Sometimes it seems to me that I must have imagined you, that you can not be real, that you must be a figment of my desire and imagination that came to life on a sweet summer afternoon. So long ago but I can still see your face in my mind, I still feel the warmth of your bright smile and the dazzling glow of the hundred stars that were in your eyes. You were everything I had always wanted, a dream come true. And just like a dream, of which the sweetest ones are also the briefest, as if life gave us a lesson even in the subconscious that happiness is transient and therefore even more beautiful. And I loved you so much, as never before, and for a brief moment I learned to fly. And I forgot everything and there was nothing but you. But one day you left and I did not find you anymore. That’s why I want to think you were a dream and not someone real. The knowledge that I once had something so perfect and that life took it from me is too painful and I do not dare to think it for fear I quit breathing so I prefer to think of you as a chimera that my heart once dreamt with.
