i feel like a lot of people on tumblr (that i've seen) have hated the new nico books (tsats, tcotd) because nico isn't as moody and depressed anymore, but nico HAS HAD a goofy side to him this whole time, it's just been suppressed because he is constantly in the face of death and danger. besides Blood of Olympus, every book has been from the perspective of other people who saw him as this dark moody kid, because that's how he was perceived by those characters. and even in his own perspective in BOO, he was on the brink of death and barely had any deep relationships with the other characters. now, he is with people he's comfortable around and healing from past trauma. this is a good thing??? if nico making puppy dog eyes at chiron so his boyfriend can come with him to california and using pet names for will makes you so mad then maybe stop reading middle grade fiction. he's a growing teenage boy who is healing and loves his boyfriend.

It's exhausting and depressing" and his smile fading into something small and tired and him white-knuckling the couch to get away from Andrew and him volunteering to wake Andrew up when he knows Andrew will react with violence and saying "I'm good" when he's folded in half with pain and his smile not reaching his eyes and him saying "I don't want to die" and him tense and wincing and him saying he doesn't believe in family, tiredly repeating Andrew's words and him drowning drink after drink and and his face tight with concern and with both hands gripping Neil’s and him shooting worried looks in the rear-view mirror and the put-upon tone of his voice and unnatural-looking defeat on his face and him having met Erik in the nick of time and him shifting as if he wanted to throw himself between Higgins and his cousins and him smiling without it reaching his eyes and him looking ill with nervous hope and the growing edge of his words and him standing silent and still at his parents’ doorstep and him going mute at the sight of his father and the joy punched out of him

I just started a reread of The King's Men and listen... You know how whenever Andrew needs to calm Neil down he grabs the back of his neck? And we love every moment of it because it's intimate and it's Andrew's version of a hug?

WELL In the very beginning of Tkm when Nicky sees Neil for the first time post-evermore he grabs the back of Neils neck and pulls him in under his chin.

And guys, do you think that Andrew grabs Neil's neck because Nicky modeled it to him? And to Andrew it was an acceptable way to show affection?

If Jean was equally in love with an Elle Woods and a Jeremy Knox, it WOULD be easier if he chose Elle woods. Jeremy and Kevin being aware of societal homophobia is not biphobic or homophobic.

Jeremy doesn’t fully realize that Jean doesn’t want someone else, so yes he is worried because he’s INSECURE. He’s afraid Jean would never choose him for a variety of reasons, this is just one flavor.
