what is wrong with xiao's character? why is he acting like traveller is the only person that matters? i understand that they are definetly more important to him then yelan, qiqi or hu tao, but really? to the extent, where he doesnt even mention hu tao's hard work (and every other character does) or practically tells yelan in her face that he would've been okay with her dying and she shoud've been risking her life instead of traveller cause xiao was worried about them? considering that it would've been even greater risk for yelan.

if im not mistaken, xiao is supposed to care about liyue citizens, isn't he? i genuinely confused right now: have I been misunderstanding him all this time?

i am sure hoyo could've done better. they wanted to do this xiao/traveller fanservice? okay, then xiao could've explained better why he was worried about traveller even when the rest of the characters believed in them. maybe xiao was afraid because with yelan he at least knew what could happen, but the effect of the border on traveller, with them being from another world, would've been completely unpredictable to him.

maybe somebody saw this dialoge in the other light? maybe somebody could justify this to me, but right now i'm just dissapointed in the direction xiao's character is moving.

There is so much gapfiller potential in the fact that Hu Tao, Lan Yan, and Qiqi spent two days inside the border as it was disintegrating around them, and Hu Tao could see the exit but could never reach it in time. Like the border between life and death was both her duty and a place where she is fairly comfortable, she maintained it and in turn it helped her job go smoothly, and now it traps and betrays her despite her efforts, a sanctum desecrated through no fault of her own.

The border is the place where she's supposed to belong, it's her expertise, and suddenly none of her skill or dedication is enough - not to preserve the border, not to deal with the sudden illnesses in Qingce, not even to save the two people trapped her, let alone herself. She's not even in her familiar uniform, not wearing the hat that provides her with confidence, or maybe a reminder of her duties. Yes, she's expecting backup, and no, she's not alone. But she's with a person she just met (albeit one she gets along with) who also bears a long legacy, and the child who might as well be the embodiment of compromise, the proof that Hu Tao's perception isn't perfect. And if she misunderstood Qiqi for so long, what else about her job (her livelihood, her life) has she missed?

sometimes i think about dazai and elise bc like. imagine you're an ability and you've gotten used to getting away with whatever you want bc the guy you belong to let your personality develop into a spoiled little girl and then. and then that same guy who you belong to and therefore cannot actually distance yourself from. brings home this KID. whose entire thing is that he can nullify abilities. which means with just one touch, he can literally make you disappear. and the guy you belong to is just TOTALLY OKAY WITH THIS CONSTANT THREAT???

and then, the inverse, imagine your suicide attempt is intercepted by this lame underground doctor who takes you in and he's already got one other kid with him but then you look closer and. this random girl he has hanging around him is not actually another kid like you but is in fact his ability. his ability?????? she yells and screams and cries and fights like the most annoying brat you've ever met but she's his ABILITY. and so the only other kid around you is someone you can't even touch. not that you'd want to. but. this guy makes you his witness to an assassination and keeps you around even though you refuse to actually join the organization he's now head of but he also still has this other kid who he'll always like better than you because she's an innate part of him. a part you can kill with one touch. how could he not resent you for that?

anyway. you've heard of found family but now get ready for forced family: this lame guy you hang out around has another kid who was basically born and bred to be the antithesis of you. and neither of you can leave.

hot take: i don't like when people make bakugou earn saving points in fix-it fics (or any other au fic).

i genuinely don't think original katsuki hadn't save people because he thought the extras wasn't worth of saving, i think he was just too focused on taking down the robots to notice other kids +he probably would've figured out that ua can not have dead children on the exams and zero victims was the case for all previous years.

i am saying this again, but katsuki always wanted to be a hero, even if it was for power. and everyone knows that heroes duty is to save people.

so, bakugou gaining only villain points is a very important not only because it's symbolic, but also to show katsuki's strength and dedication. it's not an evil thing if you'll think of it, so you really don't need to fix it.

you know what i did immediately after the leaks? went to read sns (sasunaru) fanfics

trying to read some todobaku fics right now and... i want a fanfic where shouto is comforting katsuki and giving him a chance for love, not a revenge-on-izuku fic.

i can admit that i kinda mad at izuku for what happened in 431 (it's irrational and doesn't make any sense, please don't judge me), but i love him too much to really enjoy the scenes where shouto rubs his and katsuki's relationship in izuku's face.

431 just left that bad aftertaste and, even if we are allowed to think that it hasn't happened (as i understood this whole situation?), i couldn't help but think, that i would've been happier if this chapter didn't exist at all
