Flyer # 1 !!!
Bundled up in her winter clothes, Sejeong is just barely keeping warm as she canvases the streets of Seoul, handing out flyers for TRC. She was told it was a bit of a rite of passage for new trainees, so she was putting her all into it, wanting to get people to check it out.
Spotting a pretty girl walking down the street, she hurried over to her, her smile reaching her eyes as she did.  “Ah~  Have you ever considered being an idol?  Such pretty eyes!  Speaking of eyes, Tiger JK has an eye for talent! Check out some of the upcoming events Triple Crown Entertainment has planned~"  with that she offers the flyer to the other girl, hoping her little pitch worked in her favor.
the teen’s bottom lip quivered as she walked home from school, her hands tucked cozily into the pockets of her large parka. hearing a light voice from behind her, yerim stopped in her tracks and turned around to face the girl who called upon her. as soon as her eyes caught sight of the girl’s bright expression, she matched it on her own face, smiling brightly at the other. a soft giggle comes from her lips as she heard the other’s company promotion, a pale, rosy tint barely on her cheeks.
”thank you for this, i’ll be sure to check trc out!” her cold hand reached out to take the flyer from the other, a small gasp escaping her lips as her bare skin left the warmth of her jacket pocket. her smile remained on her chapped lips and she looked the other girl in the eye. “you’re a very, very good promoter! do you work for the company, or?”

rkheejin:
( ... )
“i’m glad. i needed someone to practice with and i think we can pull it off.” she’s hopeful but not confident. she sits down on the hardwood floor and stretches until her legs feel loose and able, then her shoulders, and then she twists and cracks her neck just to finish stretching off. when she’s done she pulls off her sweatshirt and puts her hair in a high ponytail. “alright, i’m ready. should we try to learn the steps first without the music?” heejin knowing the beginning of the choreo, she still thinks she should being slowly. “i’m honestly not too great at teaching myself dances. maybe you should lead,” she says with a giggle.
“alright,” yerim agreed, a smile lighting up her face as she shared a giggle. “no worries, let’s just start with the first part of the song - from the ‘lemme say hey’ to the ‘club with fifty of the girls’.” she went back to the video on the phone, playing the part that she had highlighted for both of them. as the two watched, yerim went over the parts in her mind, following each of the dancers in the video and closely visualizing herself doing the same. once the part had ended, she put down the phone once more and positioned herself in front of the mirror next to heejin.
“okay, so basically i guess we don't actually start dancing until the instrumental music starts and the talking ends. so, i guess, during that part we just stand there and try to look cool.” the teen laughed loudly as she tried her ‘cool’ pose in the mirror, an attempt that seemingly failed at its purpose and instead, just looked comical. “okay okay, we’ll fix that later!” cooling down from her sudden fit of laughter, yerim shook her head and her hand, focusing back on the dance at hand. “once the bada-ba-ba of the music starts, they do this really like sensual, slow drop. so like this.” she mimicked what the dancers in the video had done, and although it lacked the sultriness of the dancers, the move was still accurate. “and then they did the small shoulder move, before getting up and doing this popping move. and then, comes the really cool body wave. let’s try it!”

rkxseola:
( … )
“how are lessons going?” she asks as they cross over the threshold, leaving school grounds and stepping onto the streets of guro district. this, too, reminds her of her younger years, though it isn’t as vivid. it does remind her, however, that when she was younger, the last thing she wanted to talk about outside of school was lessons. “how’s your family? how’s mimi?” her expression turns coy now, a teasing tone injected into her next question. “your love life? any potential boys? or girls…?”
“oh, soup sounds delicious right now,” yerim’s stomach growled with hunger at the mention of the dish, her insides hurting as she imagined the warm, fulfilling taste of soup. the fact they were going out to eat filled her with delight and the teen couldn’t deny the smile on her face. stepping out of the school and onto the streets, she was suddenly hit with the chilly outside air, causing her to scrunch up her body - by crossing her arms and hunching -, whilst leaning into the other girl for warmth. “it sounds like an even better idea in this cold weather!”
it wasn’t long before the sight of a soup shop appeared several yards away from them, just as they turned a sharp corner. yerim chirped happily in response to seola’s many questions, her voice full of cheerfulness amidst the cold. “lessons are alright, i guess. my dad’s doing good, same with mimi! and as for my love life… ” she paused. there was a small shrug before she replied once more, the upbeatness of her voice still remaining. “that’s nonexistent, but i don’t really care too much about it honestly. i’m young, i have a lot more years to worry about that.” she turned her head to face seola, eyes wide and head tilted in pure curiosity. “what about you, unnie?” a simper suddenly appeared atop her chapped lips, as she inquired just as her older friend had. “anything romantic in your life?”

rkdonghyun:
( ... )
following the younger girl into his bedroom, donghyun took one last glance the way he had just come before he closed his door. he at least wanted some warning if his parents were to suddenly come back and head up to his room. only then did he sit himself down on his own floor next to her, crossing his legs in front of him, eagerly watching as she pulled out a bunch of notebooks and sheet music and putting them out in front of her. it was a lot of stuff, but that was good because he was quite ready to soak it all up like a sponge. he always went over everything she gave him with a fie comb, more than he ever did with regular schoolwork, mostly because he didn’t really care about the schoolwork as much as he cared about getting better at singing.
“i really don’t mind where we start,” he responded pretty honestly, unable to help himself from wiggling just a little in excitement, “where did you start?” that sounded like a reasonable place to start to him. he honestly didn’t mind, he just wanted to get started already. it was not like they had all too much time before his parents got him.
a small hum escalating from her lips, yerim pondered for a brief moment, her hands sifting through her papers to find what she was looking for. once a bundle of papers bound together by a paper clip was found, her hum stopped and a light smile appeared on her pink lips. she handed the papers over to donghyun. “recently, i had to learn iu’s through the night for an assignment. you can learn that maybe, and practice with it by yourself too? here’s the sheet music, and if the range is too high, we can always bring it down an octave.”
after handing him the sheet music, the teen clapped her hands together in satisfaction. “ok so let me help you learn that today, and i’ve also jotted some notes down in the margins of music i gave you since my teacher gave a lot of information when she helped me. i hope that’ll help too.”
from her seated criss-crossed position, she straightened up her posture and held it. “i think it’ll be good if we warmed up our vocals so we don’t damage or strain any chords. so sit up straight and do these exercises with me.” from her pale, pink lips came several wordy phrases, each with a soft hum underneath. her rosy cheeks rose and fell with each word as the teen warmed up whilst watching the other follow her as well. for around five minutes, exercises such as mah-may-me-mo-moo and i love to sing fled her lips before finally she stopped. taking a sip of her water bottle next to her, yerim grinned again. “ok, let’s begin.”

` o christmas tree
time : 6:30 pm / kst , december 20th place : the choi home in gangnam-gu, seoul, south korea summary : yerim and her father decorate their christmas tree.
"dad, could you please pass me that blue ornament right there? thanks.”
yerim leaned over, with her feet firm on the step stool, to place the ornament her father handed to her onto an open spot in the tree. she was clad in an outfit consisting of a sweatshirt and leggings, comfortable clothing for a comfortable day at home. in the background played a christmas playlist made by yerim, containing mostly the english classics, along with a few ariana grande christmas-themed songs. the air smelled of both the freshly baked cookies yerim and her father had just made along with the holiday scented candle that was placed on the living room table next to the faux tree. the teen was beaming through it all; it was christmas time.
humming along to the music playing in the background, yerim continued to place various ornaments on the tree in front of her, her father doing the same. once in a while, a korean song which both of them knew by heart would come on and they would pause their tree decorating to sing and dance together to the music, returning back to the decorations only after the song had ended.
every year it was like this, and every year yerim was at her happiest.
the professor and his daughter spent the holidays as best they could: going out, decorating, baking, giving, receiving, volunteering. as always, the choi household had to do some collective volunteering during their vacations from their respective schools, they just had to. the day before, the pair had gone to the neighborhood soup kitchen where they had helped to serve hot meals to those in need with smiles. they loved all of it, and even invited someone from the shelter, whom they had befriended, over for christmas eve dinner. the two also made sure to visit seoul plaza to give the few children’s toys that they bought for the christmas drive there. it was a season of happiness and the choi family made sure to do their best in spreading the holiday cheer.
after placing more assorted ornaments onto the tree, wrapping glittery strings and lights around it together, and crowning it with a star, the time finally came to where they were to light up the tree.
standing side by side, close enough to where their arms brushed against one another’s, the duo stared at the unlit tree, waiting, motionless. yerim’s father held the light switch in his hand pausing as he studied the tree, before he handed it over to his daughter with a smile. “you do it,” he insinuated, a warm smile gracing his thin lips.
yerim couldn’t resist the radiant beam on her own lips as she was handed the switch, her cheeks warm with innocent delight. just as she was about to flip the switch on, yerim leaned over to place a soft kiss on her father’s cheek. “love you,” she whispered, before finally she moved her fingers and the tree’s lights came on gloriously. both father and daughter looked on in awe, clapping their hands together amidst the excitement. after a brief moment of celebrating, the two began to embrace one another in a warm, loving hug. yerim smiled again as her father planted a kiss on her forehead, she couldn’t think of anywhere else she would rather be.
“we did good yerim, we did good.”

rkhoon:
( ... )
“yerim!” he was lucky to have caught her before she made her way to the cafeteria. giving presents during lunch would have probably been a little bit awkward and great fuel for his friends to tease him for the rest of his life. so jihoon offered the box to her along with a warm smile. “i’m your secret santa! i hope you’ll enjoy it.” the main piece inside was a sweater he found and thought looked nice. he almost bought one for himself but them having the same clothes would have probably been a little weird. by its side laid a pair of cute socks. “i saw those a few days after and thought it’d fit the theme well.”
again, jihoon wasn’t exactly known for being a fashionista so any type of positive remarks towards his gift would make him happy.
with a groan, yerim left her last class before lunch, her least favorite class at that too. why couldn’t christmas break come any faster? teachers of the required courses had no interest in celebrating the holidays these last few days of school, rather they continued to pursue teaching tedious lessons. through those particular classes, yerim could hardly pay attention. her mindset was already one that thought only of vacation, rather than academics. she was so close to it too, she just had to get through the rest of the day.
after pausing at her locker to put away her belongings, the teenager straightened her posture and relaxed the tense frown on her features. she wasn’t going to let just one class ruin her day, no, she was someone who exuded positivity after all. with her chin higher and a relaxed composure, yerim began to make her way towards the cafeteria to meet her friends, when she heard her name called by a familiar voice. she spun around towards the direction where the voice had come, beginning to smile instantly when she caught sight of a friend with a gift in his hand. “aw, jihoon!”
joy painted itself onto her face; the skin around her eyes wrinkled as her cheekbones rose, the whites of her teeth clearly visible between her parted lips. “thank you so much, these are so nice!” her eyes twinkled as she gazed at the contents of the box, marveling at the articles of clothing picked out by jihoon. “the dinosaurs are so adorable, i can’t wait to wear these. thank you, thank you!” placing the box’s cover back over the inside, yerim then proceeded to hold the present close to her stomach. a constant smile atop her pink lips, now matched with a light rosiness in her cheeks, the teen politely bowed in gratitude to the senior boy in front of her.
“thank you again!”

` silver bells.
for @rkyebin / last day before christmas break
three sharp knocks on the door in front of her and yerim’s face couldn't deny the smile that was creeping onto it. given that it was, in fact, christmas time, yerim hummed a carol as she stood waiting patiently, clad in a cute christmas sweater and jeans, matched with a pair of uggs and christmas earrings.
in her hands, she carried two wrapped presents: one box with a blue exterior and another that was smaller with a pink ribbon. inside the largest wrapped box were six homemade macarons, made entirely by yerim, who was eager to show off her baking skills ( although truth be told, she could only make macarons ). once opened, the smaller wrapped present contained a star necklace paired with a small card with words written in yerim’s neat handwriting, drawn hearts scattered all over the card:
merry christmas kang yebin!
i have given you two things, if that’s alright!! first of the two, is a box of macarons made by yours truly!!! i think you’re the sweetest and the sweetest definitely deserves sweets!!! second, i got you a star necklace as you can see. i got a star for you to remind you that no matter what, you’re a star and you’re headed straight for the top!!! don't ever let anyone dull your shine!!! merry christmas and happy new year yebin, i wish you well!!
- choi yerim ❤
“merry christmas yebin!” as soon as the door in front of her opened, yerim shouted the holiday wish in glee, enveloping the other in a warm hug. a smile was constant on her lips as she pulled away and handed the gifts to her fellow schoolmate and friend. “as you probably guessed already, i’m your secret santa! i got you some things that i hope you’ll like.”

rkheejin:
( ... )
“yerim. i found this cover, a dance cover. it looks fun. do you wanna try it?” heejin asks handing her phone to yermin. it’s bedazzled cover sparkles under the florescent lights in the dance studio close to heejin’s house. usually, heejin practiced alone. she never wanted to embarrass herself in front of others and if she didn’t get the steps to a dance after at least three times in – she considered it a failure. this song also looked hard and definitely like a girl crush concept, which was something heejin usually didn’t gravitate toward.
“i might look like an idiot dancing to it but it could be a good learning experience anyway, right?”
after various lessons as efforts to better her talents, yerim has become what she considers ‘a jack of all trades, but master of none’. she can follow choreographies, hold a tune, and memorize a rap verse, but she isn't exactly excellent at or doesn't carry raw talent for any of those skills in particular. the teenager knows that in order for a company to want to sign her, she has to be really good at at least something. this has became her motivation when it came time for her to practice at school or in the studio, to really better herself by working hard.
although, there are sometimes where she feels that there ought to be fun in order to get work done – especially when she’s practicing with friends.
“it looks so cool already, i love it!” excitement bubbled up in her as her eyes followed the dancers in the video on heejin’s phone, the dark orbs admiring the charisma given off with every move. as the video progressed, the corners of her pink lips gradually began to curve upwards; by the time the video had finished, yerim was smiling widely. “yes, i’m definitely up for this!”
it didn’t matter that neither of them were professional dancers and it didn’t matter that it seemed unlikely that they would be perfect in all the steps in the next hour. yerim didn’t really care. what mattered was that they would try their best and have fun with it – learning in the process, as well. “you're right and hey,” the teen’s expression remained upbeat as she replied to the older girl, the whites of her teeth still visible in a vibrant beam. “i’m not the best at keeping the whole ‘girl crush’ aura either, so let’s just have fun.” she flashed another grin at heejin before handing the phone back to her.
off to the side, the high schooler began to stretch her limbs: pulling her arms across her chest, touching her toes, lunging– she did it all until her whole body was warmed up and she felt she was good to go. yerim clapped her hands together, beaming brightly as she examined the dance cover once more. “okay, let’s do this!”

( what type of flower are you ? )                ❁ choi yerim – the DAISY ! ❁
` friendly, sociable, and easy-going, you take life as it comes and are always patient and always kind. you are reliable and conscientious. you’re not ambitious, preferring to focus on the important things in life: love, family and friends. the most precious thing in the world to you are the moments you spend with the people you love.

( ... )
     – ‘……oi Y…… Choi Y………..’
The call of a familiar name managed to force him back into reality, and Youngjae opened his eyes to be overwhelmed by the bright daylight flooding the Starbucks. His mind quickly put two and two together and figured out that his name being called must have meant that his order was ready, a simple conclusion really, and thus he forced his body, still heavy with sleep, over to the counter to see… nothing. Confusion filled him as he blinked a couple of times and looked around. The only nearby person other than the people queuing was the receding figure of a girl carrying a tray, and he could only assume that she was the perpetrator. He put a hand on her shoulder to stop her. “Hey! You’ve got my order!” he complained.
her whole body ached with fatigue as she entered the coffee shop that morning.
with both the holiday season and the testing season upon her, yerim’s days and nights were filled with either school work or fulfilling holiday duties. each night was indeed a sleepless night and evidence of that could be found on her face, with drooping eyelids and dark circles underneath, the latter of which already fixed up with a light layer of concealer.
in the cafe, she ordered her drink with a yawn, blushing as the barista behind the counter stared. the teen then proceeded to sit down in a corner of the small shop to wait for her drink, and she could barely keep her eyes open. to prevent herself from lounging in public, the teen began to empty her book bag’s belongings onto the table where she sat, deciding she ought to finish up some of her homework while she was in the coffee shop. hearing someone call a name similar to hers ( it probably was hers ), she looked up to see a coffee cup ready to be drunk with no claimer. it was hers. after getting up and receiving the drink, yerim was walking towards the table where she’d set up shop when she felt a hand on her shoulder. the teen whipped around suddenly and froze.
“do i?” the high schooler’s eyes became as wide as saucers and she quickly rose the tray to glance at the name written on the cup. yerim could feel her heart thumping in her chest, her hands began to feel clammy, and her cheeks flushed with warmth; she was embarrassed. her eyes squinted as she tried to read the barista’s small, messy handwriting, seeing only the ‘choi’ of the name. giving up, a sheepish smile took form on her lips and she straightened herself up again, shrugging as she looked at the other, apologetically. “i don’t think so, i’m sorry but you’re mistaken.”

jinsoulrk:
( ... )
with one hand, she wraps her blanket tightly around her shoulders, leaning back onto the side of her bed as she sat on the floor next to her friend. “yerimmie, i’m serious! what if he’s never dated!” with all of the seniors busy with university entrance exams, her mind wanders to things like this, but she supposes there are worse things she could be thinking of. productivity seems to be at its worst when she tries to think about boys, not that she has enough experience in the area to really have much to think about in the first place, so she fills in the gaps with ideas and stories of her own, just to have something to look forward to.
“i can be his first girlfriend! that would be cute, right?” she leans toward her friend, eyes wide with a kind of anticipation. “we can be first loves! doesn’t minhyun oppa have first love vibes?”
a pout laces her pink lips as yerim listens to her best friend. a warm, plush blanket wraps around her body, the air cold both indoors and out. facing her best friend as she sits across from her, the teenager shakes her head, doubt filling her mind. “no way! but he's so handsome!” her mouth lay agape as she sat stunned by the news from the other girl. after a minute passes, however, yerim relaxes the muscles in her face and shrugs, running a hand through her straight, dark hair as she reaches over to grab a chip from the chip bowl. still doubtful, yerim makes sure to continue voicing her thoughts. “well he must’ve had someone, it just might have been one of those secret relationships, y’know?”
she pauses. jinsoul must’ve been so elated to have found out about her dream boy’s romance-less past, and yerim would’ve been too if she were in the same situation. she knew also, that it would definitely suck for someone to crush your dreams instead of supporting them. the high schooler began to smile brightly, leaning over to take her friend’s hand in her own. “but you know what? he had been training for a long time, so it’s super likely that you’re right!”
it was nights like these with jinsoul that fulfilled yerim’s happiness. tired constantly from school, it’s hanging out with her best friend that suffused her with the energy she needs, a sort of recharge for her bright self. whether it be going out or staying in, just talking about their weeks, tv shows, or simply about idol crushes, yerim valued whatever time they spent together. she didn’t know what she would do without jinsoul.
“oh my gosh, that’d be so cute! you guys would be so, so perfect!” yerim’s small hands cupped her own cheeks as she smiles brightly, purring with eyes bright as she imagined jinsoul with minhyun. “oh! and you can go on double dates with jonghyun-oppa and me! it totally all works out!”

                          ⟨   ✰ starbright casting ‘17 !   ⟩                                                                      ⤷  the interview.
for the past half-hour that she had been seated there, yerim’s face wouldn’t relent the smile that it held. it wasn’t that she was insanely happy or super excited ( which no doubt, she was ), but instead, the smiling was due to the fact that the sixteen year-old was tremendously apprehensive about what was to come. to those around her, her nervous habit of beaming might have appeared as insanity, but yerim didn’t mind the looks at all; she was focused on other things.
that day, she wore an outfit of a black sweater and blue jeans matched with white sneakers and a neat ponytail— the product of about forty minutes on just worrying about what to wear. it was an important day after all.
as the recent news of the upcoming starbright casting auditions floated around her high school, yerim decided to involve herself in all the excitement. sure, she wasn’t as skilled as others who aimed to make themselves known to entertainment companies, but she could still take a chance. who knows, maybe she’ll succeed and even if she doesn’t, yerim knows that it just might not have been her time. it would motivate her to work harder for the next opportunity. she’s nervous but in any outcome, she is still optimistic for the future.
at the sound of her name being called, yerim’s head snaps toward the direction where it came from and she stands up immediately. with a smile clear on her face, she approaches the speaker who proceeds to lead her into a different room filled with a camera, multiple lights, and people. her heart begins to race and she could almost hear the rhythmic thump that it made in her chest. don’t be nervous, she continues to remind herself, it’s just an interview.
a smile still prominent atop her features, yerim politely greets those in the room before situating herself on the chair at the focus of the room. as a man behind the camera began to count down from five, yerim clenches her fist, digging painful holes into soft skin of her palm— an attempt to cease the smiling that made her look idiotic. it worked, but only for a second  as the camera begins to record, and she is once again smiling.
“hello! my name is choi yerim, i am sixteen years old, and i am from seoul, south korea!”
her voice matched the bright expression that covered her face, the corners of her lips almost having reached her ears and her eyes squinted as her cheekbones rose. she takes small, concealed breaths to calm herself and to relax her tense shoulders. she succeeds, and by the last word of her introduction, yerim appears to be as comfortable as she could.
❝ why do you want to become an idol? ❞
why did she? it wasn’t the most ideal career path, as well as she was young and could be focused on other things, but here she was. to be honest, yerim didn’t know why the idea infatuated her so much compared to other things, it just felt right.
she pauses for a brief moment, pondering on how to word her thoughts, before officially making her response: “well, it’s just my dream. i-i don’t really know what it is exactly, but the whole prospect of becoming an idol with a busy schedule and having the opportunity to showcase my talents on a stage— it attracts me. as well, i believe that i have talent and natural capabilities to become one, so i feel that it is meant to be.”
❝ was there any artist in the industry who inspired you? ❞
as soon as the question was finished, yerim immediately begins to nod her head. her small smile widens into something bigger and a soft chuckle escapes her lips. “yes, yes! there are a couple of artists that i have in mind whom were partly involved in influencing my decision for the future.”
she pauses again, this time humming for a moment as she looks away from the interviewer, gathering her thoughts and deciding on who to mention. “oh, it was definitely chichi and sunny hill, as well as ariana grande. they all honestly inspired me by never giving up on their dream and also by remaining optimistic even when things didn’t look good. i aim to have that sort of perseverance.” she nods once more.
❝ on your application, you’ve only listed your father as a familial relation. why is that? ❞
her bright facial expression begins to fade and she lets out a sigh, running her tongue over her bottom lip as she prepared herself to reveal the intimate details of her family to only mere strangers. she didn’t mind the world knowing about the nonexistent relationship she currently had with the woman who birthed her, but she did wonder what they would think of her.
“it is just my dad and me, actually. um, when i was just a baby, my mother left my father and me without a farewell or anything. i never got to meet her. my dad sacrificed so much because of her selfishness and i hated her for that, but, uh, as of now, i feel totally indifferent about her. like, i honestly could care less if she was here or not; i mean, my dad and i have done just fine without her.”
❝ for the skills you’ve listed, how have you worked on them? ❞
her previous half smile returns as the subject is changed and she tilts her head, lifting her hands as she gestures through her curt response. “i currently attend seoul’s school of performing arts, where i am able enrich my learning in the arts and where i also work hard on improving myself and my talents. i also take vocal lessons separately with a private instructor.”
she nods her head, continuing to speak. “i work hard to improve myself and my skills, so that one day, someone can see my effort and allow me to train for them.”
❝ if you didn’t want to be an idol, what would you want to be? ❞
yerim’s optimism wasn’t perfect, and there were times where she doubted herself and her dreams. at times like this, the high schooler would make herself backup plans where she turned her other aspirations into careers, take, for example, her love of service.
“i really, really love to help other people so i’d probably pursue something in the line of serving other people. i’ve thought about maybe becoming a nurse or a special needs teacher— anything that ables me to help people on the daily.” her smile widens again, white teeth clearly visible between her parted lips as her cheekbones rise, before her facial features relax after a short moment.
❝ finally yerim, what sets you apart from all the others? how are you different? ❞
the teenager pauses, not only thinking of how to word her words but also on what the question was asking. how was she different? to the interviewers and to the companies, she may have seemed like all the rest: a girl with big dreams, working hard to achieve it. she was pretty, but she wasn’t necessarily drop-dead gorgeous. she could carry a tune and follow a dance routine, but was neither an amazing vocalist or an expert dancer. so how was she different?
“compared to all the others, i guess i’m pretty average in terms of talent. i’m sure that’s not what you want to hear, but it’s my honesty. i can do a range of things, but i’m not particularly excellent at just one thing. but i feel, what makes me, me, is the fact that i remain positive no matter what. when things aren’t looking great, i keep my head up and work a little harder. i’m the sanguine light to others too. there is no limit to my optimism. none at all.”
on that note, the interviewer wraps up the interview and thanks the high schooler for coming. the camera is shut off and yerim is escorted out by the same person who escorted her in. no doubt a smile embraced her, but this time it wasn’t out of nerves; she was happy. yerim felt she did well and hopefully, the casting agents think so too.

rkdonghyun:
( ... )
when he finally heard a knock on the door, he was rather quick to bolt to his feet, practically skidding across the floor in a scramble to get for the handle. there was a large beaming grin on his face as he yanked open the front door. “hi!” he greeted with enthusiasm, stepping aside to let his friend into the house, “i was waiting for you.”
with the appearance of her friend, a smile instantly appeared on yerim’s features. the tension in her body eased and she proceeded to walk into the home, her smile refusing to fade away. “hopefully, i’m right on time!” she walked further into the home, making her way towards donghyun’s room. her voice and expressions were light and chirpy, contrast to the gray weather of the day. “i would hate to be late and have kept you waiting!”
yerim plopped herself on the floor of the other’s bedroom, crossing her legs together while pulling her bag away from her back and placing it in front of her. she began to sift through the internal of the sack, pulling out notebooks and sheet music, all marked up by the teen’s vigorous note-taking. she also pulled out a notepad where she took down whatever questions donghyun might have for her instructor; wherein, she would ask the particular question to the teacher the next lesson, jotting down each answer given to her verbatim. she offered grade-a help to donghyun and that’s exactly what she was going to give to one of her closest friends.
“ok,” she finished taking her belongings out of the lilac schoolbag, placing them all neatly in front of her. using a hair tie already wrapped around her wrist, yerim began to tie her hair up to get it out of the way: an old habit of hers that she does every time proceeding any work. she smiled at donghyun again. “so, where did you want to start today?”
` confidants.

rkxseola:
( ... )
she’s just exiting the room of her one of her old vocal teachers when she spots the younger girl, and makes a beeline for her, encasing the other in her arms in a backhug. “yerim ah~” she coos, her voice of a sweet, sing-song quality. “classes are over now, right? do you want to get something to eat?”
with a hum and a half smile, yerim walked jovially through the halls of her high school— the final school bell had rung and she was euphoric. an earbud tucked into one of her ears as she walked amidst crowds of departing students, a song she was currently learning for her vocal lessons played lightly through the piece. as the particular song ended, yerim stepped off to one side to avoid getting in another’s way and placed her backpack down, taking out her cellphone to turn the music off and put away her headphones. as soon as she felt arms wrap around her, the teen’s eyes grew wide and she gasped, turning herself around immediately. but once she saw who it was, yerim relaxed her tense body, a bright smile forming on her features. she embraced the older girl happily.
“seola-unnie! it’s so good to see you again!”
in response to the offer given to her, the high schooler hesitates. earlier that day yerim had planned on staying after school longer, just like many other days, but with the sight of a friend in front of her and the prospect of food being offered to her, she couldn’t resist giving in. the teen proceeded to let go of the other and she nods her head eagerly, beaming. “yes, definitely! i’d love to!” relaxing her facial features, yerim picks up her schoolbag off the ground and places a single strap over her shoulder. “did you have a place in mind?”
