The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD) Legacy Challenge

This is a legacy challenge based on Taylor Swift's 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, which comes with up to 31 generations. The first 16 generations correspond with the original release (“Fortnight” to “Clara Bow”). I have also included 15 additional but optional generations based on the songs from The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, the second part of the surprise double release.

I've been working on this on and off for the last 15 months and I'm so excited for it to finally be out!

Please note the following:

I have recommended gameplay mods where I think they make sense to help create an immersive experience. These recommendations are listed on the second tab of the Google Doc and/or within the rules. However, you can play without them.

These generations are designed to be on the longer side. This is aligned with my current style of gameplay, which is generally slower and not as challenge-based. If you want a faster sense of time, you can use a different lifespan.

I’ve noticed that the Fortnight generation is especially long. I’ve done my best to shorten it, but as of right now, you can skip over any rules that don’t apply.

In some places, I have incorporated co-heirs or alternate sets of rules. You do NOT have to do both.

I still consider this a first draft. I am open to feedback and will incorporate it where it seems to fit with a song and/or its theme(s).

The "rules" are guidelines. Some of them are made to be broken.

*I am aware that the Sims 4 logo used in the graphics (here and on Notion) is “old.” Something about the one that came out this year wasn’t sitting right with me. I think it’s too blocky? Anyway, I’m normally okay with it otherwise.

Plus-Sized Female Body Preset

After much delay, here is a custom body preset for fat sims using a feminine frame. This is my very first downloadable piece of Sims 4 CC! I wanted to see more representation for larger bodies that wasn't just super wide hips. I HIGHLY recommend using monharicot's Summer Body fat body details if you want a more realistic looking plus-size sim.

The second rotating gif is with body fitness and fatness sliders set to the very center and all sliders at baseline. I made this preset to intentionally look best with it on high fatness but obviously you can do whatever you want lol, it's a pretty versatile preset so play around with it. And lastly, ⚠️THERE WILL BE CLIPPING WITH SOME CLOTHING.⚠️ Not all clothing will look good with this preset, which is due to a combination of the game's limitations, how creators make their CC, and my ineptness at 3D modeling lmao, especially at higher fatness levels and extreme slider usage. However, a lot of stuff still looks really nice. I'm a brand new creator, so I welcome any constructive feedback! Please please please let me know if there are any issues.

These two shotgun-style homes are bundled together on a cushy lot in Foundry Cove. Highlights include yard space, a 2nd story bedroom, and space for business opportunities. While one of the homes currently houses a sweater-knitting, fun-loving senior, the other building hasn't been maintained since its abandonment. After some tidying up, it'll be ready to be a small business or residential rental when the owner decides to expand their ventures.

GROWN-ISH VANILLA YA TOWNIES (READY TO GROW)

Ah, young adulthood! High school is behind you and the world is your oyster. Except you can’t even get oysters because you’re broke, woefully unemployed, and possessing level 1 cooking skill at best. But while you lack experience, you’re also ready to grow. Maybe even together.

8 young adult townies are ready to join your gameplay. Put them in game and watch them grow. Sims have 1 outfit in every category, pronouns, sexual preferences, likes and dislikes, body hair and (very low) skills.

Again, the sims are vanilla. The sims use items only from the EPs (except Seasons & Cottage Living). If you want them to look like they do in the pictures, check out my defaults linked below. And as always, they’re all in one family so simply plop and play!

New Invisible Crib Mod (2025) ♥

Hey ❀

Firstly: How y'all surviving the new update? ಠ_ಠ"

Secondly: Since none of the invisible crib mods already out there (for years and years) seem to work in my game anymore, I decided to simply create my own — base game compatible. Now it works like a charm and maybe just at this moment you're like "Uh, fresh new 2025 invisible crib mod, let's try this out~" (◕ω◕✿)

This mod replaces the two depressed looking base game cribs "Rock-A-Bye Bassinet" and "WickedWork Bassinet" with an invisible crib. These two are important, because the game will choose one of them automatically when your non-occult Sim is giving birth, and you haven't placed a crib yet -> so your Sims baby will get assigned to one of these. It won't affect the cribs from DLCs at all, so you still can use them as you like with this mod. So now you can place your newborn(s) freely. It works fine with CC cribs and CC newborn skins — even with multiple babies (as you can see in the picture above) ♥

❀How to use this mod:

1) Before birth: place your desired CC crib in your Sims home (or no CC crib at all if you want a floating baby).

2) Before birth: place either the now invisible "Rock-A-Bye Bassinet" OR "WickedWork Bassinet" over your (optionally) already placed CC crib. You can decide, which one you get for your baby, it doesn't matter.

3) After birth: your Sims newborn should automatically get assigned to the invisible crib — whether you placed it over a CC crib or not. So now you can move your baby freely and can place a new crib under them whenever you want.

❀Troubleshooting:

If your Sim is stuck while giving birth, and you haven't already placed one of the two base game cribs mentioned above, simply place one of them (or a DLC crib, if you like) and the birth should progress automatically. Repeat for each multiple.

Fairy Tale Kids Bed

EA ... Questionably decided that kids didn't exist and just didn't make a single bed for some reason with Enchanted By Nature. It's one of the ... MANY questionable decisions with the B/B objects, so I kinda tried to rectify that. I kitbashed this together from a Horse Ranch bed and the toddler bed. It's not perfection but it gets the job done.

The Villa in Terra Amorosa

My first ever build (at least that is completely by me and actually finished to completion). I was so happy with it that ofc I wanted a special way to showcase it. So here it is in the POV of a vacationing sim scrolling through Plumbob Pads (my own sim version of airbnb).

Even added a funny little review section in case I use this template in the future. Just for shits and giggles really.

✨ This build was mostly inspired by some instagram photos I was looking at. @felixandresims gorgeous packs — Colonial, Estate, and Florence were basically my holy trinity when I first started this lot. Of course, true to my nature, I got distracted halfway through (classic) and abandoned it for other projects...

Fast forward to recently: I saw @valiasims latest CC drops and immediately knew I had to plop these works of art somewhere special. And then I remembered this sunny lil’ villa just waiting to be finished — so here we are! New CC, new build, finally feeling like the Tuscan Airbnb of my Sim dreams. 🌞🏡✨

UPDATE:

It is now the 17th. I started writing this on the 1st. Silly me.

As you all probably know by now, the gameplay trailer confirmed that fairies can shrink. It looks like the shrinking will be limited to YA (or teen?) and older, which means in addition to looking at the situation with toddler & child sliders, my height slider fixes will probably also be broken.

Yep… I bought the EP on release day. I told myself it was for the world and the code, but I played with it for several play sessions and still have some more exploring to do. I will say that it’s very niche, especially the full-body CAS. More on that in another post.

TL;DR: Toddler and child sliders will need to be looked at again & any height slider fixes I put out are probably broken. Testing TBD on the latter.

Toddler & Child Sliders - June 24, 2025

As a reminder, the toddler and children sliders are - up to this point - broken indefinitely.

I have exhausted all of my options up to this point. However, I noticed something in the trailer for the new EP that could mess things up: the fairies change sizes! There is a chance that this is just trailer magic but I’m currently unsure of this, as the fairy house pre-order item is about the same size as the rabbit house in Cottage Living. If I’m not able to get any idea about this from the gameplay trailer this week, then I’m hoping that the July 1 patch will provide further insight into this and any other changes that may be made due to the EP.

Speaking of the EP… I’ll probably have to get it 🤦‍♀️ I don’t know how else I’m going to know exactly what’s behind the paywall. Stupid me.
