Tsuna gave a weak smile in response. Of course, he figured she probably noticed, but a guy could still hope.

“Oh- No, it’s not for me.”

“I’m trying to find a present for my friend. She doesn’t really wear things like this very often… but I thought it might be good for her to have something nice to wear that isn’t beat up.” He paused to look at the clothes before giving a sigh. “But I don’t know what I’m doing here… Maybe I should find something else. She might take this the wrong way anyway.”

“Ohhh~ A girl, huh? Perhaps... A girlfriend?” She gave a knowing smirk, moving closer to him to nidge him gently with her shoulder, “It’s ok, I won’t tell her... Hehe~”

Camilla gave a look over the dresses. If she’s right, this girl probably enjoyed being free with her movement, so she’d probably like something that could tear and wouldn’t be bothered by it...

“Perhaps you should try looking for something more laid back? These dresses are far too fancy for someone who prefers clothes to be worn out... What is she into exactly?”

Of course, it was just like Rika to hide her birthday, and he had to find out himself long after the day had passed. It was late now, but he still felt he should get her a gift. Many of her clothes were beat up or stained from her work, he’d noticed, and he decided to get her something nice to wear. Where would she wear it? Maybe she’d get a date again.

He was just looking at something he thought she might like when a stranger caught his attention. Turning to look, he saw a kind-looking woman holding up a dress.

“Um…I think it would look good on you, but… don’t you think it’s a little…?”

Revealing? It certainly was, but surely she knew that without him telling her. Hopefully, she wouldn’t be too aware of his face turning red.

Too bad she caught onto it.

To her that was adorable-- She may already like this child! She pulled the dress away from her, looking over it once more. Given her usual armour though, maybe it actually covered more...

“It’s an attention grabber, that’s for sure. Perhaps it might work for just backyard sunbathing? Hm..” She pndered, before turning back to the smaller boy, “Hehehe~ You know, I don’t think these dresses are really your style... You look like someone who’d enjoy longer sleeves and less skin.”

Shopping had become a habit for Camilla.

She’d still been lacking in the friends department, despite having been on this island for quite a long time. In order to make up for time she could have been wasting, she instead decided to waste some money, mingle with the goat worshippers, attempt to make up for the loneliness she’d been feeling.

Looking over a rack in one of the quaint stores run by a native, she pulled out a black dress that would perhaps be considered a bit too revealing for royalty... Too bad she didn’t care.

She turned to a stranger standing close to her, holding the dress by the hanger up to her.

“What do you think? Would it suit me?”

“Leon, perhaps it would be best if we... desensitized you to such things as insects... Setting fire to our location would not help if you spotted one during a recon mission. It’s only give us away.”

Seeing Kamui cry sent Camilla into protective mode. She embraced him tightly, strokng his hair as he softly cooed to him, trying to calmhim down.

“There, there, Kamui. It is not your fault. Leon is as strong as both you and I, he would not be taken down so easily, I promise. Call it a family instinct, but I have no doubt he will return to us unscathed. So please, no more tears. It breaks my heart to see your adorable face stained with tears.”

“It all happened in front of my own eyes… I’ve scoured the castle everywhere and yet I cannot find him… You don’t think it… Killed him… do you?” His eyes begin to tear up, and without warning he throws himself at his sister. “Oh, It’s all my fault!! If I wasn’t so weak and was able to defeat the being that took him…” His words soon were un-hearable as they were drowned out by crying sounds.

Did he just say a wall took Leon?

A wall... Like... The ones on buildings? They took their younger brother? Kamira wasn’t too sure how to react to this, truthfully. But, seeing as she was the adult here, she guessed she had to do something,

“I’m... Afraid I’ve not, sorry Kamui... Are you sure a wall definitely took him?”

“Sister…. You haven’t seen Leon have you?” His face held a horrified image. “He believed the castle was haunted and kept making a big fuss about it, so I gave in and decided to look around and uh…” He pauses to look down. “A lot of weird things happened and one of the walls took him….”

“Hmmm~ Perhaps so.” She hummed. Puzzles and riddles where a popular pastime among the Nohr siblings, among other more ‘violent’ things. “My older brother and I have never managed to solve it. Perhaps I’ll pitch that idea if and when he joins us.”

“To be the ultimate warrior, one must be strong both mentally and physically, don’t you agree? At least, father insisted so. I much enjoyed puzzles when my family played them together.” Kamira giggled, “What about you?”

Ana wasn’t very good at riddles - those were more Kaito’s forte, while he really preferred art puzzles - but the pretty lady asked him, so he would answer.

“Ana thinks that Ea-Ea wrote on both,” he said finally. “I don’t know much about poems, but I think that’s the answer.” He tilted his head and smiled. “Do you like puzzles, too?”

Kamira smiled at the young girl’s joy over the wooden instruments. She picked one up,inspecting it.

“My, my, is this handmade~? It looks so well done!” The princess turned to the girl, “I’m always so impressed with this sort of thing. It must have taken a long, perhaps a lot of ouchies too, huh? I’m in awe over the dedication.”

Placing the woodwind instrument down, she held out a hand to the younger girl.

“Anyway, my name is Kamira of Nohr. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ms...?”

On the contrary, Madotsuki was doing just fine on her own. No one paying her much mind was fairly normal, and she never took it to heart, really. She just didn’t have that much of a presence. Such was life.

That said, it was a little surprising when she was spoken to, but she supposed it made sense given the stall next to them. It was filled with all sorts of handmade woodwinds, flutes and ocarinas, and even a few harmonicas. Madotsuki herself had been testing out a wooden recorder, until she’d been called to. Perhaps this lady had just heard that? Oh right, she was being spoken to.

“Ah–flutes.” That was the easiest answer, but it wasn’t untrue. Madotsuki held the recorder in her hands a little closer, and smiled. It had made such a wonderful sounds. “They’re very nice.”

Kamira returned the gesture, rubbing her thumb along Rika’s cheek as she smiled. Where she came from, skinship like this was normal so she hoped Rika didn’t see it as anything else but bonding that she’d denied Rika by her disappearance.

“The war is still raging. My older brother is struggling to control both I an my younger sibling’s troops all alone. A part of me wishes he would join us, perhaps some relief for him... Plus, I’m sure he would love to meet you!”

Rika relaxed as she was hugged in return, mrrring all the while. She was happy, really, she just doesn’t really have a good way to make it known. “It’s not your fault. I know. Just nice to have you around again…” She sighed, stepping back a little and rubbing her face. That’s enough of that, she thought.

“…You went back to your home, right? What’s it like?”

It certainly shocked the princess, not entirely predicting this outcome but accepting it nonetheless. She returned the embrace, pulling Rika closer into her, resting a hand on the young girl’s head.

“Even if I did, you’re a strong girl and I naturally would have returned. It may not have been the same, but I would still be by your side eventually. I’m sorry for leaving, Rika.” Kamira spoke softly to her.

The mechanic would look up as she heard Kamira’s voice, sliding out of her chair and heading toward the door. Rika would simply stare at the woman for a moment, not saying a word. Instead, she would step forward and just wrap her arms around the other, hugging her.

“…At least you remember me…” Was mumbled under her breath.

Kamira felt bad, promising to not desert Rika before being forced back to Nohr without her consent. She had felt it was her job to apologize in the very least.

Arriving at the Mechanics house, Kamira knocked on her door before calling out to Rika.

“Rika? If you have a moment I wish to speak to you...”

She’d seen this girl around often, and Kamira could safely say she gave off an odd aura. The princess liked it. It intrigued her, but she couldn’t say why.All she did know was she longed to figure out the reason.

She’d noticed the strange girl alone by herself and deemed it the perfect chance to strike a conversation.

Having been washed up on this island twice, Kamiracouldn’t help but feel lonely at the fact she knew hardly anyone here well. Sure, she had her family and she was very grateful for that, but even still she wanted more. That wasn’t selfish of her, was it?

Hitting the town, she was looking over all the stalls the natives set up for the newcomers to peruse and buy from. She’d noticed a young brunette eyeing several objects.
