Headcanon
Hermione Granger, I love you. Will you marry me?
Hermione gasped, her hand flying to her mouth as she read note that was hidden within the newest edition of Hogwarts: A History. Harry had given it to her earlier, even when the official date of its’ release was in two months. Sometimes, being being responsible for Voldemort’s defeat had its’ perks.
“So will you?” a familiar voice asked from behind her.
She turned around to see Harry looking at her, fiddling with a black velvet box. He seemed unsure on whether to get down on one knee or just hand it to her. Frankly, Hermione didn’t care about what he did and quickly put her book down to jump into his arms, planting kisses all over his face.
When she was done, Harry had a goofy smile on his face and asked, “So it’s a yes, then?”
She laughed and gave him a little peck on the lips. “Of course, it’s a yes…"
“Good ‘cause I already bought a nice little place for us.”
“Really?” She looked at him in surprise.
Harry grinned at Hermione and took her hands in his. “Yes, it’s in the Forest of Dean.“
"The Forest of Dean?”
His eyes sparkled with mischief and Hermione wondered what he was up to. “Yes…and I thought that maybe we could stay there…"
