My take on the whole "We need everyones federal ID to keep kids safe from porn" thing going on.... Its bullshit. Its straight bull.

I was pretty sheltered from porn as a kid but I was touched by multiple trusted adults sooooo maybe porns not the issue here if we wanna protect kids.

Needing my ID to litsen to a MUSIC based streaming service thats known to sell informtion is also weird.

Its almost as if.. its not about protecting kids at all..

just like politicians proposing "sex checks" on sports teams. From middle school to Olympic level... now tell me.. how is a grown-up "checking" multiple childrens or young adult's genitals helping children not be molested? And for what?? For "sport equality" ? So we can all be sexually traumatized the same amount? It's not to keep the players safe. They already have birth certificates. What else do you need? And dont start with that "you can change the sex on your birth certificate" shit because CHILDREN, Cant. Only adults. So.. again.. how is this keeping CHILDREN ..safe?

It's not.. its almost as if it never has been.

My mom is a victim of CSA, so at a young age, my mom showed me a very violent "rape" porn and said if anyone does this to me to tell. I was never afraid of the porn. The porn isn't what scared me. What scared me was the idea (yes, even that young) that someone wouldn't stop even when I cried and begged them to stop.

But the real predators were never violent. They spoke softly to me and told me they're my friend. They gave me toys and said they just wanted to "help" me. They said I needed their help. They even stopped when I cried.

I know this is not the case for a lot of people. But this is my story. And MY experience.

I think we need to express less of the violent stuff and teach kids that if anyone touches you uncomfortably to tell immediately. They said, "Your mom said its okay," and so I didn't tell. In my head now, if I hear ANYONE say this, I instantly say hell no, dont teach kids to keep secrets. At all. They can keep things like their diary private but no secrets between kids and adults. That shit is weird as hell.
