a welcome packet from Principal during the open enrollment period. It will contain information on the 401(k) plan, funds available and enrollment forms. If you do not wish to contribute, you must log into Principal and opt out of participation. Other benefits include an engaged community of other consultants and clients, ongoing trainings through WunderLand and our parent company, Advanced Group, career and holiday rewards and so many more!

Our top industries include retail/e-tail, travel & hospitality, health & wellness, financial services/fin tech and professional services. 78% of our work is within UX Design, Visual Design Content, and Project Management.
