Deadpoolopolis
501 posts
Welcome fellow Deadheads to Deadpoolopolis; a citywide citadel serving as the official headquarters for the multiversal Deadpool Corps. It is here where all  different types of humans, aliens, and other creatures who bear the "Deadpool" mantle can congregate, eat chimichangas, and travel to each others' worlds. Feel free to frolic about with other Deadpools and use whatever weapons they might bring. As Deadpool himself once said, "You don't need to be a hero to find that special someone because chances are, they'll bring out the hero in you."

“Metal & Mouths” A Wormback Fanfic
The alley reeked of rain and gunpowder. Deadpool crouched behind an overflowing dumpster, bullets sparking off the metal. “Y’know,” Wade called out, “most guys with your build are either in the NFL or in prison. I’m guessing you flunked the 40-yard dash?”
From the other end of the alley, Wormback stepped into view—six and a half feet of chrome under faux flesh, one cybernetic eye glowing like a warning light. His left arm clicked and reconfigured into a broad, cleaver-like blade. “Oh, Wade,” Wormback drawled, “you always open with a joke. Is it because deep down, you know you’re not gonna be laughing at the end?”
Deadpool popped up and fired twice. Wormback deflected the shots with a lazy flick of his blade-arm. “Seriously? Handgun? You’re bringing a cap gun to a cybernetic knife fight?” He started forward, each step heavy enough to send ripples through a puddle.
“Listen, Worms,” Wade said, ducking behind the dumpster again, “I’ve fought a lot of bad guys. Big ones, small ones, weirdly damp ones. But you… you’re like if RoboCop and Stretch Armstrong had a baby, and then forgot to love it.”
Wormback chuckled, low and cruel. “That’s cute. You should write that on your tombstone. Oh wait—” he lunged forward, slamming the blade through the dumpster where Wade had been—“you won’t have one.” Deadpool tumbled backward, barely avoiding being pinned. He aimed low and shot Wormback in the knee.
The cyborg staggered, then straightened with an audible whirr as his leg repaired itself. “Yeah, see? That’s the problem with you, Wade. You don’t commit. Me? I commit.” Before Wade could answer, Wormback’s free arm shot out, stretching unnaturally, grabbing Deadpool by the collar and yanking him into the air.
“You know what I like about you?” Wormback said, pulling Wade close enough for him to smell the faint ozone of his circuitry. “You never shut up. Makes the screaming so much sweeter.” Deadpool cocked his head. “Wow. And here I thought I was the creepy one.” Then he stabbed Wormback in the glowing eye.

Gregory Terraerton a.k.a Wormback Character Bio
Real Name: Gregory Terraerton
Aliases: “Wormback,” “The Man in the Metal Skin”
Age: Mid-to-late 40s
Height: 6’5” (cybernetic body)
Affiliation: Freelance mercenary, occasional operative for shadowy paramilitary groups like Weapon X and A.I.M.
Status: Cyborg mutant
Primary Antagonists: Deadpool, Cable, Domino, X-Force
Physical Appearance
Build: Towering, broad-shouldered, with exaggerated mechanical augmentations beneath synthetic skin.
Hair: Patchy blond, often shaved or cropped short.
Eyes: One human (gray-blue), one glowing red cybernetic.
Notable Features: Left arm entirely mechanical, body reinforced with carbon-steel plates under skin; spinal column replaced with segmented alloy giving him a slightly unnatural gait.
Personality
Gregory Terraerton is a walking contradiction: cocky mercenary charm layered over a cruel, sadistic core. From Worm, he inherits a streetwise, darkly comedic swagger and the ability to insult his opponents mid-fight with unnerving accuracy. From Slayback, he gets an utter lack of empathy and a mercenary’s joy in inflicting pain, treating combat like performance art.
He loves toying with enemies—drawing out fights to make them suffer physically or psychologically. However, his humor is never truly lighthearted; even his jokes have a knife-edge. Despite his volatility, he’s pragmatic—he’ll retreat if the odds turn against him, only to return later with a more elaborate trap.
Powers & Abilities
Cybernetic Regeneration: His 616 Slayback-derived augmentations allow him to regrow mechanical limbs and repair synthetic skin rapidly—though not instantaneously like Deadpool.
Enhanced Strength & Endurance: Far beyond peak human, able to punch through reinforced steel doors and withstand high-caliber gunfire.
Adaptive Weaponry: Cybernetic arms can reconfigure into various weapons—bladed appendages, grappling hooks, integrated firearms, and shock emitters.
Pain Suppression: Neural dampeners allow him to keep fighting despite injuries that would incapacitate others.
Mutant Physiology: From his Worm origin, he retains limited body malleability—can slightly elongate limbs or compress his body to fit into tight spaces.
Origin & Backstory
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Gregory Terraerton was a petty criminal with mutant abilities to contort and stretch his body unnaturally. His agility and infiltration skills earned him the nickname “Worm” in the underworld.
During a high-stakes job involving stolen Weapon X tech, Gregory was captured and forcibly conscripted into the program. Weapon X experimented on him, replacing most of his skeleton and organs with cybernetics, “improving” him into the perfect hybrid assassin. The process erased much of his humanity—his humor became sharper, meaner, and his moral compass disintegrated.
Rebranded as Slayback, Gregory became an on-call enforcer for various black-ops units. His reputation grew for not just killing targets, but staging elaborate and humiliating deaths for psychological impact. He eventually clashed with Deadpool during a failed assassination, which turned into a personal vendetta after Wade mocked his cybernetics on live television.
Notable Traits from Source Characters
From Worm (Movie): The sardonic one-liners, the casual cruelty masked as humor, and the tendency to act like every fight is just another boring shift at work.
From Worm (616): The original body malleability and infiltration skills, now used in combination with heavy cybernetics for unconventional combat.
From Slayback (616): The sadistic streak, overconfidence, and the tendency to “play” with his targets before finishing them off.
Weaknesses
Overconfidence: His tendency to toy with enemies can give them openings.
Maintenance Needs: His cybernetic body requires specialized repairs; without them, systems degrade.
Psychological Blind Spots: Personal insults about his humanity or appearance can provoke reckless behavior.
Story Hooks
Vendetta Arc: After a humiliating defeat at Deadpool’s hands, Wormback sets out to dismantle Wade’s life piece by piece.
Cybernetic Arms Race: Competing organizations try to steal the tech in his body, forcing him into an uneasy alliance with his enemies.
Past Resurfaces: A pre-Weapon X associate resurfaces with proof that Gregory was betrayed by the program, sparking a rare internal conflict about his loyalties.

should i find it weird that wade turned undead in marvel zombies series? like, his body should be constantly fighting the infection and become an infinite source of food for the zombies instead. it could stabilise their sanity and maybe lead to the collective organised solution research. i guess it'd be dull tho. (however, tbh it's not like the original plot is blasting either)
